How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Small hotel in a great location in the Old Quarter, quiet, comfortable and clean rooms, and extremely kind and helpful staff. Very good for exploring Hanoi, close to lots of restaurants and cafes. Good breakfast as well.

Excellent hotel. Extremely helpful staff and delicious breakfast really blew our minds. Hotel personnel were willing to help with booking transportation, carrying our suitcases and even packed us breakfast to go when we left the hotel early.

Although the hotel is small and quite old, it’s acceptable. The staffs are friendly. I got a very well guideline from them. They gave me some information about Hanoi: restaurant, taxi, how to aware ourselves, including a cute map of Hanoi.

Great location - situated at the Old Town quarter while remaining to be quiet at night. Staff are so helpful and would provide all assignments or travel tips you need. They have a 247 receptionist just in case of any midnight checking in or checking out. The room is clean yet a bit small but it doesn't bother my accommodation experience.

The staff are so lovely they go the extra mile to make sure your stay in Hanoi is the best it can be. Rooms were small but the cost of the rooms were reflected in that. Clean and comfortable and in a great location. The WhatsApp facility ( Jesica ), made it easy to contact the hotel should you need any help/ service Great breakfast too!

No complaints. I loved everything.
I would like to start by saying that I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time I'm in Vietnam! This was the best service I have ever had in my life (and I have already traveled to 30+ countries). The staff was so sweet, kind, and helpful and genuine! Especially the young blond guy at the front desk and the guy in the restaurant (sorry, I forgot your names!). Jessica was also super helpful and competent, especially when it came to the tours. You were always offered tea and there was always someone at the front desk. They were super happy to chat with you and recommend places to eat. For me, a female traveling alone and in Vietnam for the first time, it was so nice to feel not lonely and also cared for. The hotel: The location is in a quiet street right in the old quarter close to everything (I was just walking around everywhere since everything was within a 30min walk). The hotel is simple but clean and comfy and so are the rooms. There is free water in the room every day and it's always super clean. The size of the room was enough for me, traveling alone and I think it would def be also ok for a couple. The tours offered in the hotel are very well organized and the price is within the average/normal price compared to everywhere else. The guides were also super fun and friendly. They let me keep my luggage in the hotel for the days I was on a tour or after check out with no issue and I also could shower before my night flight as well.

There was a lot of noise from the pipes, potentially from the rain. However, this noise was continuous day and night which made it hard to sleep.

The only mprovement is the acoustic isolation. Sometimes we can hear, mainly at the morning, some motorcycles passing through the narrow street under our room. The sounds came all from the windows. Anyway, at general, it's s not a noisy place
The hotel is located in the middle of old quarter. You can reach almost every touristic spot since there just walking a while. There a plenty of street food and markets to visit. The breakfast was good, with a well made meal and coffee. Highlights go to the eggs, that you can order as you wish, like omelette, scrambled etc. The cleaning was perfect. Every time we entered in our room it was smelling cleaning and it was organized. The staffs are very gentle and polite. Jessica, the concierge, arranged all the main tours for us, with a fair price and zero headaches. I really recommend to do the reservations through the hotel, I closing transportation. It's a 10/10 service. The room was very big! Like for a family! Certainly we will come back again
