Cleaning can definitely be better. Also there is no attention to details, for example- there is a big coach but there are no pillows on it, there is no small reading light. Could use a bit more love….

The location is the best part! Very nice neighborhood, vivid but not too much, we loved it. Has a more local vibe then the tourists area in the old quarter. Also the room is big and has good windows and a comfortable bed. There are free drinking water.

I stayed in this apartment twice during my short trip in North Vietnam. The first stay was perfect. The second stay was worse than the first; drain in a shower room seemed to be clogged and water overflown from the room, and I had to wipe out water.

Room could have been a bit cleaner, some facilities were a little dated eg the fridge was very loud and right next to the bed so I just left it unplugged. Water cooler in the lobby did not work to refill my water bottle but staff kindly shared some of their drinking water with me.

Loved the location, right by the lake which is gorgeous. Very close to the old quarter, beer corner and ho chi minh’s mausoleum all within walking distance but it’s quiet enough there that you can still rest well. The staff were so kind and helpful. I had an evening flight on the day I checked out and they looked after my bag so I could do one last day of exploring around town! There’s loads of shops nearby including a 24 hour minimart opposite and some great restaurants and bars too. The shower was fantastic and the air con and wifi were also great.

The property is more run down than on the photos. Actually the photos on booking.com are of the more expensive apartment. It was not very clean, the cupboards were smelly, the cutlery wasn't washed well, the towels and bed linen had stains etc. The windows of the flat were facing the opposite building, which was just about 3 meters away, i.e. people from the building across can see the room if you don't close the curtains. The room was not rectangular if that matters to some people.

The location was good, about 25 min from city center by foot, but that's still close and away from the crowds. A lot of restaurants nearby. The aircon and wi-fi worked well. Overall okay value for money, but I wouldn't have picked this place if I have seen the real pictures. The apartment doesn't have a washing machine, but there's a laundry service nearby.

The sofa was not comfortable and towels too thin. The kitchen was not very clean; no tea towels for drying dishes; cleaning items old and dirty.

Very fast communications and responses to requests from the property managers. Spacious apartment with beautiful natural light. Really comfortable beds and bedding. Excellent soundproofing and easy windows to open for fresh air. Rooftop views were particularly lovely.

Room was smelly and wasnt cleaned very well. Underside of toilet seat was disgusting. We were given some dirty towel which wasnt washed good. Overall room looked much more older, used and weathered by time than compared to photos. I was always anxious when we were coming late at night as they close the door so hotel is not accessible for outsiders. But, everytime they opened for us (had phone number sticked on the outside wall if needed). Lighting was very bright and cold white. It wasnt nice for evenings. There wasnt any bed lamp.

Personal was very friendly even thought they didnt speak english. They were using translator instead. Price was nice and they were selling cheap water.

Little too basic for my taste. Clearly previous guest was smoking in the room and the smell lingered. Not the hotels fault but unpleasant. If I were staying more than one night I would have ask for a room change.

Okay place, reminds me of student accommodation. Excellent for the money. Good if you are staying a few days to make use of the fridge and kitchen. Great value if you are on a budget it has everything you might need.

Firstly, the building can be hard to find. A few locals seem to have trouble finding it — grab driver and tour guide included. Secondly, the limescale build-up of the kettle is really quite bad. I couldn't remove everything even after boiling with vinegar. I believe it's not fully their fault, it's just a matter of how the water in Hanoi (Truc Bach) is.

A lot of food options that open early, and close late. All right beside the building. There aren't a lot of tourists like us, so it's nice to see which places the locals hang out at. The room is huge as well, with all necessities provided — fridge, microwave, soap, shampoo, and even cooking utensils. Water is relatively safe to drink, though kettle has too much limescale built up. Glad that they offer free filtered water in the lobby, which I used every morning on my way out. The two caretakers speak a bit of english. They are extremely friendly and helpful to make up for any language barriers. The uncle offered to call my driver on his phone when he saw me waiting for a long time. Thank you! The building is old, but generally well-maintained. Might feel a little scary at first, but the room is bright and spacious. It's not a brand new IG-worthy airbnb, but that's not what we're paying for anyway.

Rooms are are a little stale in smell but after opening the window it soon clears out. Didn't bother me whatsoever.

Just a lovely stay! If you're looking for a location that's close to the Old Quarter yet quiet enough for an excellent nights slee, this is the place. The apartments are basic but very clean and comfortable. The owners of the property are extremely sweet and always welcomed me with a huge smile and a helping hand for my bags etc. beautiful coffee shops just next door overlooking the lake... priceless

The toilet was leaking but I didn’t mind as the staff were receptive to the comment and were thankful I let them know. Nothing else.

Location is great! Quiet at night and easy to get around but not in the hustle and bustle of the old quarter. Liked the facilities and the space of an apartment. The staff did not speak English but were very helpful by using google translate. Close to lots of great cafes, restaurants and street food.
