The excursion descriptions didn't include details such as weight requirements for the zipline or that no shorts/shirts/shoes are allowed in the mud cave.

Really enjoyed our stay at Carambola Bungalows - the view along the river is fantastic, the staff friendly and helpful, rooms comfortable. Impressive AC - so much so, we woke up cold! Breakfast each morning as well as dinner was delicious! We booked the "Paradise, Dark Cave and Botanic Garden" excursion through their site and this was one of the highlights of the trip! Credit card is accepted with 3% fee.

Amazing location and very comfortable rooms. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. Ha, the owner, organised tours and also pick up and drop offs! Highly recommend this for a nice quiet stay!

Carambola Bungalow is located right in the edge of the water front, with great view. I had a peaceful stay here. The room was nice and the staff were kind enough to help me arrange last minute tour for me. Breakfast is good and there are many places to eat nearby.

Everything! Idyllic position right by the river just outside town (no road or cars separating the property from the riverside). Nothing too much trouble and Ngo and Ha were unobtrusive but very gracious hosts. Free bikes, food was fantastic and catered for both Vietnamese and Western tastes. We booked a family room for two of us and had amazing river views. Modern and very clean room with spectacularly fast WiFi considering where we were. Wanted to stay here forever. 20 day old pups were an added bonus 🤗 !

Location was a smidge further than expected, which made commuting back to the hotel in the evening a bit challenging - we didn't have bikes at the time and had to find taxi

Right on the riverside, the bungalows were pretty 🤩 the rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Free bicycles and kayaks to use. Welcoming iced drinks each time we came back to the property after a hectic trek 😀😀 Ha was very helpful and quick to communicate on everything from pickup, to arranging trips and buses. A few restaurants were walkable from the property but the Main Street is accessible by bicycles. We had a lovely stay and wish we had stayed a day more to explore

Nothing much, upgrading the bathrooms would be a good idea to invest in the future.

The location was lovely, not too close to the main road but everything was a walk or short cycle away. I loved being on the river. The scenery was beautiful. The staff were very helpful no matter what the time. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The breakfast included was awesome!

Need a bike to go to town because it's 2 km away, but they don't have babyseats. So hard to get somewhere with small kids. Transfers to caves and airport where a bit expensive.

River views are amazing, nice to have a little garden and terrace for the kids to run around a bit. Food is ok, breakfast would be nice to have a smoothie or juice instead of only coffee/thee/lemonade included . But overall, great value for money

Super helpful and friendly hosts... helped arrange transport in/out of phong nha, booked tour and outer local transport, happily let me stay late until night bus... lovely riverside location (though further from centre than other possibilities). Cute and comfortable bungalows. Great vfm with breakfast included, and inexpensive menu for our food and drinks. Sorry to be going!

Our host was exceptionally helpful. Collecting us from the airport where he had to wait several hours when our flight was delayed. The family organised lovely food for us and did our laundry He gave us lots of information about the local area and organised an additional night for us at his cousins homestay when we decided to spend more time in the area. The bungalows are right on the riverside just as we expected affording a lovely view both day and night

Everything was amazing. The staff , the food , the bungalow , the view over the river Han , everything. Mr. Ha made our staying here to be one of the best in Vietnam. Two days are not enough to feel Phong Nha with all that can offer. If it will be the second visit there , our staying will be at Carambola Bungalow. No doubts. A very very good value for money.

Fantastic position right on the river. Had breakfast each morning looking at the view! The owner, Ha, is a lovely guy and both him and his wife were really helpful. He organised a pick up from Dong Hoi, scooter hire and gave advice on the best routes.

Ha and his family were wonderful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was excellent, view great and the food was a fusion of Viet & western tastes. Serving were large.

The owner, Ha, and his staff were most gracious hosts. They will greet you with the biggest smiles any time of day. They can arrange many activities for you, like kayaking in Phing Nha cave. They can also arrange scooter rentals, which is very convenient. The view of the Son River is beautiful, especially at sunset. The rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The rates are very reasonable.

The bathroom had some drainage problems.

Amazing river view with no obstruction ahead. The receptionist was very kind and patiently helped us arranging transport for paradise cave and for dong Hoi. The breakfast was also simple and tasty.

Beautiful location and views, though a little further from the town hub in Phong Nha (that was a benefit for us). Staff are wonderful, good food, plenty to see and do and all easily accessed from here. The rooms and beds feel basic, but for this price it's still amazing value for money.

Ha and his staff took great care of us and were so warm and friendly during out four-day stay. They went above and beyond every time we had a request…laundry, transportation, and food requests to name a few. If we come back to Phong Nha, which we hope we can do, e wood stay with Ha again. Thank you, friends!
