The location is great as it is in the centre of the old town. The receptionists that I met, Jenny and Andrea, were highly professional and could speak English, which was useful. They were extremely helpful, and never pushy. They provided requested advice and explained available options. They could give details about different activities in Hanoi and were willing to spend time to help. They booked an activity for us which was as they said it would be (interesting and enjoyable) and they also arranged a private car to pick us up from the airport and bus transport to west Vietnam. Both were efficient services. The breakfast had a wide variety of foods and additional fruit in the room was provided each day. The room was serviced both days that we were there and fresh towels were provided each time. This hotel is definitely good value.

No external window, window to internal stairs let in light and noise.

Decor was beautiful. The staff here were so very helpful with all bookings, especially for taxis and limousine. Great prices were given for all taxi travel. Breakfast selection was very good.

We stayed at Lavender on recommendation from a friend. Stayed 7 nights in total (5 + 2) around a trip up north. The location in Hang Bac (Street of Silver) in the Old Quarter is great, everything is at your doorstep. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. We appreciated the little extras, like two pillows each and providing hand towels and a bath mat, 😊, as a number of places we stayed (at about the same cost) , provided just towels only. We booked a room with a window for the first stay. This overlooked Hang Bac and had good views, but of expected, there was a bit of noise at night. The second stay, the staff kindly upgraded us from the double room (no window) we had booked, to a double room at the back of the hotel which also had a window. This room was very quiet at night. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Booking transfers efficiently and they happily took care of our big luggage when we went up north. The breakfast was as included in our booking and we were impressed with all the selection of food provided. We would stay here again without hesitation. Just loved it.

The location was perfect. The hotel was charming and the staff was very kind. They kindly help us and answer to all of our questions. The breakfast was good with some dishes cooked on demand, really pleasant.
