Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Nice beds and shower. Staff was nice too, they collected my order. From the beach is quite far, but not bad at all. Breakfast was alright, nothing special, but they could have more varieties and stay open a bit longer

United KingdomAnd as I type this, (at 09.45,) yet another hammer drill starts up in an adjacent room ! (3 out of 4 of the Vietnamese hotels we have stayed in seemed to be in a state of maintenance and only 1 has prewarned us of this noise during check in.) We tend to recognise the signs now when the hotel in question appears to be undergoing a "rebranding." We're assuming it's just a cultural thing in Vietnam and Thailand, but while the hospitality staff are all respectfully quiet and discreet, many of the Asian guests, and the cleaning ladies in particular, very often shout to each other along the echoing marbled corridors. Staff also seem to set their loud walkie talkies to the default "hostage negotiation" setting ! We have been awoken from many a mid afternoon snooze during our first three weeks in the region.
Got a relatively cheap taxi here from Da Nang station for a one night stay prior to our onward train south, - chosen because of the ridiculously low deal Genius* deal on Booking.com and it's relative proximity to Da Nang's beach. (No complimentary breakfast* despite the room "bible" saying otherwise.) Hotel is 4 blocks due west of the seafront and a similar distance south of bars and coffee shops. Restaurants vary from cheap Ma & Pa noodle shacks to live tank seafoood emporiums. The mid sized room is decked out in neutral wood tones with a small tub bathroom. Good views on higher floors on two sides. Mini fridge, (not switched on,) Large comfortble bed. Easily accesible power sockets. Complimentary 1st night water. No mini safe. Standard bathroom freebies. Good spread of English speaking TV channels. Small rooftop sauna, gym area, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Reasonably fast wifi depending on how close you are to the ceiling mounted corridor hub.

VietnamThe hot water: I would wait for 20 minutes until it became warm which was pretty unpleasent during the rainy season. Also cockroaches visited my room several times, but it was my fault I guess. I shouldn't bring any sweet food with me. Aaaand the AC was too noisy. Room 501, pls check the AC guys.
I liked the location (not in the middle of someone's constant party), not far from everything. Also employees at the hotel were very nice, always smiling and provided good service.

MalaysiaThe buffet was just okay. My room was 1102 and the flooring was uneven and have gaps in between the pieces which could’ve been dangerous and prone to cuts. Other than that, there’s nothing much around the vicinity of the location. Will definitely require bit of walking to get to places but it’s not a big deal. Overall, the building looks a bit old and not well-maintained.

NorwayThey asked us to pay for the water even though in the information book on the bedside table said it was complementary. The breakfast was alright, but there was not too much for gluten free options.
The rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The rooms we stayed in had aircondition which was an important facility for us in the heat. They helped us book excursions which was good with a very nice guide to Ba Na Hills.

PolandTo start off the breakfast was strange - while checking in you had to choose what you want to eat and what exact time you will appear on breakfast. Some guests had an egg prepared freshly when they came an it wasn’t listed on the “a la carte” breakfast menu. We got our breakfast taken from a box and just warmed up. The gym (“fitness center”) is disastrous, the treadmill is barely functional, only a few dumbbells that won’t match each other. Bar at the rooftop hasn’t been used since months, it pretends to be a bar with just couple of empty bottles on the shelf. You could hear every noise from the corridors and the cleaning staff could not stop slamming the doors and shouting from the middle morning hours. The bathroom door was damaged so it wasn’t possible to close them. Definitely not a 8 or 9 rate for this hotel, it was confusing while I booked a stay in 8.9 rate property and it turned out to be this what we got
The pool on the roof was ok

GermanyA/C very weak. No shower curtain -> toilet paper and toilet gets completely soaked/wet when showering. Rooftop closes at 9pm. Quite far away from beach and city, you permanently need a scooter or to take a taxi. Mattress very soft/old. Pillows smelled a bit.
Scooter garage. Good price value. Best and most silent fridge I’ve had during my Vietnam journey. Breakfast staff very attentive. Good breakfast. Scooter price was fair.

SlovakiaHuge disappointment. We booked a hotel with a pool. It was closed and not working. The rooftop bar view was also closed. Internet did not work in the rooms. The curtain in the bathroom was dirty. At least 3-day-old sliced baguettes, completely hard, were offered for breakfast. The staff does not speak English. the selection for breakfast was so poor that they didn't even have milk for coffee. Juice only pure chemistry. You also have to pay for water, which is free everywhere in this hotel. It's a waste of money for such accommodation.
Hot water flowed and the air conditioner worked.

United KingdomI booked a triple room, however when I checked in discovered that we had been given a double room. When I informed the receptionist of this she told me that the hotel does not have triple rooms and I had booked a ‘superior twin room’. When I showed her my booking.com reservation (which clearly says 3 single beds and had 3 beds in the photo) she then backtracked and said that all triple rooms were fully booked. She then told me that they would rearrange our room to provide three beds. This rearrangement consisted of two double beds pushed together with a child’s camp bed pushed against the end. The camp bed had a duvet as a mattress with no bed sheets. No grown adult would be able to fit in this bed. I informed reception that this was not acceptable, to which they then provided us with an additional bedroom adjacent to the one already given (not sure why they didn’t do this initially as they had clearly made a mistake). I then asked to pay for the rooms immediately as I had lost trust in the hotel to keep my passport secure overnight. The card machine was not working so we had to go back to the room to find enough cash to pay. I found the reception staff to be quite unprofessional throughout the whole experience, giggling and clearly making jokes to each other when I raised concerns about them not honouring the room that we had booked like I was in the wrong. The shower also flooded the entire bathroom whenever used as there is a large gap between the wall and the shower.
