Pillars were hard, but that is very much a personal thing .

Property was well located, family were really friendly very helpful, Breakfast was a mini feast and tasty. Very clean. Location meant you could get up in the morning and pretty much have the area to yourself. Great for photos. The upstairs seating area had fantastic views, lovely colours as the sun went down.

These are definitely not complaints, but just personal to me. The bed was a bit hard and I did struggle a bit with the bath - but I wouldn't have had it any other way as it made my stay even more authentic!

Definitely the highlight of the holiday to stay in this beautiful house. The location was amazing inside the walls. The terrace was beautiful and makes this place extra special. The breakfast was served to you on the terrace and it was like a banquet, with the amazing view and amazing breakfast we were definitely not in a rush to get an early start on the sites each morning. It was so convenient to wander back for a cuppa on the terrace during the day and people watch! The family are very friendly and the daughter speaks good English. If you want the whole package of having amazing welcome, amazing food, amazing view - this ticks all the boxes.

I liked everything

The Polvonnazir Guest House is in a very convenient location inside the old city walls. It is small and homey— literally homey, since the family who runs it also lived there. They are so warm and kind that it is like visiting your cousins! The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast excellent with a fabulous view while you eat.

View from the terrace is like an AI image of an Aladdin movie...stunning. The breakfast was delicious and enough for several people...and you are sitting on that wonderful terrace.

While our stay was overwhelmingly positive, I would suggest that the owners consider some improvements to the shower room for added comfort. On the first floor, where our room was situated, there was occasional noise from the bustling tourist street outside. However, it's important to note that this is inherent to the location and doesn't warrant significant complaint. Despite these minor considerations, the genuine warmth of the reception and the exceptional treatment we received overshadow any drawbacks. The hospitality extended by the owners made us feel not just like guests but cherished friends. Our heartfelt thanks to the owners for creating an environment that truly feels like a home away from home!

Lets start from location - its great , in old town, you feeling like in mediaval ages. Owner - so nice and sweet and always ready to help, breakfast - more than enough. And the last, but not enough place and time to explain - so colorful place to stay in the family of nice uzbekian people with super views in terrace to Khiva.

The location and view were stunning. The family who hosted us was very friendly and helped us out throughout our stay. They were very accommodating… The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Also I do recommend doing all the shopping with the family store locating just in front of the guest house. I went to many different shopping stores but none could beat their prices… they do accommodate their guests !

It was my first stay in a guesthouse in the country and it was the best one! Very nice family, the breakfast is great with a very nice view. One of the best point to see the sunrise actually in the city. The room was warm all the time during my stay (starting winter) perfect! And the beds very comfy. Excellent WiFi for work! Totally recommend it!

BOOK THIS AMAZING GUEST HOUSE! The balcony provided the best view I've ever had in my life! Loved sitting there over breakfast as well as later in the evening admiring the beauty of Khiva. Felt like I'd gone back in time. Breakfast was out of this world - it was my best breakfast for the whole trip and was HUGE! Many fruits, cakes, fried eggs, traditional savoury pastry, all the condiments and so much more. The lady who runs it has a little souvenir stall just outside the front door and is so incredibly sweet and kind. I would love for all my of my friends and family to come and stay here. It is extremely good value for money too. I have included photos of breakfast on the balcony, as well as the view from the balcony.
