Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaOnly one issue: all the rooms face a main road which has a lot of traffic noise. It might not be so bad on the higher floors, but I had to wear earplugs each night. Having said that, I would stay they again.
Location was excellent, in a seemingly safe suburb with many good restaurants in easy walking distance. Metro station is close, although the staff recommended that I don’t use it. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful (although they didn’t speak English).

United KingdomI stayed 12 nights and it would have been great to have some coffee or tea making facilities in the room as the restaurant doesn’t open until 7am. A lamp on the (rather narrow) desk would also help business travellers. Other minor things, which didn’t take away from having a good experience: the supposed workout room was not really working (I recommend to exercise on the nearby Parque Miranda which is buzzy, beautiful and safe). There was no safe in the room and I had to keep borrowing the iron from reception because there weren’t enough appliances going around. Many TV channels were not tuning properly and the AC was quite loud, so I could hear the blasting volume from my neighbours’ TV. Again, these were nuisances rather than massive problems, and I didn’t lose my sleep over any of them!
Overall, I had a very good experience staying in this hotel. It is comfortable, the rooms are quite spacious, it is very well located and the staff is super helpful - especially the cleaning ladies and the restaurant staff - so I felt looked after. Views of Mount Avila are gorgeous, especially in the afternoon when the parakeet are playing, and even though the rooms face a busy road, the place is quiet at night and at least in the higher floors the noise doesn’t bother.

VenezuelaYou are paying for a 4 star hotel, it has international 4 star low season prices but the service is in line with an international 3 star, I understand the difficulties of the country and it is understandable but: you cannot make local calls from the room or from the center business, there are no amenities such as toothbrush and toothpaste, you cannot charge the restaurant and cafeteria to the room, there is no minibar.
The location, the super helpful staff (housekeeping, reception, restaurant, bakery) a pleasant surprise for the age old of the hotel. They continue François' legacy.

The hotel location is excellent. Very clean and confortable rooms. Air conditioning a little bit noisy. Floor rug could be in better shape. The hotel is in general very well maintained. Parking is free for guest. Hotel staff is very kind. Restaurant by the pool had very good service and food was quite good. Even better than at Hotel Tamanaco. This hotel is definitely a good value option. Will stay there at my next trip to Caracas

VenezuelaBeside from the safe that was not working, the shower head inside the very large bathroom was actually not the freshest : two situations where the only solution offered was to switch rooms -an option we declined. There was an issue with the computers that used to be in the lobby so they have nicely offered to use one behind the front desk. We were very surprised when walking back on a saturday night around midnight to have found the gate open with no security and no one at the front desk, on one way underlining how safe the area actually is. It still has made us question the security but they were always at least one or two people on the parking level checking cameras that were everywhere.
Perfect location with very big and comfortable rooms. Beautiful view from the balcony and really comfortable being and linen. Even though you can tell the hotel hasn't gone under renovations for at least a decade considering some little details on the pieces of furniture or the safe that would not work, it is still in a general way very well maintained and very clean. The swimming pool area is nice.

Dominican RepublicHumidity smell in the room, probably because of the carpet. As a coffee lover, a small electric coffee maker would be highly appreciated. One of the led lights needs to be replaced, it kept blinking when turned on. Air conditioner made a metallic sound.
Location was excellent and the staff was friendly and courteous. The bathroom was very spacious. La Terraza, space by the pool had some cool swings you can use to read or enjoy a drink. The bed was very comfortable, we had a nice and resting sleep.

LithuaniaI mostly never put that low rates, but my rate is based on 4**** hotel's level. 1. Shuttle and meeting in airport. I arrived without internet, wifi didn't work in airport. Driver didn't come to meet me, I had to ask local people to help me find hom. It took 1 hour. 2. No one speaks English in 4**** hotel. 3. Staff wasn't helpful even with basic issues.
