Everything about the hotel was beautiful and the location was perfect, but it was the staff that took it to the next level. They were all very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The manager Du was very special and even stayed in contact with us on his day off to make sure we had everything we needed. would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Excellent location right in the centre of the old town, very helpful and exceptionally pleasant staff who go the extra mile to help. They helped me arrange early check-in for our next hotel stop at SaPa and offered advice of where to go and eat there, booked restaurants, arranged transport etc. The hotel is well maintained, the rooms of good size and everything works well. The location is 50 metres from Beer Corner - it's very loud outside with music from bars and traffic, but the soundproofing works well, so almost zero noise audible from the bedrooms. The skybar is also very nice, 10 levels above the street so quiet, with good views of the surroundings.

La mejor is in the center of Hanoi, so the way back to the hotel during the night meant lots of people and Restaurants/Bars on the surrounding. Breakfast was pretty good, the scrambled eggs were my go to.

The location is awesome. Right in the middle of the Old Quarter. At night the street closes and a bunch of restaurants open. However, we didn’t hear noise in the room. The service was excellent, very personalized a attentive. Bedroom was super clean, the breakfast was good too. Good variety of food, nice setting, and very clean. Overall this is a great hotel with excellent customer service and location.

GermanyThe room size was smaller than expected. It was OK for a few nights, but for longer periods we would have chosen a place with larger rooms. To be fair: Most hotels in the same area have similar sized rooms due to the density of the neighbourhood.
Great breakfast, noise-cancelling windows, super friendly and transparent staff. Restaurant (Gourmet Corner), great menu and amazing presentation. The location is in the middle of the beer street, but we could not hear any noise coming from the street. We got a good discount on the restaurant and sky bar. Really value for money.

TaiwanLocation is central so it's very convenient and close to many good restaurants, shopping and the lake. The hotel is right in the middle of beer street so it gets very lively and noisy at night. Our room was on the other side, but we could still hear some muffled noise until midnight. It really wasn't an issue for us. We had a twin room that had two very nice, comfortable beds. The beds were not the standard twin size, but extra wide and long. The firmness was perfect and bedding was high quality. The room wasn't spacious but clean. We had a big window which brought in light and that was important because many of the rooms in Hanoi don't have windows so it's dark and can feel claustrophobic. Only complaint would be that the showers don't have a proper door so the water sprays outside a bit. Not a big issue. Breakfast was very good. Had a perfectly made omelette and fresh yogurt with fresh passion fruit every morning. Of course, there were many other choices since it was buffet style, but that is what I looked forward to every morning. One minor complaint would be that potatoes weren't offered every morning. A potato dish was offered only one day out of 4 breakfasts. Another highlight of breakfast was the view from the room. The service was excellent. The whole staff was friendly and attentive, but we got exceptional service from Du at the front desk. He made it a point to give us his whatsapp contact when we arrived, in case we ever needed it. I didn't anticipate the need to contact him, but it sure came in handy a number of times when we needed a recommendation for a restaurant, shopping for a certain thing, helping to prepare a breakfast box to take for the day trip to Halong Bay, or getting directions when we were far from the hotel. He always replied quickly even when he was off duty.

Taiwan1) It’s located on a “party street” that I had no idea about when I booked it. So at night there was loud music blasting through the window and it was difficult to sleep. 2) My friends and I were vegan, and vegan breakfast options were quite limited.

SingaporeAvoid 8th floor if possible since the rooms are right below the restaurant so it gets quite noisy starting 6am and into the late evening (you can hear furniture moving above the ceiling etc). Also sadly the beds are not very good, they are very bouncy so you are likey to disrupt each other's sleep. On another occasion we stayed at 7th floor and had no issues with the noise.
Very central location, right in the middle of the Old Quarter and at a very busy and noisy street yet the rooms are totally quiet as they are at the back of the street. Very good breakfast. Stylish rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Big thank you to the manager for helping us sort out our airport transfer after the driver didn't show up.

CanadaBeware the room with no windows (narrow building butting up against the next bldg. Rooms with windows are available but at a premium. Worth it.
My 4th stay at this hotel since 2014 (previous was the Essence hotel). I keep returning as has all I need and no more. Inside the hotel, an oasis as otherwise located right on the button of the Old Quarter. Staff delightful and accommodating. They’ve added a rooftop bar and a resto one level down. Great facilities and views. Breakfast (included) is first class. Dinner is gourmet at the Gourmet Room.
