Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRather than a window, the bathroom has a hole in the wall covered by a curtain. It means there is a little privacy lacking when using the bathroom. There were a few small ants coming and going but this is very common and wasn't much of an issue. Couple of broken bulbs so bedside lighting didn't work but, again, wasn't a big deal.
The room was big, comfortable and clean. The staff were really friendly and there's a lovely little coffee shop below. Easy walking distance to many popular tourist sites, or simple to jump in a grab.

I really liked the staff at the hotel best. They went above & beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I also liked the location of the hotel, close to many things in Ho Chi Minh city, yet tucked away on a quiet street.

Very warm and nice stuff, cozy room, lots of plants, no insects (only few microants), cozy cafe on the ground floor with airconditioner, excellent egg coffee and other drinks.

United StatesThe beds are uncomfortable and there was also a strong sewage smell in the room after it rained. I appreciated that the staff were accommodating in moving me to a room with slightly more comfortable beds than my original room.
The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The decor is super cute, especially having a swing in the room!

New ZealandWhile the room was great it was lacking a few basic amenities like hand towels, and a kettle would have made it more homely.
The studio room was beautiful and a great place to relax after busy days exploring. We loved the location as it was an easy walk/Grab to different sights and close to lots of amazing food. The coffee shop downstairs made the mornings super easy as well.

United KingdomIn the bathroom the shower and wash basin were close together so this area was wet after showering and the water spread to the toilet area. Be aware that the tiles get slippery when wet.
Lovely appartment with big beds. Lots of space. Loved the hammock chair. We had a small patio. Situated above a cafe so can easily buy breakfast. To find this place look for the Coffee Hut, you have to go through the cafe and up the stairs to check in. Quiet area not far from some of the major attractions.

New ZealandCommunication not easy for us with no Vietnamese as we met no strong English speakers. Manageable situation with friendly staff.
No breakfast provided but close to cafes for food. Spacious room, comfortable bed and very quiet. There was a bench and sink with an electric kettle but no plates/bowls/glasses or simple utensils. Well located in the centre of the city. Very good value for money.

AustraliaWe only stay for 2 nights so couldn't find anything that we don't like.
-Location - Tuck away in an alley, peace and quite but close to shop, restaurants and market -Spacious, clean room, 2 big double beds side by side become 1 huge big bed. The swing is a great feature. - In-house laundry service for only a few $/kg, very convenience. -Mini mart is only a few minutes away. -Coffee shop on ground floor for coffee lover.

SingaporeThere is no place/hook to hang your belongings in the small toilet. As part of the design of the wall separating the room and the toilet, there is a hole which has a small curtain covering it. I guess it's supposed to be romantic but I would appreciate some privacy when I'm in the toilet.
Location is good, it's part of district 1 but it is in a small alley, hence it's not noisy. There's a cafe underneath the accom, so it's very easy to direct drivers to the landmark. Room is quite big for the price that you pay. No lift but it is okay if you have a small luggage.
