Only problem is that grab is difficult to get there. Also the cruise to starfish beach is expensive for a couple if there no bigger group going there.

It would have been great if there was something over the shallow end of the pool to shade from the sun so that the kids could play without as much sun exposure.

We went as a family with a four year old. The place was perfectly set up to enjoy the pool and the beach with a delicious in house restaurant. The pool came with pool toys available for anyone to use and there was plenty of seating around the pool. The rooms are a very generous size with bottles of water dropped to your door daily. We stayed for four nights and later in our trip around Vietnam we returned another four nights as we had such a good time. The staff are excellent especially Quan who our daughter adored and would run to give a hug every time we saw her in the restaurant. There is a bar onsite but we couldn't hear any of the music in our poolside room (127) which is on the other side of the property. Instead of using the inhouse laundry I contacted a local launderette via google maps (Laundry P Ganh Dau) that did a 24hr pick up and drop off, it was VND50,000 per kilo. It is near enough to the Bee Farm (free entry, wonderful coffee and fruit juices with honey as well as great products) if you wish to visit something on the island and about an hour from the airport.

We stayed here for so little time!

Perfect hotel. Big spacious rooms with exquisite little details (iron, fine women's robe, four types of towels, large bathroom, lots of mirrors, comfortable lighting by the bed...etc. The beach is quiet and tidy. The territory, the pool, the beach are cleaned every day, besides, the territory is guarded, there is a great sense of security, no stranger appears here. I especially want to highlight the restaurant. It charmed us. Fine presentation. The food is very tasty, especially the fish dishes, the best during our Vietnam trip. We didn't even think of eating in the village! Prices match the quality, large portions. Breakfast is also served to each individual according to their choice (perhaps we were lucky, because the hotel was not very full, at times it seemed that we were the only ones here) To the village, not far, wheels for free, we rented a motorbike for 200k, (could be younger than that price) The pool is big and clean, open 24/7. The beach is not big, but private. Snorkeling, all equipment available for free. This place is for those who want to enjoy peace and quiet (although there is a disco bar in a separate room on the beach 😄)

The tooth of time has left some mark on the resort, some things could use a refreshment. Perhaps it's because they seem to struggle to get enough customers to make bigger investments, I had that impression...

The environment of this resort is super nice, tranquil, peaceful. The food is really good, especially the breakfast. Lot of variety to choose from. The staff didn't understand good English and made some mistakes from time to time, but they were really nice and positive and never hesitated to remedy an issue. I definitely recommend a stay.

The secluded location was exactly what we wanted. Breakfast was nice. Really enjoyed the 2 for one cocktail hour. I was unwell on arrival the staff were helpful. I loved the pool. Good size rooms and clean.

Sound isolation is far from adequate. The houses near the water pull are separated to 2 sections, in each section different guests can live, so if there a lot of people in the facility, it's high probability, that you're sharing house with someone under the same roof and sound isolation between two rooms was...like it was nothing.

Restaurant in this place one of the best things about my whole stay! Breakfast was good, and variety of food which was available throughout the day is exactly what many of people need during their stay. Room is spacious and clean. At the front desk can choose different trips around the island or for snorkeling. Trip for snorkeling definitely worth it, guide will take you to nearby island where water is clean and variety of flora and fauna is much bigger, than in the sea near hotel. Bikes for rent was pretty convenient.

A beautiful small resort tucked away at the end of Gánh Dao. It was a perfect place to wind down and relax for the first part of our holiday. Informal, laid back and friendly. The food was amazing… breakfast very generous with many choices of both Asian and western. The staff were just so lovely including Son the manager. They couldn’t do enough for us Rooms were a big size as was the bathroom. Beds very comfortable. We couldn’t recommend highly enough and definitely would love to come back… Also not to forget the amazing cocktails at sunset!!

For the first couple of nights there was someone staying in the room next to ours (2 rooms to each villa) and we found that the sound travelled very easily and seemed to be coming through the ceiling attic? Maybe not all are like that? We were in room 129 pool view.

We spent six days at Gold Coast Resort and would definitely return here again. The beautifully appointed rooms were very large and comfortable and the bathroom was huge with massive shower. The pool was great with lots of loungers. The beachfront was lovely with many hammocks and loungers. The restaurant was excellent! No need to eat anywhere else. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices and everything we had from the cocktails to all different items on the menu were very good quality and very good value. We will miss the friendly hardworking staff and the lovely relaxing vibe of this place.

