I asked to be shown the room as I had read some really interesting reviews. The cosy room does not have any windows so no natural light. We were only there for a short stay so not an issue. The hotel did offer to change the room when I fed back which was welcome. The walls are very thin in the hotel and you can hear the next door neighbours very clearly. Luckily no partying into the late hours. The rooms have mini bars installed which are glass fronted. The internal light of the fridge lights the whole room up at night so if you like a dark room be prepared.

Very good location near to the lake. All the main sites in walking distance. Breakfast room on the 12th floor has really eclectic view over the city, the food options were good and varied. Room size was good.comfortable bed which led to a good night sleep.

The weather! unusually cold and wet for January

Travelling on business , La Nueva was ideally located for my meetings during the day and relaxing early evenings with a variety of good restaurants in the neighbourhood , the hotel offered excellent wifi access and a variety of western channels on the TV, the hotel restaurant is highly recommended and definitely worth trying. I will be staying again soon

There is nothing not to like

La Nueva Boutique hotel is based very central in the old district of Hanoi , everything is walking distance, I was very happy with the standard of room . Nice hot shower , comfy bed and had all the amenities required , hence I gave it 10 for everything , If I could mark the staff 15/10 I would as they make this hotel memorable , cannot thank Jenny enough for making our stay an amazing 5 days , she went above and beyond , thank you so much, I will recommended this hotel to everyone I know. And we will be back for sure staying here.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. I was impressed by their attention to detail. We only had two nights there before and after a Ha Long Bay cruise and they remembered, on our return, that we had mentioned the walls being a little thin and being able to hear the raucous goings on in the room next door so supplied us with earplugs. NB. The noise was a one off, our second night there was lovely and quiet. And the bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for some time, even more so than my bed at home. The rooftop bar was a lovely bonus too and the hotel was very conveniently located.

Loved our stay at La Nueva. Months before our trip Jenny helped us to organize a trip to Sa Pa, to Ha Long Bay and also a food tour in Hanoi. She was so responsive and patient with me as this was our first trip to Vietnam and I asked many questions. When we arrived, the staff had everything ready for us. They even picked up tickets to the water puppet theater. The spa was great, so was breakfast. The staff acted like we were part of their family - helped with everything. I would stay there again.

The spa could do with an upgrade in terms of adding in changing rooms, privacy curtains, and better noise proofing. As well, as spa staff etiquette could be improved, in terms of creating a relaxed environment. But the massage itself was great.

Lovely service and central location. Jenny was super helpful in organising us a transfer as well as tour options. Overall, a great stay. The breakfast was great, as well as the restaurant for dinner, the manager was lovely and made each meal special. All the dinner dishes were divine!
