How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is good because it's on a quiet street. The rooms are very nice, which I needed because it's rare to have a nice hotel in Vietnam. The staff were very pleasant.

Compared to the location, prices at hotel are extremely affordable. Walk 10 minutes to reach beach . The room is more spacious than I thought, clean and fully equipped. Hotel staff are enthusiastic and friendly. With such a good price and including breakfast , I will definitely come back if I have the chance.

I am very pleased to have chosen hotel . I stayed here for 3 days and found the hotel clean, good service, attentive staff. The hotel has breakfast with a variety of dishes. There are also provide services: tour, bus ticket, rent motorbike, laundry…

Nothing comes to my mind.
The stuff has been incredibly helpful and supportive in all regards: bike rental (delivered to the door), tour booking to the national park, money exchange, laundry. The hotel itself was kept clean and tidy, the room that we chose was small but had everything we needed, perhaps more towels would benefit, but nothing critical.

Fist time my family coming to Catba and stay at Catba Lucky Family hotel. The hotel is new, luxury and clean. Good location, i can walk around to the central. I book all service through hotel and was nice, good value for money. I really enjoyed the hotel and would recommend.

My family take family room with mountain view. The room so nice, so beautiful, all almost new and comfortable. The breakfast including is rich, many option taste. Staff is cheerful, friendly. Hotel also provide services bus tickets, tour Lan Ha bay or rent motorbike...

Compared to the location, prices at Catba Lucky Family hotel are extremely affordable. Walk 5 minutes to reach beach, night market, sea side, restaurants.... When laying in bed you can hear the wind and the rooms are a bit humid but apparently that’s a problem all hotels have

The hotel was exceptionally clean. AC cooled the suite fast even it was extremely hot outside. Staffs were quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast including and delicous.

I honestly can not think of any improvements for the property, I can’t comment on the food as I did not eat there.
The bed was very big and comfortable. The room had everything you needed including a separate on suite bathroom with a good working shower. The staff were very kind and helpful. The property also had its own laundry service which was helpful and I felt it was in a good location.

The bathroom facilities are old but overall it is nice and a good place to stay
Very close to centre (5 minute walk), staff were so friendly and helpful (thanks Eddie) with booking trips and transport. Clean.

The room was extremely cold, and the AC didn't work, so I had to change rooms. The AC was still not as good as expected, and I got so sick that I needed a week to get healthy again. Having an extra blanket in every room and an AC check would be a good idea. However, the staff was really friendly and even gave me medication for my throat.
The accommodation was good, and the staff was amazing. This is a cute hotel in a really good location. They made a special map for tourists, which is really thoughtful. There are a lot of beautiful places within walking distance.
