Taxis can not enter the narrow lane La Cascada is in and they tend to be a bit random choosing your drop off point. Usually this is just a case of being dropped off on the wrong side of the railway tracks. But not a problem, just phone the hotel and one of the receptionists will run to wherever you are to help you with your bags and take you to La Cascada. After that the hotel will be very easy to find!

La Cascada is an oasis of calm and cleanliness down a busy narrow lane in Hanoi's old city in the heart of the market area. All of the reception team speak excellent english and try hard to help their guests with whatever queries and problems they may have. I have never seen a hotel team try so hard to help their guests. They are a great source of advice about the local area. Security is excellent, overnight the front door is locked with the overnight receptionist stationed at the desk to help guests in and out etc. We walked around the hotel area late at night over our 3 stays and found the area to be very safe; especially the lane La Cascada is in. My wife says La Cascada has got the best/cleanest bedlinen in Vietnam!

This hotel is well-located just within the walls of the old quarter. We loved the location. Be aware that your taxi or Grab will not be able to drive up to the hotel as it is in a narrow alley. We did have a bit of difficulty finding it until a local person pointed us in the right direction. Although the train runs right by the hotel, we had no issues sleeping. Our family room was spacious and exceptionally clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

There isn't anything I disliked, but maybe the location was sometimes difficult for the Grab drivers to find, but the staff was also helpful with that as well.

I loved the hospitality. The staff was sooo kind and I really enjoyed being so close to everything, but also on a small local street made it feel very homey. Everyone was helpful and I even spent an hour or so talking to one of the staff jus because she was so school.

Nice quiet place to stay. Probably the only place in Hanoi where you won't here the traffic! Staff are beyond helpful and so nice. They asked about your day every day and will help with everything.

The staff the where great! Keep it up ladys 😉 Helpt with everything that you needed, the brought my bags up while I went into the city centre, the room was clean a hot shower with a good volume on it! And a comfy bed! What else does one need more! Price wise for this place perfect!

There was a ticking sound on our floor, maybe a board that's loose and making a sound in the wind. I loved it because it sounded like rain to me and made me sleep like a baby, but I can imagine some people might find it disturbing.

Super friendly staff, always ready to help, give advise in a pleasant way. We loved our room on the 7th floor, a view over the city. Cute alley where the hotel is located, full of people selling kitchenware.

It was a little confusing finding the hotel, but that in itself is a gem because you feel so local. The location is so unique and I loved walking through the alleyways once I figured out which street to go down. The fluorescent sign outside the hotel was also extremely helpful.

Wish we could’ve stayed longer here!! The staff were SO friendly, and the location is just perfect for exploring the city and the night markets. The terrace view of the train tracks is so cute. Despite the closeness of the tracks, we couldn’t hear the train while sleeping at night.

We had a wonderful time here. The moment we came in we received the most warming welcome. They explained everything so well whether it was the neighborhood, tour activities or the hotel stay. they were so patient and helpful. All the people who work there were so nice and so sweet, always smiling and very kindly spoken. The communication was amazing, every step of the way with all the questions we had whether we were in ha long bay or ha giang loop they answered all our questions and helped us through everything. The tours booked through them was the greatest experience! Especially ha giang loop, what an amazing company we went with and wonderful people. The bed was great too, they had an extra soft mattress on top of the bed which was so nice instead of the firm beds in other hotels. The rooms was exactly what it looked like on booking.com. The security of the hotel at night was great too, so kind and helpful. i will definitely come back here! Thank you soo much Rosie, QT, and the other beautiful kind woman for a great stay! I really appreciate everything you did for us!

The mattress was too firm for my liking but that depends on personal preference. Solo female guests might find the walk up the quiet lane to the hotel a bit uncomfortable at night. However, the lights of the hotel are welcoming and there is always a friendly face waiting there to greet you

The staff at the hotel were especially welcoming and helpful, lovely people. The small hotel is on the edge of the Old Quarter and is quiet, without any street noise. The lane where it is located is fascinating: a market street for kitchen goods, bustling by day, quiet at night.

Like it all!

Location was amazing. In the old town down kitchen ware alley 😆. Opened our balcony right onto the train station- it was like our own personal train street! The staff were so so caring and friendly and happy to help with anything- called airlines for us, booked tickets to puppet show, organised taxis. Clean and Comfortable!

Lovely lovely, trust worthy and reliable people. Very clean rooms. Standard is like a good 3 Star european hotel. Location within the city is very central but still quiet. They offer tours to different places in the north of Vietnam too. Highly recommend the 3 day motorbike tour to Ha Giang Loop. Once in a lifetime experience. Spectacular. Well organized by pros who know what they are doing. You will travel in a group of approx 20 people though.

Everything! From the most amazing service from every member of staff, to location, room, balcony. It is 5 minutes walk to the beer street, market and the lake. We have also booked our Ha Giang Loop tour which was recommended by Rosie and Michelle and we absolutely loved it. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff there and always helpful and smiling. We have stayed over the Christmas period and they even left us a Christmas card in the room and little gifts when we left. Absolutely loved the place and cannot recommend it enough!
