How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great host and good location, very quiet at night but still has easy access to pub street and train street. Sorted a cheap taxi for us to the airport when we were leaving and gave good recommendations for food and where to visit. The host was amazing the nicest woman we met in the whole of Vietnam will definitely be coming to stay again, everything perfect

The alley to the hotel is small and a little dark, if you check in at midnight or early morning, you should inform the hotel by email, the common gate that is over 100m far from the hotel is locked after 11pm.
The location is great, it is near the most popular places in the old quater, can walk around easily.

Perfect location close to train street and the old quarter, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Big shout out to the lady host, super kind and friendly, she also helped us with laundry and luggage storage. Highly recommended!

We were welcome like family at the Cozy Legend Hanoi hotel even if we were only there for one night. Our host was very sweet and helpful, helping us figure out the public bus route to the airport and even offering to drop us off at the bus stop by motorbike. Even if she spoke very little english, we could communicate very effectively by using Google translate and understood each other perfectly. As there were few people staying at the hotel the night we were there, we were surclassed free of charge and had a a very cozy stay. Definitely recommend this stay to explore the wonderful city of Hanoï!

Shower has no curtains or glass, which makes it a bit messy after shower. But the water was awesome both pressure and temperature.
There is no better name for this hotel, because I had the coziest and comfortable sleep in Vietnam. The room was super super clean, smells good, ventilated, white and clean bathroom, warm showers. The neighbors were nice and friendly. Location is a bit off the crowd, but in a walkable distance, which is good to enjoy the night and have a good sleep after - we were able to enjoy both. The lady at the front desk is super nice and cute, although she speaks very basic English, she was more than happy to help us with everything using a translator. I wanted to hug her every single time we came back to hotel! I’d definitely stay again in this property.
