Reception team were super friendly and very helpful during the check-in process. The room and bed were both clean, as well as the bathroom. The hostel only a short Grab away from busy areas - but nice and quiet at night Ve and Mina are an excellent team at Elegant Homestay

I didn't have a light and a place for plugging my phone into charge. However I think that staff would have helped me of I had asked, but I just took one from another empty bed.

The staff is very nice. Emplacement a bit out of the center, which is not necessarily bad because it's quieter and more authentic. Kettle to use for free. Clean bathroom

Only 2 minor issues. Lockers could be bigger to fit a rucksake inside and the extractor fan for the bathroom didnt work so it got pretty humid in the ensuite after a shower.

This place is tucked away down a quiet street away from the noisy roads. The bunks have a reasonably comfy mattress with a curtain and the AC worked nicely in the room. The ensuite was clean and everything worked. The doors have coded locks so its super secure and there is enough lockers for everyone in the room. Most of all Vy is the nicest guy I've ever met. He gave me a lift across town on his scooter and helped me pick out a mega deal on a new phone and sim literally 1/4 the UK price then introduced me to some vietnam food. He is a very genuine guy that will go so far out of his way to be helpful. I hears from another travellor Vy helped him pick out somewhere to live when he was in trouble. So yeah i highly recommend this place just for Vy, such a sound guy!

The only downside is that the bed was quite hard and that there is no elevator.

Cheap, clean and convenient stay for 1 night right next to the train station. It exactly met our expectations. We had a private room with a double bed and 2 kids beds (though we were only 2 people, so didn't need them). The room also has a desk and an office chair, so it would also be suitable for some remote work. The bathroom was right outside our room in the hallway, but it's still a private bathroom. Our room was the only one on the floor and the bathroom was only for us. Inside, there is a toilet, and a shower, both were clean and nice to use, even if they are very basic. The whole hotel uses a smart doorlock system with passcodes. For the main door there is one number that is changed every day. And for the room there is a different number. These are shown to you on checkin and you can take a screenshot. The advantage is that you can come and go at any time.

Booked a single room for a quick nap and shower before catching the train. It was located close to the station. They let me drop my bag early so I could go on a whistle stop tour of the city.

Clean, spacious, secure, good value, and run by a very nice woman who has some English. Plenty of eating options in the area. Taxi should be around 80,000 Dong to main attractions downtown ie walking street bars, war remnants museum etc, depending on traffic, Grab may be cheaper. Within 200 metres of the Saigon railway station, Elegant Homestay is tucked away down a cute lane/alleyway. Highly recommended.

Maybe the hall at the ground floor could be better organised so that it could have the function of a common area.

Far (30 min walk) from the main attractions but we booked it for that reason (to be near to the train station). Bed is quite hard but was fine for us

We were able to store our luggage there at 5 am after we arrived by night train. Room was clean and spacious, AC worked fine, towels were provided. Nice accommodation!

good value for what you pay. Located in a really lively and interesting area, but not at the Main Street so it’s quite at night. the manager is really friendly, responsive and helpful. we where 4 ppl visiting from Germany and had a good time :))

The owner of this homestay is just the best! She is so warm and friendly and always tried to ensure my stay was pleasant, recommending restaurants, telling me where I could go to print documents etc. One night, I was unable to sleep due to extremely noisy guests in the dorm and she even moved me to another room at 2am! She has taken on board previous reviews and now the top bunks do have power sockets and you can access light switches easily. Everything seems new and very clean. Thank you!

8-bed female only dorm: The light switches for the room and the bathroom are behind the top bunk beds nearest to the door, which is a little annoying when you want to use the bathroom and would be a bit of a problem if someone was in the bed. There is no lock on the bathroom door but you can lock the main door to the room from inside. The top bunks do not have access to a power socket but bottom bunks have two. Most of these problems are design flaws which would be expensive to fix - not really the fault of the hostel and would only be a problem if the room was full.

There are a lot of shops and food places very close by. Everything in the hostel feels brand new, the room has air conditioning (with remote control), the mattress/pillow are comfortable and the wifi worked perfectly. The bathroom is nice and it is in the room so you only share with the people in the room. There was toothpaste, shower gel and shampoo available in the bathroom and I was given a towel and a toothbrush when I checked in. There are good-sized lockers in the room - keys are provided but there are also hoops to use your own lock. It is nice and quiet, you can just about hear the busy street in the distance but barely noticeable much quieter than most other places I’ve stayed in the city center. The receptionist was very nice, super helpful and spoke English.

The pigeons locked up in front of the hotel... it's not very welcoming. Why lock up these poor creatures who haven't asked for anything, especially as it's not to eat them. Are they just locked up there for viewing pleasure?

Clean room. Great and attentive staff, who helped us climb the suitcases. Security lock with code is great.
