Although a bit hidden (not in one of the main streets but well signalized enough) the hostel is conveniently located a few blocks from Registan Square. There are also cafes, restaurants, drugstores etc in this central region of the city. The host, Sherzod, provides the guest with a print map of the city, with the main attractions spotted (and also ATMs, restaurants etc). Listen to him, his tips are really good. One of the restaurants he suggested served the best meat I have ever eaten. And he has tips for everything, from cafes to nightclubs. The breakfast is served individually, and consists of eggs, sausage, two slices of bread, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese, jam, tea or coffee and juice. The dorm had enough room for luggage and shoes, and the beds were protected by curtains. Each bed had a lamp and a power source. Final tip: don't accept the overpriced offers of taxi drivers when leaving the train station. It is possible to get the tram that stops right in front of it for just 2000 UZs (1 BRL, 0,20 USD). The tram goes up to Siyob Bazar. From this last stop to the hostel it is just a ten minute walk. Ask around in the train station to make sure you are catching the right tram.

Small hostel, which means it's very sociable. Location is really ideal, right by the big mosque, five-ten minutes to Registan Sq. The staff are very kind and helpful, overall it's the most popular hostel in Samarkand for good reason, and justifies its slightly higher price point.

The only small thing is that there is no daylight in the room, as the windows are facing the yard.

We loved this place! The owner was super helpful and friendly. Since the yandex app did not work for us, he ordered yandex for us via his app from and to train station, thanks to which we did not overpaid for taxis. The room was spacious and comfortable. The small yard was beautiful and provided great shadow from the heat. Breakfast was delicious, and you could even choose between fried eggs or scrambled eggs. And the pancakes with marmelade after were a great finish :) you can also leave your luggage here safely after check out. This is a community hostel where travelllers meet and chat in the yard, so if you want piece, maybe choose a different place, but we loved chatting a bit to fellow travellers! For the price, this is more than great!!!

They've made my trip memorable! Amazing, helpful, kind staff with comfortable, clean rooms and delicious breakfast. Can't even ask more! They are fluent in English, which could help you a lot during your trip to Uzbekistan.

    - Yandex didn’t serve the main road from where this stay is under 30 sec walking, but it wasn’t an issue because there’s another narrow road that’s 3-4 min walk away

    - Excellent location; all main sites are nearby - Cafes/restaurants nearby - Grocery stores nearby - Delicious & big breakfast - Staff was super friendly & helpful - Dorm beds have curtains so privacy was great - Extremely clean

For the relatively high price I was surprised there was only one bathroom per dorm and seemingly no indoor communal space for when it rains.

Freshly cooked free breakfast, individual lockers, courtyard setting, perfect location and friendly staff.

We stayed in room with private bathroom. The bathroom is too tiny and one can barely shower. I’d think private room with shared bathroom is a better option.

Very well located! Can walk to all sites! They gave us a map on arrival and had good tips to offer. Communication was fast and clear. Breakfast was wholesome and room was clean. We had good two days in Samarkand.

More frequent cleaning of the toilets would have been great. Whereas the overall cleanliness is good and staffs were friendly and supportive.

Located near Bibi Khanym mosque which makes it a very good location having access to all the major attractions. The property is also done nicely, perfect for travelers with a open corridor in the center.

The hostel is located in a small street, your taxi will have to drop you off at the end of the alley and you have to finish the last 50 meters by foot. It can be a bit tricky to find it, so if you see a board indicating "Hotel Old Street", it's in the same street ! The big advantage of being deep into the small streets is that it’s extremely quiet during the night, and it is yet extremely well situated because you can access the big touristic street "Tashkent Road" by using a small gate, 5 minutes to the bazar or the registan. If needed there are a lot of mini-markets around. When I arrived the check-in was quick, plus the staff speaks a very good english and give you a list of restaurants and cafes. I was in the 8 beds shared-room. The room is nicely decorated, even with 8 beds it is arranged in a way that you have space to move and you can put your luggage next to the beds on the side. A thick brown curtain is here for your privacy. I really appreciated that the lights in the rom have 3 options (bright, medium and dim). Plus each bed have an outlet and a bedside light. I had a nice breakfast with eggs (omelett, fried or scrambled), sausages, tea or coffee, pancakes, biscuits. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. Also a tip for the bathroom, for hot water turn the tap to the right (even if the blue line is on the right side and the red one on the left). Sherzod was also very helpful when I left. He quickly booked a taxi because I had been waiting mine for more than 10 minutes.

Location is tricky . The small aisles can be irritating if you have are carrying luggage and it’s sunny . A board on the main road where taxi usually stops will help a lot . There is a glossary shop and the owner helps with locating the hostel .

Complete hostel vibe . A house is converted to hostel partly and young people do speak English . Decent breakfast . Wifi is good and so is 24 hrs hot water.

The Ac has broken down which made the dorm really hot at times and the breakfast could be better as everything was just too sweet for my liking 😅. But again the host was kind enough to offers me some eggs and toast .

This place has such a homey cozy atmosphere. You have a really nice old lady preparing your yummy breakfast and the owner and other staff are very accommodating. They give you a map with the nearby locations you should visit in Samarkand. The days we stated here we got to experience snowfall and probably the last day of snow. It felt very magical.
