Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandThe hotel charging extra for sunbeds and beach-towels I found quite sketchy. When going to such a hotel, the main activity will be relaxing at the waterside. Therefore, charging extra gives a slightly “strange” feeling. Also, one was required to deposit either a passport or USD 100,- upon checking in, which again was a little bit odd, and certainly not something I had ever experienced before giving me a feeling of “mistrust”.
We stayed in the resort for five nights and had the bungalow with garden-view. The room was quiet, well-equipped, spacious and featured a rain-shower in the (a bit smelly) patio. Be aware that the garden bungalow barely gets any daylight; if you’re spending your day outside all day, this is no issue though. Otherwise, a normal hotel room would be your preference. The resort consists of multiple pools, restaurants and its own beach access with plenty of space for all guests. Noteworthy is the service-orientation of the hotel personnel. Although communicating in english is overall “challenging”, in the end both sides understand each-other. For further wishes, the hotel uses whatsapp, which makes communicating very convenient, for example when reserving a dinner spot. The pool-area with the bar and food-corner is a great place to hangout and under good management. The personnel carries a genuine smile which made us return daily to the pool-side-restaurant. The hotel’s own beer brewery is a truly unique and tasty feature. Breakfast is very diverse and freshly made. For trips to the city the hotel offers its own shuttle service.

NetherlandsCheck in took way too long (they forgot us) and staff in bar and restaurant could improve their level of service. It was very hot in the gym. Food at breakfast that was supposed to be warm, was sometimes too cold. Not much to do in surroundings nearby, but Nha Trang is easy to reach by Grab.
Beautiful garden and swimming pools with great views on Nha Trang. Spacious and comfortable room. Own brewery on site. Extensive breakfast. Seafood restaurant a few minutes walking from the resort was great.

SingaporeWe have to pay 2Usd for the laundry bag. like any other hotel and resort, it should be given free. we have spent hundreds of dollars for the food and service, we don’t mind paying the usd 2. To us it does not feel good as we are already willing to spend our money there for a good time for 5 nights but we feel that the resort is stingy and calculative for a laundry bag during check out. the hotel should just include the laundry bag cost into the hotel fee. I still give Alibu a very good review because it was a good resort and want to to improve on this.
Fantastic resort! me and my fiancée have a great time there. food is good and good quality. quite and very relaxing. new resort. every staff is very friendly in the resort. I will want to come Alibu again!

AustraliaThe hotel was still under renovation and construction so sauna and spa was not available yet.
Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean and the complimentary fruits, canape and drinks every day was such a nice touch. Made our stay at Alibu very enjoyable. We are a family of four, and they let us have 2 bungalows next to each other so we are always in contact with the kids

RussiaWoke up in the middle of the night due to some technical noise the lasted till 8 in the morning. The staff didn't manage to fix the problem – it repeated the very next night (it seems to me that was some kind of pump working, but can't tell for sure). But the worst thing of all – ants, that occupied our luggage bag so that we were forced to through it away, as well as the portable steamer (it was full of ants). We've discovered this ant thing the day before check-out, so it was really disturbing.
Really nice restaurant: one of the most tasty Pho I've ever tried (highly recommend it for the breakfast), good in-house brewed beer.

VietnamLater that evening on returning from the city we found a letter from the hotel in our room informing us that the work will continue for the coming days. We discussed with the Manager again (apparently only responsibile for the restaurant) and he was as supprised as us. We left it with him to discuss again with the owner. After being informed by the hotel that the work would stop for the coming two days to help us enjoy our stay at the resort, we thought amazing a hotel that really focuses on its guests experience....! We are really disappointed and feel that a hotel with such high ambitions should be more focused on its guests and when you say something will happen make sure it does....a promise is a promise. THIRDLY there is no PRIVATE beach, only a slab on concrete by the sea. On booking said the resort has a private beach, this is not true and maybe what they are trying to build..... We picked this resort because reviews seemed very positive, photos looked amazing and location was ideal for our need to take 3 days rest and relaxation. What we got was 3 days of banging, crashing, dust and diesel fumes whilst the construction continued.....Thanks for ruining our time in Nha Trang....! TOTALLY a SCAM !!!
The WORST resort ever.....!!! TOTALLY a SCAM !!! PLEASE READ before booking! FIRSTLY, we paid for 3 nights in a bungalow with a sea view, what we actually got was an appartment with a sea view. The resort does not have the typical bungalows you would expect to find in a tropical resort. SECONDLY, during our stay they were constructing a new area on the sea front near the pool and our appartment. We raised this with the resort as the noise was annoying when we booked a resort to rest and relax. One of the Managers discussed this with the owner and informed us that the work would stop for the remaining duration of our stay (2 days). Later that day in the afternoon they started to work again which we found strange.
