Kevin, Gem and Mason were very friendly and extremely helpful with booking a driver, and taking laundry. They also gave good and accurate advice when required. Hotel position is perfect to explore the Old Quarter. Only one street back from the lake with a small convenience store opposite. There were many options for meals close by. Everything was as described on Booking.Com. Highly recommend. .

The only thing I didn't like was the bed. It was a bit hard and uneven but we came prepared with our own travel mattresses that we put on top of their mattress.

Hanoi Golden Sunshine Hotel exceeded my expectations from start to finish. We arrived late at night and we were greeted by a friendly smiling young man ( Quý) who swiftly checked us in and helped us with our stuff.First impressions count! Our room ( #701) was spacious and had a fridge and kettle which is always great. We found the hotel nice and quiet and centrally located in the Old Quarter. There was a small super market right in front so that was  convenient for buying extra water, fruit, yoghurt etc. The included breakfast was quite good too. What really made this hotel standout was the staff. Mason and Kevin went out of their way to help us pick some tours for Sapa, gave us advice on restaurants, help book a special spa experience and I mentioned it was my husband's birthday and they sent us a beautiful birthday cake as a surprise. The staff went above and beyond for us which we greatly appreciated. I 100% recommend a stay here. We spent 4 nights at the beginning of May.

Breakfast ok, not great. Typical of Vietnam hotel options but with limited variety.

Comfortable and clean, great value for the money, great location. Staff so helpful and kind: brought my husband a birthday cake after seeing from his passport that it was his birthday.

Really loved this hotel. Room was clean, spacious and with an amazing view (exexutive suite). The hotel is placed in an alley which makes it more quiet, which was really nice. The location is excellent for exploring Hanoi. Staff is very friendly and helpfull and they helped me both with booking a Halong Bay Tour and when I had a small accident (stumbled and hurt my knee). Breakfast was good too.

Nothing - it was all so good.

Location was wonderful, staff were amazing, breakfast was delicious and plentiful and varied. Free bikes were available, lots of good recommendations from staff, nice restaurants within walking distance and also close to town to walk. We biked to the beach - wasn't too far and was flat. Room service was great - room was cleaned every day, everything replenished generously, bar staff happy to refill our water bottles all the time, pool lovely and plenty of chairs to enjoy.

The staff was incredibly helpful with everything from helping us to book tours to airport transfer and leaving the luggage for several days. Very attentive to all our needs! And the location is perfect. I can only recommend the Golden Sunshine Villa - especially for people who arrive for the first time in Hanoi

We were staying in double room on 8th floor. I don’t know that double bed was made from two twin beds, or there were two twin mattresses on the double bed, but two people lying on the bed could be separated 😅 You guys should fix it. The elevator was a little bit old.

Staffs have very good attitude and very helpful. Location is at the centre of Old Square, convenient to go to nearby attractions. Facilities are good enough.

Loved the spacious stylish rooms. Quiet. Incredibly well located amidst fascinating streets, close to Cathedral square and Lake.. really could have spent a week just exploring the immediate streets. And the staff were fantastically helpful and friendly (‘hi Kevin!’)

The room and the view of the surrounding scenery was beautiful of the old quarters. Accessible to the surrounding shops and eateries. The wonderful treatment of the staff who were attentive to all my needs. Truly exceptional service! Highly rated hotel.

It's a little hard to find - just a doorway in a busy street.

Despite being in the old quarter this place was surprisingly quiet. The room was large and I the breakfast was a combination of small Buffet and Ah La Cart menu.

Everything was lovely

Besides the location and the price the staff was extremely helpful. I had a problem with my plane reservations and my phone wouldn’t work. One member of the staff lent me his phone while I sat on hold for fifteen minutes until I could get the problem resolved. They went above and beyond to help me solve this problem.

I stayed here a few days ago as part of a group booking. I had to come back to Hanoi early from ha-giang as I broke my collar bone. The staff at golden sunshine went above and beyond to help out in my situation. They did what they could to support me and make sure I was comfortable. They helped me navigate the hospital and getting tickets to come back to Australia. I couldn't have had a better experience. In other notes. The location is fantastic. The rooms are quiet. The breakfast is great. Access is easy though not wheelchair accessible (a couple of steps at the entrance and a narrow hallway, it may be wheelchair accessible in a pinch, elevator inside) I recommend staying here.
