No external window, window to internal stairs let in light and noise.

Decor was beautiful. The staff here were so very helpful with all bookings, especially for taxis and limousine. Great prices were given for all taxi travel. Breakfast selection was very good.

Nothing to complain about

We stayed at Lavender on recommendation from a friend. Stayed 7 nights in total (5 + 2) around a trip up north. The location in Hang Bac (Street of Silver) in the Old Quarter is great, everything is at your doorstep. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. We appreciated the little extras, like two pillows each and providing hand towels and a bath mat, 😊, as a number of places we stayed (at about the same cost) , provided just towels only. We booked a room with a window for the first stay. This overlooked Hang Bac and had good views, but of expected, there was a bit of noise at night. The second stay, the staff kindly upgraded us from the double room (no window) we had booked, to a double room at the back of the hotel which also had a window. This room was very quiet at night. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Booking transfers efficiently and they happily took care of our big luggage when we went up north. The breakfast was as included in our booking and we were impressed with all the selection of food provided. We would stay here again without hesitation. Just loved it.

The location was perfect. The hotel was charming and the staff was very kind. They kindly help us and answer to all of our questions. The breakfast was good with some dishes cooked on demand, really pleasant.

A great haven away from busy Old Quarters

This is a charming hotel with a great vibe and is in the heart of the bustling Old Quarters. It was great value for money, the room had everything we needed. The staff at the front desk were amazingly helpful and attentive. The breakfast was really nice and they made pancakes on request. They were happy for us to leave our belongings there once we returned from our cruise, and in between our flights, even though we weren’t staying an extra night. I believe the smaller hotels make for a more personal experience. It was a great stay!

The location was perfect for all we wanted to see in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff are just exceptional. They go out of their way to help. We never usually book things through hotels but the staff booked our transfers to Sa Pa for the same price we could book online and even made us a packed lunch! They also kept our bags for the time we were away. The place is clean and has a cute charm. Just loved our time here

I truly believe nothing. For the money you pay and their rates, by the way, are very reasonable, you receive a perfect combination of excellent service, warm hospitality and friendly smiles.

It is an excellent hotel which exceeded my expectation. The staff were very professional and courteous. I'd like to emphasize the level of English of the staff which was ranging from very good to perfect; it is not very often you could meet in Vietnamese's hotels. Strategically the hotel is located right in the middle of the Old Quarter, which is the perfect location; everything is within walking distance. During our stay there was only one mishap but in fact the way it was resolved shows hotel's staff efficiency and willingness to please the guest. In one of our rooms the A/C became too noisy and as soon as I reported the hotel's management immediately found another room with the quietest A/C and transfer all my belongings there.

The room was rather small but it is typical of the Old Quarters. There were choices of rooms with or without windows and we paid a little more for the one with a window. Unfortunately the view out the window was an air conditioning compressor that blocked most of our view.

The staff was exceptional, warm thoughtful and sincere. Hana took great care of us making sure that our entire trip in Vietnam is planned out, not just only when we stay at her hotel. She booked our trip to Sapa and would accommodate our choices of overnight stay and activities. She made sure we had our packed breakfast for the journey to Sapa.

My only issue was a massive 2.5% charge to pay for my stay by credit card. In all our stays in Vietnam it was the only hotel that charged us to pay by credit card, and the 2.5% charge was high. I think the hotel should be transparent about this charge upfront and mention it on their booking.com page. No charge if you pay by cash.

The hotel is centrally located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. A busy area that comes with traffic and people noise, but our room was on the top floor and this helped minimise the noise. We were greeted with a warm smile from Hana and received a welcome drink whilst we checked in. The entrance is small from the street, but it opened into a much bigger ornate area. We had booked a junior suite which was located on the top floor, accessible via a lift. The room was a good size, with a large street facing window. Clean and comfortable, with good WiFi reception and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was included which was plentiful and there was lots to choose from. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, including organising a cab for us one day and offering other tours too, apparently at a discount. Couldn’t really fault our stay and would happily stay again.

Everything It is a lovely hotel right in the middle of the old quarter The staff were so friendly especially Jenny They met me a street away as cars are not allowed in at the weekends and walked me to the hotel I would love to visit this hotel again I travel a lot and this hotel is so much better than most
