The place is quite new. The young owners really take care of everything for you. We loved the design and overall we felt very good. It is located between ricefields and mountains so it is all very beautiful. It is about a 30 minutes drive from town. Therefore consider what you want to do, it is perfect to relax or a starting point for hikes. Transfer from Sapa town can be arranged and also motorbike rental and guided hikes. The food was very good and also the coffees and juices. We loved to share time with the pets (cat and dog).

Our stay at De Mong exceeded all our expectations! The staff are amazing and couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. The homestay itself is stunning and is located on the bamboo trail which meant we could trek without a guide. Our room was clean, incredibly comfortable and homely. We also had some delicious food and great coffee during our stay. We will definitely be returning to De Mong one day. Special mention goes to Pam the cat and Happy the dog who made our stay extra special!

Our days in DE MONG were not only holidays for us, that was much more. Especially this homestay is run by a modern, totally helpful and dedicated couple. From the beginning, we felt at home, they took care of us all the time. Everyone on the team was super warm, not intrusive and honest. You are simply great people with beautiful hearts ❤️ There are wonderful animals in the homestay: a cat Pam and a dog Happy, spending time with the two and watching them was fun for us 🐈 🐕 As far as the location and the accommodation are concerned, what is perfect for us. Away from the noisy city, in the middle of nature, you could fall asleep well with the sounds of nature. The accommodation is comfortable, natural, rustic and very tastefully furnished. We haven't eaten in Vietnam as good as here yet! All dishes were freshly prepared, it tasted like Mom's. We only ate in the homestay every day! 😋 We could contact the host via WhatsApp at any time, received a quick response. He quickly organized a taxi for us, it was very uncomplicated. We booked a trekking tour with a loving guide here. It was fantastic, after that the host prepared us a foot bath for free. Thank you for your time, attention, the gift, help, great time and beautiful photos as a reminder of you and the place 🌾

One word, PERFECT! This place is the perfect stay, we loved every single moment of our stay here! De Mong is a beautiful Homestay near Sapa run by the sweetest family! We spent 3 nights here and the price was fantastic! The Homestay has stunning views of the rice fields you won’t get anywhere else in the world! We loved waking up each morning and being greeted by their beautiful, friendly dog named Happy and the most adorable cat Pam! The food was delicious, honestly the best food we’ve had in Vietnam! It’s so fresh and authentic Vietnamese cooking! It’s also a very great price! On our third day here we went for a walking tour we booked through the Homestay! Lia, a woman from a local village took us up into the mountains, through a bamboo forest, into a local village and through the rice fields! We even got a delicious lunch after all the walking! In the evenings we would sit outside and watch the most beautiful sunset over the rice fields as the farmers finished working for the day! The homestay is beautiful, the views are stunning and the food is delicious but it’s the kind people who own and run De Mong that truly make this stay unforgettable! I feel like we have beautiful new friends from Sapa and can’t wait to comeback and stay at De Mong for even longer! We didn’t want to leave! De Mong and the owners now hold a special place in our hearts and we’ll remember them and our time there forever! Thank you De Mong! 🫶🏼

Just everything! Sapa is such a peaceful place and De mong is probably the best possible location to stay. The price value is beyond great. You get a beautiful, cozy, well equipped room with an unbelievable view. The staff was so kind and committed. And on top of that the food also tasted really really good. If I’d have one wish, it would for sure be one more night at this phenomenal place!

Our stay at De Mong homestay in Vietnam, Sapa, was absolutely fantastic! The location amidst the rice fields is simply breathtaking, providing a peaceful and picturesque backdrop. The food was undoubtedly the best we tasted during our time in Vietnam - fresh, authentic, and incredibly delicious! Be sure to try the Coconut-Matcha and Salt coffee! However, what truly made the stay unforgettable was the hospitality from the entire team. It's truly a family business, and the camaraderie is very welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. Their kindness and willingness to attend to every detail left a lasting impression. We can highly recommend De Mong and are certain that many more people will discover and enjoy this magical place. Another true hidden gem!

It was the best accomodation we‘ve ever been and we‘ve been at many places. Everything is just perfect and even better than in the pictures. We felt like home since the first minute. The place is very quiet and has the best view and scenery in whole Sa Pa. The terrace is next to the rice fields and you can see the sunset perfectly. Furthermore the location is very good, as its at the starting point of a outstanding hike. You can also rent motorbikes if you want do go to Sa Pa. But believe me, when you are at De Mong, you dont want to go anywherhe else The very tidy and beautiful rooms have big windows, where you can look at the beautiful scenery, when falling asleep. The food is very delicious, just as the drinks. But the best thing about this accomodation are the people who own it. They are so friendly and do everything for you if you want it. We do not have any words for that, because we rarely met such nice peoples in our lifes!

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Beautiful homestay in a quiet and stunning location. We loved the simple and tasteful design of the rooms and common spaces. Perfect place for hiking and for a relaxing holiday. The staff is extremely kind and helpful and they really did everything they could to make our stay the best possible. They also have really good food and vietnamese coffee (and a lovely dog and cat). Absolutely recommended.

The hosts Anh and his wife and their family are incredibly helpful, communicative, and accommodating! We arrived at 1 am and Anh was helping us get there every step of the way, including our bus to hotel transfer. On our last night they helped us with absolutely everything giving us a room to hang out in, setting up our transfers to Cat Ba, and even invited us and a few others to a family bbq that was out of this world! The room was fantastically spacious and ridiculously cozy! The bed was probably the best bed we’ve slept in during our 4 months of travel so far and the aesthetic of the whole place is really nice! The location is amazing with incredible views of the rice terraces, the river, and the mountain across the valley! There are buffalo, ducks, dogs, cats, and young children that are always passing by on the rice fields which makes you feel like you’re just hanging out in your back yard lounging on a nice day! We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Damong and would HIGHLY recommend it as your next lodging when in Sa Pa!

It’s amazing. The view from my room is…incredible …no words can describe .Everyone should try staying here. It's breathtakingly beautiful. The young couple who owns the house is extremely warm and thoughtful. I especially fell in love with the lovely cat Pam 😍😍

At the start, my stay was very peaceful and everything was going smoothly. After the first night, I experienced micro aggressions when I made a noise complaint. The walls are not soundproof, so I was able to hear everything that was going on in the room next to me. The inhabitants were talking loudly well into the night, approaching 11pm. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but I had to wake up early the next morning. When I told the hosts about the noise, they messaged the people in the next room and specifically told them that room 1 (the room I was in), made the complaint. As someone who use to work in hospitality, you should never tell someone who is making noise, where the noise complaint came from. They could have said something like “It is now quiet hours and we would encourage you to observe this by managing your noise levels”. Every place that I’ve stayed in Vietnam, observes quiet hours. Ironically, there was even a mat in my room that said ‘live life quietly’. The next night, the hosts were having a loud conversation, very close to my door with these same guests..I found the this to be very odd considering I made a complaint about noise the night before. At around 10:30pm, when they all finished talking, those same guests were making loud noises until about 12:30am. Thankfully I didn’t have to wake up early the next day. To note, I am of African descent and the other guests were “white”. There was no a/c unit in the room when I was there. During my time in Vietnam, I’ve seen “white” people (all men) exchanging glances with the Vietnamese people when they see me as a way of saying “what is she doing here”. They look at me with disgust, then they look at the nearest Vietnamese person with a look of concern, similar to the method when trying to communicate with someone who looks like they’re being kidnapped.

The location of the property was stunning in a private and quiet area. The home is beautifully decorated. The pets are well behaved and friendly <3
