Just a minor improvement. Areation in bathroom is lacking a bit, so was a bit humid. For the room as well, no possibility to open the window. Would be helpful to have nets installed so you can open the door without having insects/mosquitoes. Just a personal preference to be able to change the air. Of course air conditioning is available and worked well. I would still recommend the property, great host and I would stay there again.

Location is good, easy to get around. We rented a scooter directly at the property. Linda is amazing, easy to communicate with and she can really help you out with anything you might need during your stay. Good selection of food as well and clean pool.

It's a bit far from town. 150k each way so pricey unless you rent a bike. Nice to be in a peaceful location though.

Isolated - recommend using a scooter (not a dislike, just an FYI for other travellers).

The Homestay was lovely, very clean, and the shower and hot water was amazing. Air conditioning was a heat in the humid heat. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating to our requests or needs. Felt super safe there, and just a short motorbike ride to town of Cat Ba. Also many cheap and yummy restaurants in walking distance right on the waters edge. Lovely area to socialise with friends or other guests, and the breakfasts were delicious. Its a bit far from town but we knew about it ahead. When trying bus, we had few fails but rented motorbike or took taxi. Pool looks better in photos than reality, small maintenance required

Beds are hard - doable and I didn't mind them but for some, it might be a game changer. Menu is nice but I found it a little Mosquitos were rampant each evening. Bring lots of bug spray.

Loved the pool, the peace and quiet, friendly staff. Linda is very helpful. It's a wonderful homestay overall. Hiring the scooters was great for ease of travel from this location and a great way to see the sights. Very happy with our stay.

Linda helped us with scooters, directions, boat cruise booking and even bus and car booking to our next destination. Absolutely amazing. We were very comfortable here, nice relaxing pool, great breakfast options and coffee. It’s a little out of the town so it’s quiet and peaceful. Loved our stay.

The place is beautiful and clean, staff is great, and the food in the restaurant is very good. There is all the facilities that u need for your travel, rent a bike, booking tours, booking ticket for bus and more. Pay attention, the place is about 15minutes with a bike from the center, u will have to rent a bike, or take taxi for this island activities.

If you're looking for a place to relax and have someone completely take care of you - this is it! Linda fed us, did our laundry, booked our cruise and all transportation, taught us how to drive a scooter and even delivered a wallet that was left behind. The homestay is very clean. The pool was a delight after a very hot day.

Loved the natural beautiful place, with nice garden and small houses. Good and warm hearted host! Linda helps organise everything you need from the moment you arrive. She made this stay much Better. The breakfast is great, comes with few options. The rooms are very beautiful decorated. The pool is a bonus because it's hot and you can chill. Maybe the only downside is the distance, but it's solvable by renting a scooter.

The local bus is not reliable. Be careful of a guard dog in the neighbourhood.

Great homestay 10 km away from the main city of Cat Ba. Linda and her family are really a very lovely family and we felt home and welcome the moment we arrived. The breakfast is typical Vietnamese, i.e. some fruits, rice, pancakes, white bread, juice, etc. Our bungalow was comfortable and clean and the pool and pool area is great and a perfect place for relaxing. We had three wonderful days in Cat Ba, also thanks to Linda and her family. Therefore, we would definitely stay at Cat Ba Spring Garden homestay, again.
