Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaPillows were too soft. Food and extras a bit pricey, but you would expect that anyway.
The ambiance in the dining restaurant, Chic was awesome. The variety and taste of the breakfast offered wasn't the best i have seen but not bad. Coffee and hot choc were great. Quality of ingredients used in general was good. Staff was helpful and courteous. Stepping into this hotel, you would feel as though you're transported to somewhere else in this world. Deco of hotel is superb. We were there in Dec and the smell of gingerbread greeted us as we made way to Cafe Cacao, located towards the side wing of the lobby entrance. The view from the top terrace was amazing. If you intend to head to Fansipan, make sure to secure the tickets with the hotel at least a day before arrival. Hotel offers vip tickets at the same price as normal but you have to reserve it before arrival.

SingaporeThe hotel was incredibly nice. The location was very convenient, right next to Sun Plaza. There's a private entrance for hotel guests. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The swimming pool was gorgeous, the breakfast served was delicious. The gym was small but it had all the equipment needed for cardio and strength. Overall really enjoyed my stay!

The best hotel during our Vietnam trip! I decided to stay at Hotel de la Coupole MGallery due to the reviews. location and it was absolutely worth it. The hotel has a splendid reception area, the staff serving drinks upon our arrival and the room is spacious and clean. The indoor swimming pool is majestic, kids loved it. On my last day, I forgot my belongings and when I was checking out and they immediately took a photo and show me my belonging. I am totally impressed with their service and will definitely come back again!

PanamaExceptional stay at Hotel de la Coupole! The design is so elegant and luxurious! The attentive staff made sure that every detail was perfect. Breathtaking mountain views from the luxurious room, delicious breakfast and dinner. I want to mention that Mo and Thuy were excellent massage therapists! The temperature of the pool is regulated for the cold weather! Prime location for exploring Sapa. Highly recommend this 5-star hotel!!

We loved everything about this hotel. The uniqueness of this property is extraordinary. Like going back in time and everywhere you wandered you found something new and wonderful. Even in its size there were cozy locations to enjoy the surrounds and magnificent mountain views. The breakfast was amazing with many variety dishes not forgetting the great coffee Good gym and the pool is something next level that you must experience The staff were professional and could not do enough for you. Special thank you to Ms Halley & Ms Chinh with making everything smoother than silk. If you ever visit Sapa you must stay at Hotel de la Coupole you will never forget the experience.

DenmarkThe early check in and a room upgrade we got came with a demand to give a 5 star review on tripadvisor even before we actually checked in. They would have gotten 5 stars anyways but this fishing for compliments is not worthy of a place like this. Also, I cannot recommend dinner in the restaurant - the food was good but prices are the same as good restaurants in western capitals and compared to them it could not deliver the same experience. I believe going out in town is a much better option. The bar looks great but drinks were a bit disappointing (especially with regards to pricing) and the lights are too bright to create a nice bar ambience.
The hotel is one of the most stunning hotels we have been to in Vietnam. The design elements are truly fascinating. The breakfast was fantastic and the swimming pool is also simply fabulous. You can really feel how it must have been in colonial times thanks to all the amazing design elements. It's a vibe! Moreover, we came early with the night train from Hanoi and we were allowed to check in at 10:30 already, which we really appreciated.

The location is very strategic, connected to Sapa station to head to Fansipan and located in the central. The decor very nice, all amenities provided. Place is huge. IG worthy.

ThailandThe room itself is nothing special (the bathroom is great, though, and I fell in love with their bathrobes). It's overpriced for what it is. But then, you basically pay for the hotel facilities and the overall experience. No regrets.
Even just for one night, you MUST stay in this hotel as part of your Sapa itinerary. It's a destination and attraction on its own. One of the most gorgeous hotels I've ever seen. Photo opps every corner. Luxurious ambiance, colonial feel. Don't miss the bar, the swimming pool (the most jaw-dropping!) and their mega breakfast, of course! On a clear day, the mountain views from the 10th floor (breakfast venue) are breathtaking. The staff are very patient and helpful.

United StatesThe front entrance to such a marvelous hotel feels like it should be in a better place, like directly facing out onto the main square, but it seems this isn't possible because they share the building with another business that currently holds that position. Not sure.
There are some places, like Prague in the Czech Republic, where everything is so carefully designed, so beautiful, so aesthetically pleasing, that you can walk around and look at things for hours because you can't get enough. That's how this hotel is. We got back from a day of sightseeing in Sapa and then decided to stroll through the hotel for a couple of hours to look at things. Beyond being a 5-star hotel, it is just a feast for the eyes. It's utterly beautiful. The pool, the cafe, the rooftop, the lobby, the rooms. Everything is uniquely beautiful.
