We are so happy we found Lan and her accommodation and we hope to stay there again in the future!! Her accommodation is gorgeous - the definition of a secret garden tucked in the old quarter of Hanoi. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The decorations of her accommodation are like visiting an art gallery, filled with Lan's husbands paintings and Lan's pottery work. Lan and her staff were so kind and accommodating when we arrived, and she took her time to explain the highlights of Hanoi to us with a map. Aside from this, I fell very ill during my visit to Hanoi, and Lan and Tyui were extremely caring for me while I got better by bringing me medicine and making me home cooked soup and porridge. I am so grateful!! We would definitely recommend this accommodation!

Well located for sightseeing (close to train street) and the room was really big. Breakfast was wonderful - really enjoyed the pho! Staff were lovely and helpful. Was above a restaurant but wouldn’t have noticed once in the room and this wasn’t an issue at all. Worth being aware it’s on a busy road (earplugs were helpfully provided for light sleepers) but that comes with being centrally located in Hanoi!

It’s a slightly busy street. We were fine with it but it might not be to everyone’s liking.

The place is really comfortable, large room with kitchen, very quiet room, easy to sleep in. The host was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation from the airport and to our next destination in Vietnam. She gave us great recommendations on Hanoi city and the location is excellent to walk to the main city attractions. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Very cozy stay, would highly recommend.

The stairs going to the rooms. For the elderly and those with mobility issues, going up the stairs could be a problem

Location - walking distance to the train street and there are rows of restos and coffee shops behind the house. It is also just 3 blocks away to the cathedral and few blocks within the shopping street. Very convenient location whether you're a first time traveler to Hanoi or an old time visitor. The house itself - it's like staying at a relatives house, very homey and comfortable but with the facilities of a hotel. LAN is very helpful and accommodating host. She arranged our transpo without additional charge, kept our luggage for free when we went to Sapa and upgraded our room accommodation when we came back.

The bed was not quite as comfortable as we would have wished. The bathroom was below average, as it looked and felt very old and neglected and it seemed like it had been put together by the neighbourhood handyman at a bargain price. Nevertheless everything worked out just fine, as we only stayed there for one night. For the price we paid it was okay. The temperature in the room was quite hot overnight as the fan provided was inadequate.

Breakfast was good and fresh and prepared on the spot by the lovely staff. The room was big enough and so was the bed. The staff were extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and called a taxi for us twice when we needed one and made sure it actually arrived. Safety was not an issue as the property seemed to be well protected and we never felt threatened. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival at the hotel when the staff rushed out to our taxi to welcome us and carried our luggage up the stairs to the second floor. They also carried it downstairs when we left the next day. They made sure our stay was really good and we feel glad they did.

We arranged a taxi pickup at the airport with our host but the taxi wasn't there. We had to contact the host again before the taxi came. The pictures look very clean and tidy (the rooms are very tidy), but the living room is much more full and messy than on the pictures. We had quite some noise from the street in our room but there are earplugs available.

The location is perfect to explore the city. The local breakfast is very nice and the host is very helpful. Room is clean and spacious.

We really enjoyed our stay. The entrance is through the Dim Sum restaurant. The staff were great and helped bring our luggage up the stairs (no elevator). Breakfast was delicious ramen soup, Vietnamese coffee, and fruit. We could store our luggage after checkout. Lovely balcony with a garden that was pleasant to sit in and watch the busy city traffic and people go by. Washer and dryer on site was very handy! The staff were great and automatically dried our clothing and placed in baskets so it was easy to pick-up without having to return constantly and keep an eye on the machines. AC works great.

The room we booked with two beds was located at the very top of the building and had a loft for one of the beds. It was a very small and hot room. The other room we rented was extremely large, and airy.

Very unique property with eclectic art all over. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was enjoyable.
