I would have liked to cruise around the islands as opposed to be anchored just thirty minutes from Hang Long and then ferried by tender to the surrounding area. The location was very busy with other boats and because of this it was noisy.

The excursions were very well planned, and Mr Lam was an excellent and very informative host. The food was very good. The ambience of the ship and its rooms was first class

The selected route for two nights and three days was very short. We could only see a small part of the Ha Long Bay. The wine was really good, but pretty expensive.

The ship was very nice! The room was clean and spacious. There was a bar on the top of the boat that provided comfortable seating and magnificent views of Halong Bay.

I wish we could have spent more time relaxing on the boat. We booked the two day cruise but, other than the evening/night, you are off the boat most of the time. The boat takes you to a spot and anchors. A different smaller boat picks you up and takes you on tours. It was all lovely but it’s busy. I would have liked more relaxing time on the boat. The tours are great but you can book day cruises from Ha Long or Cat Ba that do the same thing for a fraction of the price. We paid the big bucks for the beautiful boat, but you hardly spend any time on it. I think they all work that way though. I’d like to do it again in better weather. If so, I’d look for a boat that lets you stay onboard. Next time, I would book last minute to ensure getting good weather. There are A LOT of cruises and they were nowhere near being sold out the day before we left. That said, even with poor weather, it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

We spent a lot of time comparing this boat to others. It was hard to choose a cruise because there are so many, but we all thought that we made the right choice and would definitely book the same boat again. The entire outside wall was floor to ceiling windows. The view was spectacular. It had a large balcony with table and chairs but, since it was overcast and rainy, we really enjoyed the huge window. The view was spectacular. Even when full, it is not at all crowded.

Our only minor comment was to provide some more drinking water at meal times. Other than that we can't fault our experience. Well done and thank you to the Hermes Cruises team.

The staff were amazing, so attentive and friendly. The boat was lovely, and the food was fabulous. The itinerary was a good balance between activities and opportunities to relax and enjoy the bay. We are on our honeymoon and the team went out of their way to help us celebrate, we felt very special. We did the 3D/2N option and so glad we did to fully make the most of the opportunity. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.

The care, compassion and dedication provided by Tommy and his staff was outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for a better team of staff during our stay. We booked a junior suite for 2 nights and the facilities were very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend staying 2 nights as it allowed us to settle into the trip. The food served throughout the trip was exceptional.

Boat is clean and in great condition. Well stocked with everything you would need. Happy hour on top of the boat deck was beautiful with the surrounding sceneries. Tommy and the crew did an excellent job. All the meals were well good. Excursions were pre-planned, so we just show up on time and join the group. Cave hiking and kayaking was fun although can get a little crowded at some part. Good experience regardless.

The water takes a long time to heat in the jacuzzi so we didn’t end up using it but in all honestly they warned us before so we knew about it.

Great charter with lovely staff and activities. We were offered the presidential suite for a small upgrade fee which we ended up going ahead with and I am glad we did as the view and private balcony and jacuzzi were so worth it. The activities were balanced and the food was good. The staff is very cautious about delivering a great experience and they try their best.

Excellent service from the Hermes crew and staff. Room was spacious and bathroom fantastic for a short 2 night cruise. Weather was average and so no good for swimming... so lucky to have a nice ship, great food. Still managed to get in all the sites!

The drinks are not included, which is something I was aware of. However, they will wait 30-45min into the meals (except breakfast) to bring out the free mineral water, as a way to make you purchase the canned one before hand… I find this quite exaggerated. I understand making cocktails, beers, sodas ect. not included, but I find it ridiculous to have a buffer time to bring out the mineral water as a way to oblige you to pay for drinks. When we went to our first activity, they were handing out waterproof phone covers, which seemed to be a nice extra for the kayaking activity, but ended up being up to purchase without prior notice. I think this should be stated more clearly. Lastly, I based my choice of cruise on the itinerary and once we got on the boat, we found out that the actual itinerary wasn’t matching the one on their website… I think this should be updated regularly, as it is of course a crucial element when choosing a cruise.

The boat is really nice, big windows in the restaurant to enjoy the beautiful view of the bay, and amazing rooms with balcony and jacuzzi bath. The dinners were delicious, really really high level for the food and presentation. We did 2 nights and the activities were well organized. Most of the time we managed to be the only or one of a few groups during an activity (well timed) which was really nice, as often you risk being somewhere during high traffic moments and that inevitably takes away from the experience. The overall program was well structured as well. Full of activities, but also considering some time to relax. The staff is simply amazing! Lẫm the tour guide is the best, super welcoming and kind! Tommy and Jack, the managers, were also very enjoyable! I would overall recommend Hermes as we had a lovely stay!
