We had some issues with using our credit card (from America), but we were able to withdraw cash. Wifi was slow, but then they gave us a hot spot.

Awesome staff. Super friendly and helpful. Very willing to support whenever they can. Incredibly unique hotel infused with history and interesting decor. You will not have had a stay like this. Room facilities were nice and clean. Great breakfast

Nothing to dislike.You cannot go wrong if you book this hotel.

The breakfasts were exceptional. Quantity and quality abounds. Had no complaint.The effort taken in decoration and telling the story of the Silk Road era gave our trip a life of it's own. My wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary occured during this stay. We were up graded to the Amir suite for the first night, treated to drinks.

The staff is super friendly, very understanding, and absolutely pleasant to interact with! Whether it’s the intricate art in the second and third floor, each of the exquisite rooms which have their own theme, the “Alishaan” heritage-themed decor which is exuberant, luxurious and royal, their in-house wine with samplers given on both evenings, or even the homely yet exquisite delicacies served (vegetarian friendly btw) at the breakfast buffet, or even the magazines kept atop the seating areas which show traditional dressing with the stellar historic locales in the background- every bit of this hotel will leave you completely satisfied and more!

A beautiful boutique hotel. Very nicely decorated with local handicrafts and traditional costumes. The hotel is brand new and in a very good location. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Very comfy beds, new soft towels, large bathroom. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choices and the ladies there very nice and helpful. The reception staff and also the hotel manager were very nice, polite and extremely helpful with a very good understanding of english. They treat all the guests every evening with a glass of wine which you can enjoy outside on the terrace if you like. They even gave us a complimentary taxi ride to the airport! Thank you so much for our lovely stay!

Everything was Perfect - as we arrived we got a free Upgrade to a huge suite as well as a free ride to the airport as we had to be there early in the Morning. There is a charming exhibition in the Hotel about smarkands history. The Location is very good, still quiet in the Night, very comfortable beds! Thanks a lot, it was a perfect stay

I booked a smaller room. It was a tight fit in the bathroom with the toilet being installed close to the shower wall. If you are a larger guest, you might want to request a larger bathroom.

I had an exception stay at this hotel for many reasons. I stay in hotels about 200 nights a year and my stay here was a top experience. Firstly, the staff was excellent. The front desk speaks fluent English, which is appreciated as English is not widely spoken in Uzbekistan. They were very helpful and accommodating and I felt very well looked after The room, and whole hotel, are spotless - hospital clean. Everything was crisp, new, and in excellent condition. No stains, no ratty towels. Even the caulk in the shower was fresh. I manage several airbnbs. and just for fun, I checked in the spots that are usually missed by cleaners. The team here didn't miss anything. The walkways to the room are filed with very interesting local items that add to the character of the hotel. breakfast was delicious with many options to choose from including fruit, cheeses, nuts, eggs, pastries, assorted meat and some local pancake foods. They have a nice tea selection and a fancy hi-end Bosch cappuccino machine. I saw some past reviews that expressed some concerns about the staff or the request for reviews. I did not experience anything like that at all, just genuine hospitality. They also offer complimentary wine in the evenings - Red and White. I'm not much of a drinker, so they Brough me some nice fruit instead. the room was a bit on the smaller side, with 2 twin beds, but it's nicely laid out with quality furniture and a nice wardrobe. There are also several nice sitting areas, including the covered outside upper terrace. If I was going to spend more time hanging out in the room, I'd want more space. but, I would have booked a bigger room. Perfect size for a solo traveler. The location was about a 25 minute leisurely walk to Registan Square - one of the main attractions in the city. It's a leisurely walk on wide and clean boulevards. Cab rides are absurdly cheap in Uzbekistan. It's $2 there.

Nothing really. Only in general, if you travel for work be aware that the internet is not that strong and fast.

The hotel is very nice and very well decorated, with local arts for travelers to know the history and culture of uzbekistan. But what we loved the most was the hotel staff. Everyone has been super nice with us, helped us with transportation, restaurants etc and went the extra mile to make ourselves feel comfortable and enjoy our stay. We travel a lot and this kindness is very difficult to find elsewhere, especially in big hotels chains.

Everything about the hotel, staff, location was AMAZING. The hotel itself looks amazing whit a museum type pieces showing on each floor, and also decorated very nicely. The staff are always attentive and helpful with everything you need ( manager helped me organise a buchet of flowers for my wife's birthday) - much appreciated - everyone else was smiling and helpful and also went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Breakfast was really tasty and with plenty of options to select from - also the lady serving it very helpful and kind. All in all a great choice and good value for money, really recommended !

The hospitality was fantastic and they went above and beyond to make sure our trip was perfect. It has been a very long time since I have experienced hospitality like it. This is my third time in Samarkand and it was by far the best area we have stayed. During previous trips, we have staying within 5 minutes walking if the Registon but this area is much better. There are lot of great restaurants close by (I can highly recommend Brothers Steakhouse and The Blues Bar) and it was still easy to get to all the main attractions. We took a yandex around but it is also possible to walk too. The hotel combines traditional Uzbek culture with modern convenience and it was not just a place to stay but a truly wonderful experience. It exceeded all our expectations and we will definitely be staying here again.

Everything was perfect! Great breakfast, lovely rooms, wonderful central location. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive to all details of our stay - the complementary fruit, wine and even the transfer to the airport on our day of departure. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and will certainly book here for all future trips to Samarkand!!

Wifi could improve, but generally an issue in the country. Facilities weren't quite at the point of what was mentioned on booking. Not necessarily the fault of the facility, but the pool mentioned on booking is yet to be constructed.

Excellent Breakfast, staff is extremely forthcoming and helpful with all queries. Design of the hotel is interesting and makes for an interesting experience.
