Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaOur first two nights the resort was hosting conventions, culminating in a dinner with speeches and music till 10pm that had a sound system that was amazingly loud, I mean crazy loud, 10 floors up and you could hear it through closed doors and headphones loud! Not the best introduction, though certainly not the end of the world. The cost of things at the resort vs outside it was expensive, comparative to Australian prices, this was expected and we worked around it for the most part. The exception was laundry. $16 US for a token and enough washing powder to do 1 load of laundry, yourself, in an onsite laundry mat, or $24 US for washing and 1 dryer cycle is downright ridiculous and infuriating in my opinion. A lot of the on-site restaurants were closed while we were there which really limited our dining options. The breakfast restaurant was very loud and frenetic, very large and set low in the landscape, so no nice views from any of the tables and while there was plenty of food options they weren't varied much so it got a bit repetitive if you're there for a week. Lastly the water temperature in the showers (we were in the north tower) barely made it to luke warm most days.
The Alma was a great resort with very good facilities. Pools were clean and plentiful, often we had one to ourselves. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and there are lots of tables. Staff were lovely, hard working and for the most part, spoke very good English. The apartment was HUGE with a great ocean view and very comfortably accommodated the four of us. Our kids (12 & 15) had a blast and loved the waterpark, pools and Italian restaurant buffet pizza and icecream nights. The gym facilities were excellent and it was easy to get around on the golf carts as needed. I asked if it was possible for a birthday cake to be made for our son and they made a lovely one for us for free, which was a wonderful bonus. The nearest town, Cam Lam, was a short drive away with heaps of restaurants, spas and shops. Overall it was a wonderful week at the Alma and we would recommend it for a family holiday.

VietnamLong wait for check in and check out :( Water park allowed outside guests so we dont feel like it was a part of the resort.
All services exceeded my expectations despite busy business during the holiday. There are many restaurant options and the service was fast. There are 12 pools so it was not hard to find a less busy pool. Kids club is huge with lots of fun activities. There's even a science museum within. We feel like 3 days were not enough to do everything. My 3yo had such a great time. There's a food court for lunch with less $$. The room is so spacious and there are 2 toilets. I've never stayed any resort with 2 bathrooms. We loved everything abt Alma and definitely would come back. One of the best resorts.

South AfricaThe restaurants were very expensive and always empty, I would imagine that if they dropped their prices to an affordable level they should be able to fill them up. The Alma Mart supermarket was also expensive and about 200% more expensive than what you would pay in a normal supermarket. Even though the units have their own kitchens, there are no cooking utensils or bowls. Each unit gets 2 plates and 2 knives. Nothing more. The resort is far from everything, once you leave the resort, it is a long journey to Nha Trang, about 30 min by taxi, so if you do not want to stay in the resort the entire time, this might not be a good option.
We stayed at Alma for one week in January. This resort is very big and there are multiple accommodation options. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment in the towers. The view was spectacular and the unit was big and very new. The unit was cleaned daily. The waterpark was a big highlight for the children and they enjoyed all the different slides. The mini golf and archery were also great. The youth club had various options for the kids, but the games were all expensive and nothing was included in the hotel price. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous and everything that you could possibly want was available. The kids loved the children's buffet as well as the chocolate fountain.

AustraliaThe resort is so big there’s so much to do, we had dinner at the Italian restaurant on site and it was the best pizza and pasta I’ve had in a very long time. The staff are super friendly and accomodating, nothing is too much for them. Our kids didn’t want to leave just like us

South KoreaA minor gripe, which isn't really the resorts fault, but we had noisy neighbours one night. The staff handled it well though.
The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We had a medical emergency on (a very late) arrival and they were super helpful getting us to a hospital, and checking up on us to make sure all was OK the next morning. For the whole week there, the staff were 1st class. The facilities are also amazing, especially for families.

FranceNot enough buggys to move around. The resort is very big and we had to wait 20 minutes under the sun with kids every time we wanted to go somewhere… And not convinient at all with baby stroller or wheel chair, because there are stairs everywhere :( Half of the pool were closed. We didnt mind but we notice it. Staff didnt want to give us towels at the water park for the kids. Some are very nice and other are rude at the pool and breakfast.
Big, confortable and clean apartment with beautiful view. Nice with kids : water park, kids club, etc. Amazing breakfast ! Staff speak english well :) Well organised : Good idea to use bracelets to pay !

AustraliaThe food was all fine - nothing amazing, but totally acceptable and a wide variety.
This is an exquisite, beautiful resort with every amenity you could ask for, for a very reasonable price. If Australia had a direct flight to CXR airport, I can see many more fmmilies coming here. But the long flight to HCMC and additional domestic flight make it a deal breaker for many Aussies who look at Bali or Fiji instead. I am so glad I brought my family to Alma. It was worth the flight. The value for money is excellent. For now this resort isa bit undiscovered and therefore uncrowded. We loved having the choice of many peoples, often sharing with nobody else! We had the entire beach to ourselves. The splash park is popular but still uncrowded. The whole place is clean and beautiful. We upgraded to a beachfront pavilion with private plunge pool - it was luxurious and a fabulous choice to have our own place to return to when wanting to rest or get out of the sun, yet still have the view and a pool in the shade, rather than being in the towers. It was so private and quiet.
