Located very close to all the attractions making it easy to access on foot. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. Gave me the most reasonable rate for pickup from the airport . The owner's wife made me such a delicious breakfast spread, and special dishes for me because I'm vegetarian. The room is spacious and so is the bathroom which comes with a bathtub and toiletries provided. Overall a very comfortable stay!

Can’t think of anything

It was a beautiful and charming property with very warm and comfortable rooms. Very thoughtfully designed. Run by a very sweet family. The owner Noor beg is very kind and sweet. He helped us book a late night/early morning cab at 2:30am for the train station and also packed us a nice breakfast for the way. Ideally located close to all the main attractions and perfectly placed away from the noisy streets. Very clean and warm room and bathroom. the breakfast spread is also great!

I don't know from where to begin. It is a family owned hotel and I happened to meet the nicest and most hospitable people. If you really want to understand what hospitality is, stay at this property for a night. All your needs will be taken care of. They will make sure that your stay is comfortable. The hard work they havs put to make my breakfast every morning because I have certain dietary requirements, they won my heart. Unlike other hotels, they made sure that I didn't go out empyty stomach. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom is also surprisingly very big. The biggest plus point. All the tourist attractions are at walking distance. You won't need to travel very far to see the attractions. I wish the family good luck . They are, honestly, lovely people. Please support them guys. I guarantee you, you will have an amazing stay.

Excellent place to stay! I had to take a taxi at 4AM and not only did they help me arrange an early morning ride, but also unexpectedly packed a large breakfast to take with me, спасибо! Very friendly and helpful and I would definitely suggest anyone to stay here!

The location is excellent, the family running the place are great people and extremely helpful, the room is simply awesome, and there's nothing negative to say about anything. I liked the place so much I'm coming back to stay again. No need to look around when you can stay in a beautiful place with lovely people and be taken care of like family.

Fantastic location literally right next to the ark of bukhara (my room had a balcony view of it too) and also steps away from the main mosques/plaza. Immaculately clean rooms with both heating and a/c, toiletries, etc. Breakfast was sumptuous. The family that runs this hotel is also very friendly and helpful. There's also a friendly and cute cat that wanders about from time to time (but never disturbs you if you don't want to) as an added bonus.

My room was on the ground floor and the window faced someone’s entrance house. There were some noise sometimes. I asked if I could change for the floor upstairs but unfortunately the hotel was full for the following days. So if it was uptairs I’d have given 10.

The two brothers owners are very helpful and very proactive. Anything I need , they were open to help with a smile. One speaks English fluently so is his wife and both were very polite and made me feel at home. Actually it was Nawruz (New Year in Central Asia) and they prepared a wonderful breakfast with so much food. I could say they deserve 10 out of 10. Very professional and exceed all my expectations.

There was a small issue with the lock at the door, so it took a bit of patience to lock the room. The walls seemed a little thin, so sounds from other rooms and outside could be heard. However, it did not bother me - I slept very well.

The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating. Even though there was a little language barrier, I felt very welcome in the Old Gate Hotel. The breakfast was freshly prepared every morning and was very delicious. The location is ideal to discover the old town of Bukhara - all the major sights are in walking distance.

Very friendly staff. specially Matloobeh, her brother and son. They went out of their way to help us getting taxi even buying sanitizer for us when we just asked about where to buy. She even didn’t want to take the sanitizer cost. The hotel is warm and the view is very beautiful. It is like you went back in time for ancient good days. Breakfast was very nice, tasty and generous. we will definitely come again to this hotel, InshaAllah.

Wi-fi was bad, though local sim cards provide 20-30mbps easily, so it was ok. I'd say everything was fine, the location might be better.

It was actually good, host was nice and friendly. There is a laundry service as well, which can be useful.

This has been the top stay of our whole time in Uzbekistan! Nurbek and his family were very welcoming and helpful with every question question we had. The house is their former historic family home and there is a lot of love and detail put into every corner. It's beautiful. The rooms are spacious and warm (we visited in winter). Amazing breakfast, too. The location is super, view from the room of the Ark and just round the corner from the Kalon minaret.

Very communicative and helpful staff, the hosts speak English perfectly. They arranged transfer to Khiva on short notice. Continental breakfast. Room was extraordinary, tidy and lavishly decorated. Great location in the very center of Bukhara.

I highly recommend this family run hotel! Nurbek and his brother are nice people. They will do all possible ways to make your stay relaxing and hassle free. The hotel is very near to Ark bukhara and other tourist spots. The breakfast was great! I really love the rice porridge:). I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Highly recommended! From the very start when Umid was waiting for me at the station it felt like home. Umid is as a brother that takes care of you to safely take you to the hotel. The family hotel is very beautiful and extremely clean (which I very much appreciated). Most important is the matras and this was absolutely amazing. Rooms are nice decorated in Moroccan style. Rahmatillo, bro of the owner (Nurbek), is always happy to assist when and where needed. He is very talkative and ensures that you feel at home. He prepared amazing breakfast, which did not only look good but was really delicious. The hotel itself is located in the heart of the old city and all sightseeings are on walking distance. If I were going back to Bukhara, I definitely would stay at this place again.

The man who I think was the owner said that breakfast was between 7 and 10am but then insisted that I have breakfast at 8am. When I said 9.30 he said no it had to be at 8am. I was on holiday and not going to get up at 8am to have breakfast after a long day of travelling there the day before. This happened the following day as well. I am not sure if he does this to everyone. I did not have breakfast because of this and then he asked why I didn’t get up for it. I also paid in cash and he made a big performance of having to look through all my USD to find notes that he wanted. If there are particular types of notes you want then you have to tell people. A terrible way to have a first interaction with someone. Overall, his attitude but a real dampener on this hotel.

The room was extremely clean and well kept. The location was great and it was overall a good place to stay.
