Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeOne or two more power plugs beside the bed side would have been useful.
Staff is excellent, very helpful. Room is very comfortable and cozy, decent size. Bathroom is very nice and super clean (bath tub + shower). Toilet with jetspray. Breakfast was alright, not a very large spread. They offered to pack for us on the last day knowing that we had an early morning flight to catch. Location: it's located near the city centre but on one of many small streets.

IndiaNothing as such, the rooms are very small. I guess that's the case with all hotels in hanoi.
Mia is extremely accommodating and supportive with all your needs. The hotel exhibited exceptional cleanliness and organization. The location might be slightly away from the old quarters but peaceful.

MalaysiaLocation of the hotel is on the quieter side, and slightly further from the main shopping area, but around 10-min walk. Initially my room can’t be locked but the staffs resolved it quickly. Some amenities are not provided such as sanitary pad and body lotion.
Staffs are very friendly and helpful, provided good recommendations for tours and food. Our rooms are clean.

AustraliaThe drain in the shower of the king suit did not drain well. The floor is tilted the wrong way - it tilts away from the drainage hole.

Switzerlandsituated a bit on the outskirt of the lively part of the old district so if you like to stay close to this then this is not the hotel. As with other hotels in Vietnam their window quality sucks ( 1 layer ) so expect quite some street noise if you have a room towards the street. Further a huge building site is across from the hotel, they work 24/7, so expect noise from this also until 2025 (if my guess)
Good rooms and bathrooms. Staff ok and breakfast ok

United KingdomNo access to main tv channels. After a long day touring it woukd have been nice to relax with a movie on the TV. Apparently the channels were blocked. So for us no tv at night was a let down. Called room service and I guy came played with the TV and then said the channels are blocked and left. No explanation on why they were blocked. It woukd even allow me to log into my Netflix account... Super fast WiFi I don't think so as couldn't even open pages on Google. I reverted back to my mobile data Breakfast was very limited. And I didn't like the way they cut the crossiants into small bits. Not allowing us to have a whole one. There was bacon. And pasta. eggs were cooked to order. But the staff were very attentive and helpful. There's a lot of good things about this hotel. But I think for 75 dollars a night. We expected just a working tv. And a bigger selection of breakfast food... As regards to the room. It was ok. Quite small with a big bed. So big I kept knocking my shins as I tried to walk around the room. The bathroom was OK. With the usual washing bits. The shower was In the bath. And had a shower curtain that smelt of damp.and didn't really stop the water going onto the floor. For a 4 star hotel I woukd expect better. For us it felt more like a guest house and not a hotel...
Lovely helpful staff. Very clean. In a peaceful location.

PhilippinesNothing. All great experience from Hotel De Rond! It was a lovely stay and my mom enjoyed it!
The location was central. Points of interests were within walking distance. It was safe, quiet and a bit fancy as it is located in the French Quarter part of town. Breakfast was good and they serve variety of food applicable to vegetarians, too! There was a convenient store at the corner where we bought water and some snacks before coming back to the hotel. There were also 2 cute cafes along the same street. French Opera House is about 8-10 minute leisure walk, Hoan Kiem Lake about the same distance, but opposite way. Newly opened Uniqlo by the Lake about 10 minutes, high end shops like Richard Mille, Bottega, Christian Dior, Loius Vuitton, Prada all housed in the same location, about 8 minutes walk. St. Joseph Cathedral about 10-12 minutes leisure walk. Overall, very satisfied with our stay here! WiFi worked perfectly during our stay as well! Ms. Chip, the front desk concierge, explained the location well. She provided some tips on where to go, what to do and where to eat. The other staff members always greet us with a smile, always ready to help and we truly appreciated that.

CanadaThe breakfast was very good, however the staff were disorganized and nobody seemed to be in charge. They tried really hard, but the lack of communication made things less efficient.
The front desk staff was attentive and very friendly with excellent English skills, which we appreciated. When a tour pick up didn’t happen as expected , one of the staff members contacted them and sorted out the problem for us without us asking. The breakfast foods were delicious and plentiful.

Great hotel to stay at in the center of Hanoi. Nice compact room (maybe a little smaller than depicted in the photos) which was great for a 5 night stay. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room was appreciated. Communication before arrival was fantastic . We had a mix up with our flights and they answered my messages to change airport pickups without any hassle. The breakfast was ok but we usually ate breakfast at the many places on the street. Lovey staff, lovely hotel. Would stay there again.
