Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The location was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful with landmarks and where to go. The bag storage option is also a great offering as our flight was in the evening.

United Arab EmiratesI stayed 2 nights in a twin bed room with a friend. We have an amazing experience here and enjoyed superb hospitality from the manager (My), receptionist (Hanh) and the rest of the team too. Breakfast starts at 6.30am ,Good spread at the breakfast with a mix of local and international food. They have an alacarte menu too where you can order eggs or pho. . Hotel staff is always ready to help you move across street (very helpful, considering how busy this street can get in the morning).

The staff was amazing, tending to our every need from setting up airport transportation to making sure we had everything we needed in our room. We were SO happy we choose this perfect boutique hotel in the heart of Hanoi. We will be back!

DenmarkWe had a fantastic time at Hanoi Lheritage Hotel, it's a great place and a great location. The best thing was the kind and attentive staff who made our stay so memorable. They arranged private tour guides, offered us umbrellas when were caught out leaving to explore the Old Quarter and suggested excellent places to eat. The little details were very much appreciated. Thank you to the friendly team , we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Czech RepublicMy wife and I stayed here for the first stop on our honeymoon trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and they made our stay in Hanoi great. They recommended several restaurants and sites to see and provided a map. The bell boy also took me on his scooter to a nearby money exchange (1 min ride) where the rate was excellent. They also offered to walk me to a bank to do an exchange if I preferred. We stayed 1 night, went for an overnight cruise in Halong bay and came back for a second night stay. They offered to check our bags if we wanted and also upgraded our room when we came back. They also provided vouchers to several services to their spa at hotel.

United StatesI wasn’t intending on staying in Old Quarter as long as i did (was going to stay 2 nights, then do Ha Long Bay cruise & change to a totally different area for 3 nights. But i had travel snafu, arrived late night before cruise so decided to book for full trip to leave 1 suitcase & since i’d missed getting to explore Old Quarter. But 3 nights was a lot for me in that area (4 if I count short first night). It’s not any reflection on the hotel at all, but the honking is incessant starting at 5Am & until late night.) it really messed me up first morning, but by end it was almost white noise.
Nice small boutique feel but my suite was wonderfully big & nicely appointed

Czech RepublicThe Hanoi Lheritage Hotel was a great base as I explored Hanoi and the north of Vietnam. Conveniently located at the edge of the Old Quarter, I never had a problem being picked up by your buses or taxis. James at the front desk was incredibly helpful and always took good care of me. I had the chance to stay in both a superior room and a suite with balcony. The superior room was small and might be quite cramped for 2 people with large suitcases, but was perfect for just me. It faced the internal atrium and was well sheltered from the noisy city

AustraliaThe hotel is located near the edge of the old town, a bit away from the main tourist area. This was fine for us as we were happy to walk but something to consider if you want to stay more central to the tourist area. The breakfast was average and also requires you to walk up a set up stairs. Not a problem for us but again something that might affect others.
My mum and I stayed at this hotel during our time in Hanoi. We stayed in 2 different rooms which were both comfortable. Ms My was so helpful in changing our bookings when our flights were changed by the airline and also with booking our Halong Bay cruise. Would recommend this hotel!

United KingdomThe breakfast was a bit limited but good. The second time we stayed there, we went for a different type of room and we weren't very happy that the two windows were facing a wall sso there was no natural light.
The staff was very competent, nice and happy to help. We stayed at this hotel twice and they kept our luggage in between without any problem, they also assisted me with the reservation that had the wrong dates and suggested places to visit or where to find certain services. The first room was great, top floor, jacuzzi bathtub, balcony with a view. The position was also great!
