I thouroughly enjoyed my stay, my only dislike was not having time to interact with the owners. Also, the bed was firm as in usual eastern cultures which I love, but some westerners might not share the same view, the room is typical bedroom size, so those traveling with a lot of luggage might feel cramped, solo travelers with little luggage will feel at home.

A beautiful clean home that was quiet and peaceful. The owners were real nice upon check in but I didn't see them afterwards, which I liked, lots of privacy, walking distance to a lot of sites like the Ho Chi Mihn Musem, Mausoleum and more. You will understand why it's called Da Tree House if you stay.

It’s not in the old quarter, near the night markets but easy enough to get a taxi!

Very comfy and homey feel. The owners were lovely and accommodating. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom was in a separate room on the balcony but no issues with that! Close to bakery’s, botanical gardens and ho chi min museum.

The location is slightly far from the Old Quarter, which didn't bother us at all but may be something to consider for others.

We liked having an air conditioned and cosy room in central Hanoi. The bed was comfortable and the room had tea making facilities and bottled water provided each day. The ensuite bathroom was great. The owner was very friendly, and even allowed us to check in during the small hours of the morning.

it can be a little far away from the old quarter but you can walk!! or grab a taxi really cheap

the owner it’s SO NICE!!! he did so much for us and i will be forever grateful, we made a mistake while booking and he helped us in order to stay and extra night and he helped us move our stuff from one room to another! also he waited for us when we had to make a really late check in (we ended up saying like 4 nights) everything is clean plus the room has coffe and tea and everything you need thank you for everything!!

Everything was perfect, very sweet and discreet owners, the room beautiful, clean, spacious and with every comfort, free coffee, tea and water, impeccable bathroom. Long story short for the quality of this accomodation the price is very low compared to the others in Hanoi. Really recommended!

The bed is really hard, a thin mattress. I slept well because I prefer hard than soft bed. But keep this in mind.

We were here just for 12 hours to sleep and continue our trip. The room has everything you need. The host was very kind and helpful.

After some bad experiences hotelwise in Hanoi this place was like a comfortable haven. It's clean, the owners are nice, blankets and towels are soft and they have a piano. It's just like the photos. Water is hot and flowing well. I had a reading lamp, wich.i appreciated. Also the air is slightly less polluted in the area.

The floor wasn't cleaned properly. It was mopped but probably with a mop full of hair. Everything else - the bathroom, bedlinen etc was super clean though :)

Had booked here 2 nights, but ended up extending for another night. The staff was lovely, very kind and always responsive on messages via booking. They kept asking if I needed anything else :) They also allowed laundry for free. And even gifted me a small souvenir at the end. The room was nice, had a kettle and tea/coffee/water was provided. The bed mattress was probably harder than average, but guess some people might prefer that. Wifi was good, about 50 mbps upload and download, in case someone needs to work like me :D The location was good, way less crowded and noisy than old quarter, yet at a walking distance to many attractions around.

Super comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. The owner came to the main street to guide me to the homestay so I knew where I was going. I had to leave very early in the morning and he came down and unlocked the metal gate. Very friendly.

Location is a bit out of the way but was easy enough to get a taxi/grab into more central locations. The homestay is down an alley in the corner of the street and the signage for it isn't great so took us a while to find but eventually found it (da tree homestay sign is on the door only). Our room as on the first floor as you walk in the building with a privacy screen between the lobby area and our bathroom. This didn't end up being an issue but made it feel a bit less private. Could also hear motorbikes going down the alley however this may have just been as we were on the first floor so windows and doors were closer to the noise.

Host was friendly despite speaking very little English. We were able to leave our bags for free for a few hours after check out which was very helpful. Key fob to get in and out of the building.

Can hear outside noise from inside, down an alleyway so hard to find, and the water pressure could be stronger.

Very nice, clean room and 2 free bottles of water on arrival. The staff were friendly and patient and waited for us to check in quite late. Great place for a short stay.