The place is in a tropical paradise and has everything you will need but quite isolated apart from a local primitive village. The staff are off the scale exceptional I. Service and warmth. Great food and drinks and well priced.

Wonderful hotel with a friendly staff, super tasty outstanding food , we slept very good , even if in the first bungalow facing the water the AC was loud. The employee at the reception was really friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, the evenings were quiete , good cocktails. I was glad I didn’t spend my staying in the south part of the isle, the resort was really peaceful .

Fabulous location right on the beach. Really comfortable bungalow with good a/c - quiet at night. Staff were excellent - so kind and helpful in every way. All meals top class - and just the perfect location for a cocktail before dinner. We stayed 4 nights, and our only regret is that we didn’t book for longer.

Loved the peaceful beach. If your coming here to party in a group. Not the place for you. It’s beautifully comfortable & peaceful. The staff is lovely & room was very clean & comfortable. Beach has a small reef if front for some good snorkeling highly recommend

There was rubbish on the beach next to the resort, which for me is not a good look, put me off swimming in the sea. During cocktail hour (time for adults) you should not have to deal with kids kicking balls right around you.

Had some great vegetarian meals and took full advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktail hour. Secluded, away from the busyness of Phu Quoc. Also had no trouble getting tourist companies to pick us up for tours from our resort. I was unwell on my first day and the staff were kind and helpful. Not a big beach person I used the pool which I had to myself most times.

Location is great but if you want to see the whole island including the mad if beautiful cable car in the south and bonkers pastiche Italian town, and the nice Buddhist pagoda, then hire a car for 1-2 days. We did that and also had a scooter for 1 day. Perhaps it’s a tiny bit expensive compared to other comparable places.

A scenic quiet spot away from the weirdness and overdevelopment of the rest of the island. Really nice clean beach and excellent swim spot. Close enough to the local town, 15 minute walk to the busy fish and vegetable market. Really superb, fresh tasty food. Excellent cocktails - one of the best Pina coladas we have had. Try the herring salad special of the island! Nice beachfront seating area for drinks/dinner, and covered restaurant for breakfast. Large clean bedrooms, comfy bed. Nice people. Very well done.

The location was not close to any services or a long walkable beach. Requires a car or motor bike and then location is fine.

There was an airport pickup making arrival seamless. The room was spacious and nicely done. Sitting porch with ocean view. Beach was very relaxing which was just what I was looking for. Hammocks and lounge chairs. Good breakfast in the AM. Lovely pool. Quiet. Helpful staff.

AC machine loud, poor English in the restaurant .

The position is stunning , quite and secluded. The staff is very welcoming and Son and the manager were very kind to help us booking ferry tickets and resolving small issues . The staff in the restaurant was friendly , they smile all the time , unfortunately due to a bad English there were several mistakes ordering food or cocktails. The food at the restaurant was precious , lovely prepared and fresh all the time . Breakfast rich and varying.The massages at the spa were very professional , it is a pity that the room is a bit run down ( no flowers, dusty), we asked for the same girls for the whole week. The snorkeling in front is poor , but the water was calm and clean . It was a good start for our journey through Vietnam . We loved the fact there were no more then 30 people in the resort. The beds were comfortable . We found the bungalows in the second row better ( in the first row we had a very very loud AC). The garden is well kept and the club house wonderful .

A beautiful resort situated in front of one of the most stunning beaches I’ve ever seen. This resort exceeded our expectations - for a 3 star resort, we were highly impressed with the facilities, service, location etc. The room we stayed in was beautiful, very spacious and comfortable beds. We got a room upgrade towards the end of our stay which we enjoyed very much. The service was exceptional - we had Son service us with all his heart from start to finish which we appreciated so much. We loved the idea of breakfast, you could order anything you wanted from their breakfast menu, which was delicious!! The restaurant also served lunch and dinner which was also very good. Location was perfect, few minute drive to Grand World and Vinwonders - must go to these places if you’re staying in Phu Quoc!! Private beach was definitely the highlight - beautiful golden beach. The resort also had two lovely and friendly dogs. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and we will definitely be coming back here soon, missing this resort already. Highly recommended!!
