Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere is only one small thing we wished for - fresh milk rather than UHT. Not a big deal but much nicer on cereals!
My family and I stayed here for only one night but we wished we had booked for a week. The rooms were beautifully decorated, beds were extremely comfortable and everything in the bathrooms worked well. Wifi was good as was the air conditioning. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff were all pleasant and helpful. Position of the hotel was great for us being so near the river, dragon bridge and Cham museum. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby too.

AustraliaSeriously, nothing.
Our first stay was shortened because a flight was cancelled and we had to go back to Ho Chi Minh. I had booked hotel transport from the airport and the hotel was very quick to reorganise that and to continually keep me informed. We then stayed two nights in a Superior Double room which was far superior to many other so described rooms in other hotels. It was especially spacious, had a couch in front of the TV, a generous top/table for the laptop and other items. The bathroom was also spacious, equipped with everything as per booking, had a bath tub and a separate shower. Floors were attractive and very clean. We liked the balcony from where we could see the tail end of the dragon bridge. The rooftop pool isn't long enough to do serious laps but was great for a relaxing dip. We had drinks and food from the menu on two nights and had a great time relaxing up there. When we were not comfortable in Hoi An, we had no hesitation in returning to Cozy Danang. The staff deserve high accolades. Their service, friendliness and professionalism were factors in our decision to return. We will be back.

Staff were really helpful. My son lost his ticket to fly back to Saigon and they rang the Vietnam Airlines office to help us and sort out what we needed to do. Definitely above and beyond standard good service.

United KingdomI wanted to eat at the restaurant the second night but it did not appear to be open. I think you may have to order in advance but this was not clear to me. (The first night there were other people dining in the restaurant but the second night it was deserted.)
Fabulous, large, clean room. Very good buffet breakfast. Convenient location for Museum of Cham Sculpture and Dragon bridge. Easy to get Grab taxis to other locations around Da Nang. I ate at the restaurant the first night and it was good. Cleaning staff knocked at the door at about 9:30 am while I was still in the room on the first day, so the second day I used the Do Not Disturb sign until I left for the day.

Excellent boutique style hotel. Really enjoyed my stay here and got a room upgrade with a river side view. Really great view of the city and dragon bridge. The reception staff are superb. Flawless English. And very helpful male porters. Has a good rooftop pool and a nice restaurant. Lovely spacious and lightly designed room. Excellent bathroom layout with a shower and a bath. CanadaThe Cozy Danang Boutique Hotel was lovely. The room was very large and exceptionally clean. We loved the location as it was within blocks of the river and allowed us to enjoy the riverside adorned for Tet. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in assisting us with a restaurant recommendation outside of the hotel and transportation to Marble Mountain and on to Hoi An.

AustraliaJust small things. It was our first day in Vietnam so some tips or recommendations would have been great, but not necessary. Some more options in the mini bar, like chocolate or chips. There wasn't much for vegetarians on the restaurant menu.
Great breakfast, room service and wifi 👍 Very clean with really lovely staff, one man even saw me booking a Grab and clicked on an option to claim a discount for me. The complimentary drinks and afternoon tea were a really nice touch. The fish and chips were delicious.

SingaporeAlthough I did not watch tv during our stay, I could not access to tv programmes as could not switch the language to English.
Staff were very helpful and friendly especially Ms Liz and Ms Hari. Ms Liz helped to arrange the tours and airport transfer efficiently. Breakfast was good with wide variety. Room was clean and well appointed. I was given two complimentary vouchers; one for high tea and the other for drinks. I used only the high tea voucher. High tea was served on the swimming pool floor on the 9th floor which has a breathtaking view of the dragon bridge. Wi-fi was good.
