It is more a Hotel than a Hostel, there is not really a common area where people get together. If you are looking for a more quiet accommodation it’s perfect.

Very warm welcome at the Check-in, they provided a lot of information about tours around Hanoi & also sell SIM-Cards. The room was big and clean, one water per day was included in the price. The Hotel is located directly in the Old Quarter.

Staff was very friendly. I took a tour to Halong Bay organized by the hostel and didn't face any problems, it was really good. I was able to leave my big backpack between trips so that was great. Room was ok, although very noisy - had to sleep with ear plugs.

A minor issue with the TV in my room, having said that I didn’t mind the extra peace and silence!

I must say, the staff here and quality of service here is of a very high standard. So friendly and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Old Quarter, having said that, the location (Old Quarter itself) can be both a strength and a weakness! Thanks in particular to Miss Lisa, especially at checkout. I had a great final day in Hanoi. Never forgotten. (Andrew)

The pricing of tour packages is a bit high.

I booked a dorm bed which was very comfortable. The staff was very courteous and helpful in guiding tours. I was recommended to do a day tour to Ninh Binh by Linda and it was all worth it. I would recommend the stay.

my window couldn’t close properly so would let in outside noise during weekends during adjacent nights market (Fri-Sat). could just be my room. earplugs can fix if you’re sensitive sleeper.

The room was quite small, but very clean. It had a safe and air con. The staff was great, they had all the informations needed for trips in and around Ha Noi, organized the airport pick-up for me and were generally very helpful, but not pushy. As a solo (female) traveller, I felt very safe there. The location was perfect, just around the corner from the lively night market & beer street.

There was a dead centipede found in our room on the floor which was a bit unpleasant but this is an easy mistake to make and the staff quickly came and removed it. You are paying for rock bottom prices and best to remember that this is not a five star establishment.

The staff were brilliant. Helped us with a slightly earlier check in which was much appreciated after our 14 hr journey from London. They actually offered us a room earlier but unfortunately was a double bed, nonetheless appreciated the thought and they allowed us to use the room temporarily to have a shower which was really lovely! The breakfast options were actually pretty good and made to order (I had the pork and sticky rice option) which was nice and they had a decent spread of cereals, juices and fruits. For the money you spend, it is really worth it and we only stayed there for the one night which meant they must have left a good impression. Also to note, heritage house is next door which we did not get a chance to see but was told worth a visit and being right in the middle fo the old quarter meant easy access to most sites.

I did not know they have water server in the restaurant so I just bought the bottle water they sell in front of the reception. The lady could have told me there is water inside of the restaurant so that I could just refill the water.

Liked their professional services and tours. Even though I did not book in the end, they helped me with many info. My first time seeing bathtub and shower in dormitory room of 6 beds. It's nice to have a small terrace to see outside. I felt the other guests were more matured than other "party" backpackers dormitory hostels/guesthouses in Hanoi. I liked their breakfast 1 menu of your choice and fruits and drink buffet. They servce from around 6am so great to start early morning. I had made fellow friends here :D

The only downside is that some of the electrical sockets were quite old and did not hold some plugs in place easily making it a little difficult to charge devices.

This is a really nice hotel. Lovely comfortable clean room, excellent friendly, helpful staff, strong internet connection, very good breakfast, super location and all really good value for money. I would definitely recommend it.

Hanoi House Hostel & Travel was a great place to stay in Hanoi. The location is wonderful in the Old City. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Slept very well. I recommend Hanoi House and will definitely stay there again when I return to Hanoi.

First of all we wanna thank Ms. Lisa, who was there for us during our entire stay. From airport pickup to arrangement of tours, money exchanges etc, their services were prompt and exceptional. The checkin process was very quick. The room was super cool and cosy. The view from the room was the best amongst all. They provided us with recommendations for tours, since my wife is pregnant. We booked couple of them for reasonable price too. Unfortunately, our wallet got pick pocketed in the same evening. We were worried, since all of our money, bank cards and IDs were in the stolen wallet. Knowing that, the staff went extra mile to cancel our tour which were already booked, refunded our entire money, so that we could stay in Hanoi for couple more days without any hassle. Ms. Lisa also provided us with a free airport drop off, which shows great professionalism, care and empathy. We felt like we were given extra care and compassion throughout our stay. We will definitely recommend Hanoi House to everyone who plans to visit Hanoi for a memorable lovely stay and journey. Thanks a lot Ms. Lisa once again.

the airco had maintenance issues (strange loud repeating sounds, water dripping,and besides the unit was also poorly placed.

good helpful friendly staff, good breakfast, great location especially for nightlife . also good and helpful booking service and Tours desk (although they marked up the busticket price with about 40% for making the reservation). pillows and matrass excellent (no plastic covers which is greatly appreciated.
