Green homestay is on the outskirts of Cat Ba town in a very quiet area. The homestay itself is beautifully set up around a central pool area. My room was a nice size and overlooked the pool. The staff were amazing all around. The breakfast was included in the price and was slighty underwhelming. The towels were changed every day which is nice given the pool and beaches. I used one of their scooters every day for small fee to check out the island and go into town. keep an eye on your gas levels!

Breakfast was quite basic, the rooms could have been cleaner, there was a lot of dust and bits under the beds.

I loved how calm and chilled it was at Green home stay. After a very busy two weeks travelling we extended our stay at green home stay to really unwind. The food was delicious, the staff were amazingly helpful. Staff managed to arrange early check in as we had arrived so early. The pool was beautiful, the grounds of the hole stay are exactly as pictured. Gorgeous views, beautiful surroundings and honestly just so quiet and relaxing.

The family was so friendly and helpful. This is the best Homestay we’ve had so far. You can book trips with them and it has a fair price. The motorbikes to rent are also well taken care off.

Everything was absolutely amazing, staff always helpful, they arranged for us motorbikes and kayaking trip around bay, rooms are clean and surrounding is stunning, we enjoyed our stay there and it was one of our best accommodation ever, can definitely recommend you will enjoy it a lot.

We were unlucky with the weather when we stayed and unfortunately this meant the room was slightly damp. It may be useful to have heaters for when it is rainy and cold.

Beautiful location and views. Lovely pool area and dining area. The bungalows were spacious and very light with the large windows. We also enjoyed that there was a pool table. We had dinner there each night and the food was delicious. The breakfast was also excellent - great banana pancakes and even better that breakfast is included in the stay! We were able to rent motorbikes for free to go around the island. They gave good recommendations of where to go and organised our Ha Long Bay boat tour for us. Those working at the homestay were so nice and the host mentioned he was only looking after the place while his brother was away. He went over and above to ensure we enjoyed our stay so we were very surprised to hear he was only covering. Greatly appreciated his hospitality! Overall a lovely experience and would definitely stay here again.

1)Bathroom has shower and toilet right next to eachother and the floor stays wet. Needs better ventilation, as its remains damp the whole day. 2)We knew it was far out of town. However In low season the beach nearby & other restaurants in the neighbourhood are closed/empty. We did rent a scooter but with the cold/rain we found the 15min drive to restaurants less convenient.

Rooms are basic but clean and have a nice small terrace looking to the well maintained garden/pool. (Correct value for money). Breakfast had a choiche of bread, pancake, or noodle soup and included fruits daily. The restaurant serves meals too and you can use the pool table. All info and communication before arrival was very helpful. Staff provided information/assisted with booking bus transport and motorbike rental .And while we did not use it due to the cold weather, the pool does look amazing.

We loved everything about our week-long stay at Green Homestay. The location was perfect for us to explore the island on a scooter/motorbike (which they have available for rent). It's in a quiet neighborhood on a hill with a view of one of the bays, which is within walking distance — maybe half a kilometer or about 10-minute walk down the hill. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowering plants, bougainvillea and jackfruit trees that make the property feel like an eco-resort. The pool is pristine and clean! The staff works tirelessly to keep everything in perfect condition — everyone seemed to be working around the clock. The included breakfast was very good — with a choice of a beverage (ranging from coffee to smoothies) and a choice of food (ranging from pho to eggs with banh mi to fruit pancakes) and always served with a plate of fresh fruit. We also enjoyed a couple of other meals there and everything we ordered was delicious. Most of all our host, Mr. Win was everything you could ask for in a great host. He was super-friendly and assisted us with anything we needed from providing suggestions for things to do in Cat Ba to arranging travel for us back to Haiphong. We would highly recommend Green Homestay and will stay here again next time we come to Cat Ba.

We booked a boat tour and bus tickets through them and everything was smooth and easy. They helped us with recommendations for hiking and visiting. Everything was great!

The host Mr Win welcomed us pleasantly and he was extremely friendly. The service is outstanding and they really care about their guests. Although the location is a bit further from Cat Ba town, they offer the possibility to rent a scooter for a low price.

The Green Homestay is a very lovely and quit place. Everything was clean, the rooms and bed very were comfortable. Mr. Win was all time available for our needs and provided a very good service. If we ever come back to Cat Ba, it would definitely be this place again.

Because of the time of year the weather was quite cold and damp and therefore we did feel the room itself was quite damp, our clothes struggled to dry and we did think the room would benefit from a heater of some sort. The bathroom was fine but more of a wet room type arrangement, again fine given the price paid though!

The Homestay is in a lovely quiet and fairly rural location - very different to the main Cat Ba town. It was quite cold while we were there so we didn’t make use of the pool (which looked great). There was also a large social area with a pool table and tables/chairs for breakfast and dinner. The staff were very friendly and were able to help organise tours if needed and also taxis into town (150,000vnd one way). also scooter hire also available. It’s not walkable really into the main town so worth knowing that transport to and from the main area for bars/restaurants is needed.
