Everything was very expensive inside the hotel- £16 for buffet breaky, want you to pay to check in out early, and tax and service charge onto rooms and drinks and food. But the hotel is beautiful, staff were friendly - although I often got conflicting and confusing information about taxis, tours, prices etc

Hotel was designed by Bill Bensley, it's incredible beautiful and totally beyond our expectation. just like a fashion theme museum and palace. the breakfast is WOW! the swimming pool is WOW, the restaurant interior design is WOW. every detail is all perfect. this is the hotel that you must experience once of your lifetime.

Exceptional property. One of the most grand and beautiful hotels I’ve stayed in. Friendly accomodating staff. They allowed us to store our bags after checkout while we went on a hiking tour and then use their shower facilities for free before our onward trip.

The afternoon restaurant service was poor...I had to wave or call the waiters for service, despite there only being a few guests. Mr Ahn in reception was not very helpful when I asked for advice on day trips. It would be great if there could be a shop opposite the hotel selling locally made handmade goods.

One of the most beautifully decorated hotels in the world! I have been blessed to stay in over 500 hotels in nearly 100 countries, and this one was definitely worth the 5hr trip to Sapa from Hanoi. Ms Hayley in reception provided excellent service and was very helpful

The check-in experience was not good. We made a prepayment but didn't have that exact card with us when checking-in (as were travelling with travel cards / not credit cards). Management were inflexible to this policy & we weren't aware as would have otherwise used a different card on prepayment. Result was we had to pay again on a separate card - other card was refunded but payment won't arrive for 45-days! It's a painfully long time to be out of pocket $700+ & I would expect more support from a global international chain. Further, being a luxury hotel, the food, drink and other costs are v. high. My recommendation is to get out on the town & use local suppliers re: laundry, drinks etc - otherwise you're paying significantly more than the average local price.

Location is amazing - view is phenomenal over the valley. Amenities are great, hotel is so beautiful & the service is second to none. It's a beautiful hotel.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike

The hotel was stunningly beautiful. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed & pillows. The bathroom was large with enough counter space to hold our sundries. Nice hot shower with fluffy white towels & bathrobes. The breakfast was Amazing with lots of choices of both Asian & Western food. The indoor swimming pool was gorgeous with warm water & plenty of lounge chairs. We can’t say enough positive about the staff. Everyone we encountered was helpful & cheerful. We feel so honored to have had the opportunity to stay in this Beautiful Hotel de la Coupole-MGallery.

My breath was taken away...what an exceptional hotel. From the moment you enter the foyer you're embraced with the scent of cinnamon in the air and greeted with friendly staff who seat who invite you to sit in their foyer palour with a delectable hot chocolate. If you dream of 5 star, this is it. The archeture, hand painted wall decals, art work from a French inspired romantic colonialism will sweep you away to another place of pure luxury. There is no ugly here..from the lifts to the bathrooms you're incapulated into a dreamy world of velvet, mirrors and black mahogany framed windows. The pool has to be seen to be believed, like some Hollywood set from an Esther Williams aquamusical with red chandeliers, bronze inspired statues and marble. All the while your floating in a dreamy land theres the lilting sound of classical music lulling you away from the hectic outside world! I could say more and could write a book about this place!

The weather

I was very well when we checked in, they upgraded us and let us check in earlier than the normal 14h. Reception staff said if I needed anything ie doctor to not hesitate to ask.

Great location, immaculate service. Comfortable bed. The hotel massage is really good. Worth every penny. I had dinner at Chic Restaurant on my first night, only to realise that the breakfast is also held there. Breakfast is decent.

I like the way the hotel appearance & its decoration; the wonderful staffs, the convenience of its location, it’s convenient to everything including Fansipan. The breakfast was wonderful! Lots of variety to choose from. Ms. Lan noodles station was delicious & her food preparation was appeasing. She’s friendly & pleasant. Highly recommended Hotel De La Coupole!!

Strong scent in the lobby and dining hall.

Exceptional service. We arrived at 7 am, left our luggage in storage, and were given access to the shower in the gym. Later, the hotel staff sent a complimentary chocolate birthday cake to the room - someone actually read the passport details. They anticipated our needs. Umbrellas available at the lobby. When the bus pick-up was a bit late, Mr. Khuong contacted the bus company. Would recommend this hotel.
