• Laundry Service Issue: I used the laundry service, and unfortunately, they lost one of my pieces, a crop top. Despite this, they still made me pay the full price for the service. If it wasn’t for the is small incident I would have given a perfect 10 score

• Helpful Host: Jack, the host, is extremely helpful and offers a lot of tips around the island, including what to visit, how much things will cost, and the best views. He also arranges tours, although we didn’t take any. • Good Value for Price: The hotel was good for the price. It was cozy and we didn’t encounter any bugs, despite the warning at the front desk that bugs are common due to the tropical forest climate. • Breakfast Included: The breakfast was okay. While it didn’t have a lot of options, it was included in the price, so you get what you pay for. • English-Speaking Host: The host speaks English, which is a significant plus since it’s hard to find English speakers in Vietnam.

Nothing to dislike.

Great value hotel in Cat Ba town. Very easy check-in process and the room I had was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and hot shower! Breakfast of eggs or pancakes with fresh fruit and coffee. Jack and his team are extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations of places to go and see around the island. They also easily arranged a motorcycle, my laundry, bus to Nimh Binh and tour to Lan Ha And Halong Bay. Superb service!

Breakfast was not that good - should offer Vietnamese breakfast instead of Western breakfast

The room was very big and we had enough space for our belongings (desk, chairs, closet). Also the shower (glas wall) was separated from the toilet and the bath room was very clean. The stuff was super friendly and booked a day tour & our bus back to Hanoi for us to a super fair price (prices were more expensive on GetYOurGuide/GoAsia/Booking Agencies)!

Everyone was so helpful and extremely friendly. If we had, or if we needed recommendations, they were quick to help. The family-friendly atmosphere here is so sweet. The included breakfast is SO good. I highly recommend this spot.

It was perfect

Wonderful place to stay with a central location in Cat Ba. Located near all of the restaurants, spas and cafes but the hotel was quiet at night! The room was surprisingly spacious, with a bar fridge, seating area, clean bathroom and a super comfy bed. Our group had two rooms and both were perfect. The best part of the stay is the receptionist! He helped make all of our arrangements flawlessly. We had to get back to Hanoi but wanted to do a day cruise and he arranged for us to get brought back to the pier early to catch the last bus of the day. He organized all of our tickets before we arrived and we paid less for the tour than the other hotels charge in the area. He was so friendly and accommodating we can’t thank him enough- absolutely recommend this hotel for comfort and ease!

The receptionist that greeted me wasn't very professional - he was sleeping when I arrived. He tried to convince me by giving me a 'better' room (with a worse window view actually) as the room I booked wasn't prepared and once I still asked for it, it was available only after 3h. The bathroom had a unpleasant smell, thus, I had to make sure to always close its door.

All was good- very simple, but that was what I wanted. Had room at back of hotel, so facing cliff face, therefore very quiet. But the area generally was quiet- just a couple minutes walk along a lake from the noisier front of Catba.

My room was very cheap, so I didn’t really expect much. I was suprised, the room had a good standard, was nice and bright anf had a good shower. The staff was great. They took good care of me and were very helpful. I had many nice conversations with them during my five nights stay. Location was perfect, just a couple of minutes walk to the restaurant street. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Clean spacious room with a view on the lake. Very helpful staff and in quiet area but 5 minutes walking from centre. Nice restaurant is just a couple of meters away from hotel so you do not have to go far. A hidden gem is the small temple built against one of the rocks when you cross the bridge from town to hotel. Would stay here again.

It’s all exceptionally great value for money. It’s not five star luxury, but has everything I needed.

Very friendly host and quiet hotel. My light, bright and spacious room overlooked the lake and mountains, from a large wall to wall window. Two comfy arm chairs and a coffee table were great for relaxing. It’s a one minute walk to the town centre, fishing port and beautiful promenade. Restaurants and shops are right next door.The Goodmorning CaBa bus from Hanoi provides door to door service. We loved it so much we booked 2 extra nights, to stay for a full week.

We had a lovely stay here, the hotel manager was incredibly helpful, attentive and kind with us. Laundry service was good. The hotel room is very spacious and it has incredible view to the "lake". Very close where all the restaurants and nightlife is, but still far enough to no suffer its loudness. Anyhow, there were some typical karaoke street singers which made the afternoon's a bit more "entertaining".

English of the staff is not good at all. We could not really arrange anything because they simply didn't understand what we were saying. The rooms could use a bit of an update, but now I'm being really picky. Overall this was a nice hotel to stay in for a short stay.

The rooms are really spacious and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is really close to the main street. You can rent a motorbike for 150.000dong for a day. The staff is friendly and tries to help you in any way they can.
