The Blue Lagoon offers great value in a beautiful location with friendly people. The tiny house was perfect for my week-long stay!

The rooms are basic but for the price and the scenery, it is well worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Lagoon. The staff were so lovely and helped us with whatever we needed. The breakfast was very good and it was so nice to have espresso coffee! Gừng and his tennis balls were our favourite part of our stay, he is such a sweet dog!

This has been our favourite Homestay during our travels. Very cute + quiet rooms in the middle of nature. We had the option to hire scooters from the homestay which was ideal to get around being a little walk from town. They could not have been anymore welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Of course, there will be bugs/mosquitos, so bring bite cream. And be prepared for nature /animal sounds at night (bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper), or just enjoy it!

Stunning settings, absolutely beautiful. Sounds of nature very peaceful and calming. The dog was adorable, so friendly to play with. The room was lovely, bigger than expected. Great ginger tea and coffee. Friendly staff, stored our rucksacks for us when we arrived early and also on the last day after check out. Immediately fixed any issues we had.

I loved that they took the time to explain the area to me and even gave potential itineraries based on the time we had available. We rented the motorbikes and took a bike ride around the island to visit the caves which was amazing. So fun!

Looks exactly like in the pictures. Very friendly and caring hosts, good breakfast. A very relaxing place to start exploring Cat Ba. You can rent a motorbike hosts can organise taxi and bus for you. Also very cute Dog!

It would have been nice to have coffee in the room and you have to travel to get food.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. We needed a peaceful place for a couple of days on a busy trip, and this was perfect. Highly recommend this place, would definitely stay again if in the area.

The interior and exterior design as well as the location of the hotel. The staff was so friendly and inviting and they went above and beyond to take care of us. Especially Hoam. Pardon my spelling. The best place to relax.

The staff at Blue Lagoon were incredibly kind and accommodating and really the highlight of our stay. The little coffee shop/ breakfast area has a wonderful chill vibe not to mention delicious banana crepes and fantastic coffee. While it is a long (ish) walk to the main area of town, We rented scooters for a day and were able to explore the island and easily get around. We had a great stay and would recommend this property!

Nothing not to like except that slight toilet odour

Lovely accommodation near a small lagoon on the edge of Cat Ba town. We enjoyed the modern wodern style, the only slight downside being the toilet, which carried a mouldy smell, but nothing too bothering. We had a 30 minute stroll into town in the evening and got a taxi back very easily

Everything! The accommodation was so cute and really good value for money! Everything was spotless, there’s a good amount of privacy, it was just beautifully decorated. The restaurant area was also lovely. I felt very calm being there. The staff were also very friendly and helped me with booking taxis. It’s located 30 mins walk from the centre which I did most of the time but you can also get a taxi or scooter. For me this location was great because it was peaceful and you get to see more local life. The dog and cats made blue lagoon even better! I would come back to Cat Ba just to stay here again!

All very good, only the breakfast choices could maybe be improved a bit with more fresh local options besides pancakes, toast and instant noodles.

Very peaceful area by a lake. Staff were extremely kind, helpful and overall fantastic. I definitely recommend staying here for such an amazing experience. Loved every single peace during this stay. They got a very friendly golden retriever who loves playing and brings you a ball to play with him.

Wonderful cabin overlooking the lagoon with a very comfy bed Best coffee I’ve had in Vietnam (freshly ground to order!) The banana pancakes for breakfast were amazing We had such a wonderful stay, thank you 💖

The shower/whole bathroom stays wet for a very long time. Also, the wood does not some replacement. The amazing garden gives a nice touch, but the front part of the small cabins do need a replacement instead of adding extra wood to cover holes.

Lovely spot just outside the city center. Take a motorbike and explore the island. Roads are good!

The place was beautiful with flowers and plants everywhere. Felt like a little oasis. The coffee shop/ reception always played soft chill music adding to the calming atmosphere. The owner/ people working there were also so welcoming and kind not to forget Ginger the friendly dog plus many kittens! This was one of our favourite stays in Vietnam thank you so much

The breakfast could have been a bit bigger, and, while we support sustainability, we didn't feel comfortable drinking the water provided in our room, as we weren't sure it was sufficiently filtered for our American stomachs (not bottled). Also, the bathroom shower was draining a bit slowly. No deal breakers, just some room for improvement! We loved the A-frame cottage though, and the garden was very peaceful.

The coffee and drinks available at the bar were exceptional, and the fact that Blue Lagoon Cat Ba was tucked away from the bustle of the main road/downtown area was nice. Also Gu/Ginger the dog was wonderful! Overall a cute place and positive experience. The staff helped us book a transfer back to Hanoi as well!
