How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff wasn’t in particular friendly or helpful. The breakfast buffet was definitely enough but just not “our cup of tea”

Didn’t love the breakfast options. Not a hotel issue but a google maps issue - we couldn’t rely on google maps to find the hotel - got it wrong every time
The view was spectacular, the accommodation was very clean & comfortable, central location - within walking distance to the beach & sailing club & many restaurants in the vicinity to choose from

The water pressure 😂😂 It practically dripped, I don’t think you could even call it water *pressure* as there was no pressure! I read other reviews, it seems this is a problem throughout the entire building and not just our room. At least the water went warm.
Close the the beach and breakfast was abundant, although each day was pretty much the same food.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean. Cleaning staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. It was a great location for access to the beach, as well as so many nearby food choices.

Very good hotel and fine service. Perfect location. We booked a family suite with a sea view. Special thanks to Ms. Thanh Thin Le for exceptional attitude and willingness to assist. We all would be very glad to come back again.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Loved everything about this hotel however, unfortunately we found the staff (not all of them and I don’t want to name publicly) extremely rude and unhelpful. We are polite and reasonable people and didn’t think the staff were back which was a shame as the hotel is beautiful!

Best hotel ever, good location where is not so far from the beach, easy to get food, drinks and enjoy to see the local people's life. The facilities of hotel are just amazing, i stayed at 13a03 where i can see the sea view, wow amazing

The elevator closes so quickly. It's not safe for kids... Also, the bathroom is flooding after taking a bath so it's somehow slippery... The breakfast was okay, but there weren't many options...
I love the location, room and service... the Staffs were approachable... Very cozy place, and affordable price

Coffee below par. Didn't realise room slippers had been used outdoor and not cleaned, making room floor sandy with dirts. Shower water drains out to drainage below wash basin rather than shower cabin itself, making dry area wet.
Strategic location - very close to beach, many shops and eateries around. Clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast buffet with good variety given the price range.

Exceptionally good value, the hotel is located in a great location. I had a Seaview room which had a fantastic view. Very happy with my stay.

First 2 nights I had a room with a toilet that kept leaking water to the floor. Then they moved me to another room. All went well after that.

First, Apus hotel is great, we will definately come back, BUT the coffee is terrible, ie. lukewarm black water, no taste, how is it possible? We have experience before at am other hotel: the "coffee" is made of coffee extract, stored in the refrigirstor, taken out deluten in hot? water, becomes lukevarm, and served! Vietnam is the second biggest producer of coffee in the world, but the coffee at Apus is really bad, every day not warm even when I pre warm the cup! Told waiters, but no. Taste is very weak, color black but no taste, too bad. Please make good strong, hot coffee! Attention! hotel manager! See earlier contact with Apus team, sorry to say, but the coffee is still terrible, lukewarm, how difficult is it to heat the coffee?! In my review the coffee will get zero stars, may be * to be polite. Apus hotel is great but coffee terrible! Don't you make coffee in machine or only cold coffee consentrate mixer with water? As they do on Aron hotel? I want a reply from management, thank you, room 1105. I am sorry to registre that the management haven't time to answer me and tell me why it is so difficult to get hot and tasteful Vietnamese coffee, not black tasteless water. Sorry because the rest of the hotel, staff, room, laundry, all is excellent. Beside the so called "coffee" lot of hot meals, but bread not good, only white.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in 63 countries! Beautiful sea view from my room, deep bathtub, comfortable bed, ENGLISH movie channels, a rooftop pool AND a huge buffet breakfast included for an unbelievably LOW price. Great location, sweet staff and a few great restaurants close by. I booked 3 nights and extended my stay 3 more nights. Loved it here.

It's noisy from other rooms. Also, music from beach party till midnight.
The room has a great view to the sea. Breakfast was very good with various choices.

Laundry was expensive but we didn’t need it.
Loved everything. Beautiful clean hotel with a great buffet breakfast. Everything was clean and modern. Staff were great very helpful. The room was very comfortable with a very nice soft king bed. Rain Shower was fantastic with lots hot water and great pressure.
