Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaThe I Am Saigon hotel truly became a revelation for me! The most vivid impression was meeting the manager, Kim—her warm reception and readiness to assist with any issue made me feel not like a guest but rather like a dear friend. The hotel proved to be a real haven, where one can escape the noise of the big city and enjoy tranquility. The shower in the room was simply splendid: modern, convenient, and especially valuable, refreshing after a hot day. The breakfasts, although not the most hearty, were prepared with soul and provided a pleasant start to the new day. The morning meal charged me with energy and positive emotions, which was invaluable for starting a day full of discoveries. The hotel is an oasis of comfort and peace, where every corner is thoughtfully designed for maximum relaxation. I love the spaciousness and light in the rooms, and the morning breeze on the terrace, where breakfast is served, fills me with new strength. It was important for me to feel the local flair, and the hotel offered this opportunity by being located in a quiet area, which allowed me to immerse myself deeper into the life of the city. I also want to mention the availability of Wi-Fi, which is important for planning my trips to local attractions. All this is just a bit of what makes I Am Saigon such a special place for me.

Australiathe shower pressure wasn’t great but did the job. the room heats up quick in the Saigon heat but when you get the aircon or fans (which are quite loud )working the room is comfortable.
lovely staff who helped us at any opportunity, the breakfast made for us was delicious. the pool and gardens are beautiful and a great place to relax after a busy day in Saigon. the location is very local and would be good for those wanting to experience non touristy vietnam, the neighbourhood was also safe and it was relatively easy to find food and stores like 7/11 for water.

United StatesThis is a wonderful place to stay and if you could experience it for yourself, I am sure you won't regret it. Iamsaigon is a tranquil oasis in Ho Chi Minh City. It’s off the beaten track with an endless amount of options for authentic food and the perfect choice for the traveller ready to immerse into the everyday life of the locals. It is a truly peaceful homestay which is hosted by a lovely, friendly couple that do their utmost to help you enjoy and cherish the daily life in this bustling city. The beautiful staff that help them will always greet you with a smile no matter how busy they are, which might seem trivial, but it is nice, and you can't help but greet them and smile in return. What could be nicer than staying in a place where people are smiling and friendly all the time? Even before arriving, we got a sweet message from our host Kim who wished us safe travels. Her note made us feel so welcome in Vietnam and set the tone for our entire trip. We got a personal reception and could always turn to Kim and her lovely staff for recommendations and support. A traditional Vietnamese breakfast is lovingly prepared and served every morning, and the presentation and quality is just amazing. Gourmet-style street food served every day (not Sunday) with your choice of beverage, cà phê sữa đá is the only logical choice in my opinion, is a great way to start the day! The menu is different every day and I take great pleasure in sitting and waiting to see what is on the menu for that day. The simple things in life are often the best. Free laundry also a hug bonus for traveller those days. As an aesthetically sensitive person, it’s generally a struggle to find stays that are easy on the eyes without being flamboyant. Kim’s homestay, however, is absolutely stunning. It’s lush with all the greenery and has beautiful and simple decor and soulful details. When the front door closes behind you and shuts out the busy city, how's the serenity?

AustraliaOnly personal preference - the mattress and pillows were a little firm for my liking.
The home stay is a little paradise in the city. The pool and communal areas are great, Kim is an amazing host who will help with anything you need and we liked the location being out of the tourist area. The room was comfortable and the shower is amazing.

Loved to stay at IamSaigon because of the friendliness and service offered by Kim. The location outside the tourist area was exactly what we hoped for, to be able to wander in an authentic Saigon area. The room is simply decorated, bed was good (not very large) and the shower has complete glass walls, nice to have dry floor for the rest of the bathroom. Aircon and fan did a great job. Wifi is good. Water and mini fridge in the room (several supermarkets in walking distance). The common area (breakfast terrace, hammocks etc) are lovely and quiet when we were there. There are trees and greenery everywhere making it like an oasis. The swimming pool is amazingly refreshing. Contact with Kim through whatsapp was very handy, always fast and kind.

NetherlandsWe enjoyed the swimming pool and the tasty breakfasts (only one option but very nice). Also we stayed here since it was closed to the airport and we were allowed to stay around the pool after check-out the last day. Staff was really friendly and also supplied us with a list of good places to eat (which is nice since to location is outside the center and tripadvisor is not really working).

Chinathe experience of living here is amazing. it is a typical 5 floors house in saigon. many beautiful trees and flowers. if you love swimming you will enjoy the outdoor swimming pool just in the yard or you can just dip in the water, it is really refreshing. the room is quite nice with a small balcony and the decorations are quite vietnamese style. the staff are so friendly and helpful. the smiles are alway on thier faces. they offer amazing breakfasts. you can cook here by yourself if you like. they provide all the kitchen stuff and facilities you need. there are washing mashines dryers and fridge on the ground floor. by the way you will have a small fridge in your own room. there is a spacious common area near the pool with many tables and chairs and flowers. you can have meals or get together with friends there. they have some long-term tenants and some visitors all around the world. most of them are Europeans. they are teachers engineers even artist. one of them has been living there more than 4 years. you will be really into the wonderful sceneries amazing breakfasts and international and multicultural atmosphere. sometimes i feel that i just come back to my university life in sweden. i met some old friends and i knew some new friends. we shared food drinks and interesting experiences. we went to the street market the local restaurants and cafes. it is really incredible. you should go there. sometimes KIm the landlady give dinner parties, you must go you will never regret. oh there is a small library and a fitness room the ground floor just near the pool. if you want to go somewhere. you can ask the staff or the tenant in the house ask a grab(motorcycle or private car) for you. the prices are reasonable. ok

GermanyNot bad, but be aware that you will have to pay your stay directly when you arrive and the staff is not always around so on sundays there is no breakfast.
The homestay is pretty close to the airport. We had a flight delay but the communication with Kim and Huan was really good so we could check-in late. The room was very clean and had air conditioning. The common are is lovely and you can hang out at the pool and read. We had a lovely breakfast with coffee, banana pancakes and fresh fruits. If you like to prepare a snack there is also a small kitchen area.

GermanyThe homestay is extremely well organized and has a calm and relaxing atmosphere even though it’s quite big and many people stay here. You can find two/three shared kitchen areas, a big common area with the homestay‘s beautiful pool. Our room was small but definitely enough space for a few days. There even is a small workout area you can use freely. We felt very welcomed and taken care of during our stay. Late checkout until 8pm was possible for a 400k fee which was very convenient.

AustraliaWe felt like we were quite a way from the centre of the city, but this was compensated for by being in a quieter location and closeness to the airport, so it really wasn’t much of an issue.
We loved the greenery everywhere, the pool, the traditional Vietnamese breakfasts and the lovely staff. It felt very homely, which was delightful after the craziness of HCM city streets. Kim was very helpful with helping us plan our visit to the Mekong Delta and suggesting we use Grab for getting around. She directed us to the amazing bird cafe and antique cafe to fill in some time on our last morning. We thoroughly enjoyed both of these places. We would never have known about them without Kim’s suggestion.
