The hotel was at the top of a hill so a bit of a hike when walking back, especially when the humidity is so high. There is a jareoke bar nearby I think. They just can’t sing in tune. Ouch. Roof top restaurant service extremely slow. Over 1hr. It was just after 6 but we had been travelling and we’re very hungry. The food was delicious when it arrived. The view and decor of the rooftop was excellent. They do have free fresh fruit and snacks. We probably ate too many of those while waiting.

Room was pretty much as photos. Bathroom large. Bed comfy. We were dropped off by the daichj transport at the wrong spring garden - the home stay. Linda at reception helped us get to our hotel. They are associated but 8km apart. The hotel is located in town not far from the centre. The home stay looks lovely with a clean pool and a billiard table. You would need mosquito repellant staying there as it is in a quiet and leafy area. Thank you Linda you were amazing as it was not your problem. Booked our day tour of the bay with her- it was terrific with such a good guide (Ryan) We had plenty of time on the water and it included pick up and drop off at the hotel. There was a good breakfast included. No mould smells at this hotel which had been reported as common problems in other hotels.

The location wasn’t amazing, there was a rather steep hill leading up to it (and with our big backpacks it felt like a mountain!). The nearest food places were about 15-20mins away which wasn’t too bad for myself, but my parter found it far too far away! It also isn’t too near anything else unless you rent a moped, which for us wasn’t amazing as despite the island having good roads for inexperienced drivers like ourselves, we still prefer to avoid getting on one when we can! Side note, I noticed some very old 10/10 reviews after we had booked which predate before they said the hotel had even opened. I definitely think there are some fake reviews to bump up the overall rating, but there is no need for these as the hotel itself is a great and safe experience for anyone :)

The staff were amazingly helpful, and the room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels, water and extra bog roll provided! The bed was also really comfy and they offered many reasonably priced tours and moped rental service at the reception. The breakfast included was yummy, it was a mix between buffet or choosing from a menu depending on the day (the menu breakfast was our favourite!)

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location made it easy to explore local restaurants and cafes. However, the true highlight of my experience was the exceptional service provided by Ms. Linh at the reception. She truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. From arranging fantastic tours, including a full day boat excursion and a full day hiking adventure, to organizing my bus trip back to Hanoi and onward to Sapa, she demonstrated unparalleled dedication to guest satisfaction. Ms. Linh's communication via WhatsApp was prompt and thoughtful, and she consistently checked in to ensure everything was going smoothly during my stay. Her kindness and willingness to accommodate even unexpected changes, like securing an earlier bus for me upon my early arrival in Hanoi, truly made a difference. Ms. Linh's exceptional service undoubtedly deserves recognition, and I believe she deserves a raise for her outstanding contributions to the hotel. I also enjoyed spending time on the rooftop, where I could relax with a cocktail while taking in the beautiful views of the sea. It was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day of exploring.

It is on top of a hill which was ok for us to walk up but to get up the hill it’s quite busy with bikes and not much pavement space. There’s also a lady who lives near by who likes to ‘sing’ on a microphone, would have been ok if she was in tune but neither of these are any fault of the hotel and didn’t put us off staying there (we were there for a week).

Excellent value for money. Nice big room with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, buffet style with pancakes, fruit and yoghurt plus eggs, noodles and rice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and not pushy about yours. We booked the boat tour which was good value, the bus to Hanoi and scooter rental. They sent us a list of places to go on the scooter too. Nice terrace area at the top and behind the building which was nice to sit at, there’s makings of a restaurant up there but it’s not open yet.

Very kind and helpful staff. We also rented a scooter for a couple of hours. The location is great, 5mins walking distance from the centre and the street is quiet during the night. The room was clean, with towels, soap, slippers, toothbrush, air conditioner. The room was big, with two king beds as booked. Breakfast was really good... buffet with different options and fresh fruits too. Would definitely recommend it!

What I didnt like was a should have stayed longer

Upon confirmation of my reservation, I received messages that immediately made me feel like a valued friend. After a long drive, we arrived at reception after 9 p.m., but we were greeted as a friend would have, and I saw this firsthand. during my stay at the hotel, All guests are made to feel valued, from assisting with onward travel arrangements, bookings for local tours, and this is all done in a pleasant manner. and this is the same with every member of the hotels team.

There’s nothing I liked about the hotel, but I didn’t expect much in this price range. The facilities are not in good condition. Don’t expect to find someone at the reception when you arrive. The staff was friendly. They charge an extra 3 percent if you pay by credit card.
