Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

We really enjoyed our stay here! Phoenix and Bosa are very welcoming and super nice. The breakfast and dinners are such a treat every time and so abundant! We enjoyed the quiet of the place and showers under the sun or night sky and full moon are just amazing! Absolutely loved it! We went on a floating market tour with Bosa which was a whole experience! Coffee, pho and pineapple on the water :) We also did a cooking class with Phoenix, we made a curry that was just delicious :) We had a very good time here, they are amazing hosts, very friendly and really helpful with all of our questions and concerns. Much love and a big thank you to Phoenix and Bosa for a beautiful couple of days at their home!

DenmarkNothing really - if you tried to improve anything the place would most likely loose it's authenticity. The members of the host family are all amazing and the more interest, respect, and care you show them the more they'll open up and you will earn their friendship and have a unique chance for an insight in their lives.
Our 1 week stay at Farmer Homestay was the absolute highlight of our 11 weeks in Vietnam from mid December 2023 until end of February 2024. We were lucky and honored to be able to spend Tet Holiday with the host family and loved every minute of it - we have made friends for life ❤️

AustraliaI am currently writing this review whilst I am still at this homestay. I wanted to share my experience and hope others will want to visit this lovely family. This home stay is very rustic, very quiet, and feels very homely. Bosa and Phoenix have made me feel like I was a part of the family. They are very kind, generous, and very humble. They are always trying to make you smile with Bosa's enthusiasm for life and with Phoenix's love through food. They have three adorable dogs that are very sweet and playful and aren't afraid of visitors. Bosa's tour was very informative and showed me a portion of what life is like as a Vietnamese person in the Can Tho region. I have met some wonderful people through my stay, and this has shaped the way I see life. I am truly grateful to have visited and would love to visit their new homestay they are opening in may :)

Germany-
Thank you Bosa and Phoenix and your sons for your warm, generous hospitality! As soon as we made the booking, Bosa contacted us to welcome us to his place and give practical information. He thoughtfully provided a voice message with directions in Vietnamese which we could play to our taxi driver. The homestay is in an upscale neighbourhood of Can Tho but set a little inside so it feels like one is the countryside, surrounded by nature. Our room was simply furnished and impeccably clean. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and even toothbrush sets. The beds had mosquito nets and they provided mosquito repellent coils every evening but to my surprise there were no mosquitoes or insects despite being right next to the water. There were hammocks and seating outside where one could relax and listen to the sounds of nature. The highlight of our stay were the dinner times with the wonderful home-cooked meals by Phoenix followed by Bosa playing music. It was a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere that encouraged the various guests to interact and get to know each other. It felt like staying at a friend's house. Phoenix's cooking is outstanding and all the guests agreed that this was the best food they had during the travels in Vietnam. We appreciated that she made vegetarian versions of all the dishes for us and showed me how to make Bánh xèo. We did the early morning boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market where we had a noodle breakfast and pineapples on a high boat. We also visited the land market and a family noodle production facility. Loved these insights into life in the Mekong delta. We enjoyed our chats with Bosa and Phoenix and learning a little bit about their life. They are driven by a desire to share their lifestyle and culture and that comes across. It was an authentic and personal experience that one could never get staying in a hotel. Looking forward to visiting them again sometime in their new location!

ItalyBosa and his wife Phoenix have been two wonderful host. By they are house you can have a little taste of Vietnamese life in the countryside. Dinner and breakfast are cooked by Phoenix with fresh products from the local market. We had a very nice tour with Bosa by floating market and noodles “factory”. During the night Bosa played the piano for us and we had a little private concert. Our son felt in love with the little dog and he had a very funny time with him. I can really suggest this experience (but please note that this is not an hotel and you are not in the city center). Some bicycles are available for free.

Great opportunity to see a different side of Vietnam. Bosa and Phoenix were excellent hosts. The accommodation is simple (as you would expect from a hometay) but safe and comfortable. Delicious food cooked by Phoenix and Bosa was really helpful giving information about the local area and acting as tour guide on trip to floating market. I really appreciated the WhatsApp messages before arriving, including a recording of the directions to the property that I could play to the taxi driver. Very helpful!

VietnamWe live in Hanoi and this is the first time my family come to Can Tho. We really like the atmosphere here: quite, peaceful and fresh. We like the bathroom very much. Mrs Phonex cooked very well, especially for the vegetarian like me. Mr, Bosa took us to floating market and try some local food. They make us feel like home and welcome us as a family member. He also taught our children to play music. We really enjoy the time here. Thank you very much Bosa and Phonex and all member is their family.
