Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. VietnamThe fridge was not working correctly. The scooter we rented from the hotel is a bit old. There is no elevator, but we stayed on the first floor; it is not a problem.
Quiet security place, not too far from the beach, and the price is so good compared to the quality. The room is clean and exactly the same as the images; nice bed; we had a good sleep. Friendly and supportive staff.

GeorgiaThey don’t clean every day, they do it once in 3 days only. The Internet connection is slow especially in the evening (can’t even open a web tab). They don’t have bottles of water, tea, coffee in the room and don’t bring it when they clean. They even don’t bring a toilet paper - you need to ask for it on the reception.
The room is cozy and I felt like at home.

VietnamThe wall next to my bed had some unexplained traces of brownish dried liquid, which is disgusting. I didn't dare looking back at it. The toiletries included almost all things I needed BUT there were small little things that really got under my skin. Like there was a shave but no shaving cream; there were 2 bottles for shower and shampoo but no labels so there was no way we could nơ which one to use. ALso, I booked a room of 4 but there are only 2 glasses.
The location was quiet. The matress and pillows were soft and comfy. I went out like a light once I lay down.

France- staff is not really customer oriented - I'm used to more welcoming staff in VN - maybe they were shy - in the bathroom, no curtain separating shower and toilets (gets wet everywhere) - AC was noisy - one night there was enough - bed is not comfy - it's an old mattress - no bed lights - the night staff was smoking in the lobby and the smoke goes all over the stairs (I had to smell it until 4th floor)
The hotel is very central but still in a very quiet street (end of Biet Thu street). It was nice to have big windows and balcony for natural light to come in. The price is cheap but for that low price don't expect too much. I stayed at 4th floor and one of the staff helped with my luggage.
