Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaWalls are a bit thin in room so we could hear people talking & the tv. Not a big deal but soundproofing in rooms is mentioned on website.
We spent 4 nights at Cherish Hotel. It is conveniently located close to shops & restaurants. Our balcony room was comfortable with just enough amenities, although an extra soap & body wash wouldn’t break the bank. It was quiet because it faced a side street which was nice. The stars of the show are the breakfast & staff. It was the most extensive breakfast buffet we’ve encountered. The selection of fruit was incredible, all the standard western breakfast items, eggs made to order, cereals & Vietnamese specialties. Mr. Larry & staff work very hard to replenish items, top up coffee & ensure guests are well taken care of. They do an amazing job. We would return to Cherish Hotel for the breakfast, it is that good!

CanadaRoom had a musty smell, once the air conditioning ran for a bit it helped tho. Bed was firm, I prefer a soft bed. Closet doors were stuck, made it difficult to utilize the safe and closet area. Know that to access the shower it's a big step up and down into and out of the tub, no problem for me, but might be for others.
Staff was wonderful, location was excellent, breakfast was extremely good, gym was fabulous and had great variety of machines. Excellent value for the price paid.

CanadaTo be fair, the covid pandemic was very difficult for the hotel industry worldwide. We had stayed at this hotel three years previously and just loved every aspect of it so that is why we chose this hotel again. This time many of the previous excellent staff had found jobs elsewhere; the current staff tried very hard to make our stay enjoyable though. However, the lovely lady who worked at the buffet breakfast (and who also spoke some English) recognized me right away and came up to greet me-wonderful to see her again! The buffet breakfast was cut back considerably although it was still good. We really weren’t too impressed with the dining room on our first trip so we returned to Cozy Restaurant (great food!) only about a 5-6 minute walk away which was very well priced and that we’d highly recommend. This hotel books bus tour groups but unfortunately, two of these people were booked in the room beside us; in the end the hotel manager was gracious enough to move us to a quieter location which was wonderful. The hotel didn’t know they would make such a noise in the first place so I do not place any blame on them but was thankful they took action on our behalf. In summary, with returning tourism I think this hotel will become improved overall as well.
Great location and away from the noisy bars and clubs; also very close to the indoor mall for inclement weather and within walking distance to the Perfume River and Dong Ba market. The beds were comfortable (we had twins) and the curtains were good for blocking light. The shower and bathtub (it’s an older hotel which we love and quite cozy) were great with plenty of hot water. The bathroom even had a disposable razor with shaving cream and a toothbrush with toothpaste. The price included a good buffet breakfast on the 10th floor with great views of the surrounding city. The front desk spoke decent English.

AustraliaWe only stayed for one night but the location was perfect for what we wanted to do and see. Plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance and not too far to walk to The Citadel/Forbidden City. Staff were friendly and helpful recommending places to see and eat. Also a wide range of choice for the breakfast buffet.

United KingdomSome reviews suggested that this hotel was dominated by tour groups but this was not the case when I stayed. There was a small group from Thailand but they were not intrusive.
The Cherish was a good choice for me as it is well positioned near to many spas, restaurants and shops. The hotel has an outstanding breakfast buffet in the top floor restaurant served by a very helpful staff. The reception staff were very helpful in finding English speaking drivers to take me to the DMZ and back to the airport in Danang via the Hai Van Pass. The room was fine and had all that I needed.
