Absolutely super friendly staff! We were warmly welcomed, all our questions were answered, and we were helped with a lot of things (and more!). The location is perfect near the beach and close to Cat Ba town. Perfect stay!

We really enjoyed our 5 nights in Cat ba, we wanted to stay longer, but unfortunately had to leave. We really enjoyed the Homestay and the host, Linh. Linh is super helpful with any questions or plans. It’s situated outside the main town a ways, which we enjoy. If you can ride a motorbike it is perfect. There are a couple good restaurants and bars in that neighborhood as well. We also loved the view of the water buffalo outside our window. :)

A/C unit wasn’t working so it made for a pretty hot/sticky night

The host was wonderful, very nice and attentive. They have everything you need there- food, laundry, drinks/water. The pool was nice too. We enjoyed the location as well, short bus to the city- a restaurant/bar across the street with a pool table. I think it’s great value for the money you spend.

Linh made the entire stay very comfortable. The room was clean, the breakfast was delicious and Linh and her family were extremely helpful. She rented motor bikes to us and we were able to explore the city! The location is ~15 min motorbike from cat ba city but there is lots to do near the accommodation. Linh also helped us find an earlier bus when we needed to depart earlier and most companies were sold out!

Our stay at the Rustic Homestay was great, the owners are very lovely people, very friendly and helpful! They have rented us the scooters, we have ate tasty breakfast and lunches there and enjoyed out time. Definately recommend! Its a quiet nice place :)

What a gem of a find it's a little way out of the Cat Ba centre (3.5k) so you can hire a scooter from the property if you want to get around. I was made to feel welcome from the very early (7.30am) check in to the moment I left. Beautiful Family and dog (2 adorable children) Clean and comfortable rooms Great food and cold beer. Swimming pool. Laundry Onwards travel tickets So glad I found this place, you will not be disappointed. 10 out of 10 from me

During our visit there was a karaoke event and next day a funeral. This meant loud music in the evening and a 6am on funeral day again. The owner can't do anything about that though. Other than that it was a wonderful time

The owner is very very friendly and a delight to talk to. She provides you with good advice, and her relaxed attitude helps you relax as well. The rooms are good, and the food is also good. You really feel part of the family, which is great!

Facility is near the road, which is a good thing and a bad thing

Linh is amazing, really kind person and helpfull we stayed for 3 nights and it was the best place we slept in after 2 weeks in vietnam. We had fun with the whole family and the dog. Facility is really clean and peaceful, we ate good. There is a beach nearby but it's trashy, we took the bus to go down town it's cheap and a great way to navigate cat ba. Linh also as a good level of English which is always a good thing.

The stay was so lovely and nice! You have your own room but still think you are a part of the family! If you’re looking for good food, nice people, sweet dogs and awesome cute kids, that’s the right place to be. So nice and kind! They even offer you booking tours and bus trips. I’ve booked the bus trip with speed boat and taxi to the Hanoi airport. It was cheap and really good organised. I loved to stay there. Everything was so nice and clean and the mattress and bed gave me a blessed sleep! If I could I would rate 11/10!

Only thing to know is the proximity to the main road although it gets much more quiet at night. Also you will need to drive a scooter to go in town, which you can hire very easily from the homestay.

Nice and cosy place with clean rooms, nice pool, and food area. Good choice of food and drinks. And of course, amazing welcome from Linh, a good help with great English skills and also very friendly and fun. Her two boys shared toys with our daughter who felt at home immediately.

This is such a pretty property and a great value! It was perfect for what we wanted. Linh and her family were so kind, and Linh booked our bay cruise and bus back to Hanoi. Breakfast and dinner were homemade and delicious and we really enjoyed spending some time with our hosts!

This is a lovely and relaxed place to stay. Linh and her family will make you feel right at home. The room is spacious and modern with a super comfortable bed and duvet. The bathroom is modern and clean. It’s outside the main town, so nice and quiet, especially at night (it’s close to the road), but there are still good restaurants close by, and Linh and her family also offer great food. I will miss hanging out with the family, and I’ll also miss the yummy pancakes for breakfast and the Vietnamese coffee!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This place has stolen our hearts. From the amazing breakfasts, coffees, lunch and dinners we had to the jacuzzi pool and the comfortable beds it was just beyond perfect. Everyone coming to Cat Ba should definitely stay here. They offer laundry service, scooter rental, tour bookings and so much more. Our hearts go out to little baby Bun, Tuan, Long, Manaah and of course Linh and her mother.
