Super friendly team of staff that always made me feel welcome - special shout out to Moon who was always happy to help - whether it was booking a taxi, city tours/ recommendations etc. The location was great - 5 min walk to Bui Vien Street but wasn't noisy. It was very central, walkable to all the main attractions. Room was clean, good aircon. Breakfast was yum!

There is a rooster in the neighbourhood that might wake you up in the morning. And our room was not cleaned during the 5 nights we stayed but it wasn't an issue for us.

The staff was super welcoming and friendly, the location is great. You get a fresh breakfast everyday too (options are quite limited though). Overall a great value for money, our room was not the biggest but very comfortable.

Shower didn't go pure cold when I needed it coming in from 38degrees, but that's minor. Nothing I didn't like.

My bed was so comfy and large. Aircon good, shower great pressure. Sometimes didn't go as cold as I'd like. All of the staff I met were so nice and genuine and very helpful with any need. Breakfast was very nice, fruit plate and a choice of mains, and lovely iced coffee. The location is great for the walking pub street place if you are interested in that but with no noticeable noise from that area, also handy for central market, Ben thranh etc. brilliant value for money Nice to be able to refill your water bottle from a large bottle to save on plastic a bit

The hostel's location is fantastic, just 250 meters down an alleyway to the vibrant center of Bui Vien Street nightlife, yet it's surprisingly quiet with no excessive noise. I would like to extend a special thank you to Moon for her exceptional help, kindness, and courtesy when we arrived late due to a delayed flight. Both Moon and the Doorman were fantastic throughout our 4-night stay.

We booked a balcony room but this literally meant a table with a single chair outside your room in an internal hallway - not a big deal to us but it’s not what it seemed in the pictures

The staff were so lovely, the soup at breakfast was delicious, and the room was comfortable.

The staff at Jan Hostel were very friendly and helpful, particularly Moon who went out of her way with helping us to arrange an airport transfer in Hanoi. The breakfast was also great and the location was quiet whilst still being central.

We stayed 2 nights at Jan Hostel and as per the reviews it did not disappoint. Rooms are so clean and the Bed was really comfortable, breakfast was good also. The owners (Jan & Lee) and the staff were amazing. The young lady Moon was just so lovely, she really is the jewel in the crown and if you have the pleasure of meeting her, which I’m sure you will, she will make your stay just that little more brighter. She made us feel so special and we will miss her dearly. Thank you so much Moon and we hope to see you again very soon.

it s a cozy property , central , interesting located. the staff was helpfull , friendly , especially Hellena ( a super nice , pretty and incredible friendly girl ) i strongly recommended especially for solo travelers .

The party mall is quite close so regarding on where your room is located it might get a bit noisy during night time.

At first, we had room 303 which wasn't quite isolated from the noise but as soon as we told them, they changed the room and moved our things while we were out. The new room was just perfect!

The location is great! It's close to the party street but you don't notice the noise at night because the rooms are well isolated. Jan and the rest of the staff were lovely, always trying to make our stay the best they could. They helped us with the taxis to the airport, how to move into the city and even changed our room when we asked for it without any problem.

the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Jan allowed us to check-in early and gave us a bigger room because my friend was injured and Moon helped us to book a bus to our next location. The breakfast was delicious and the location was very central but still incredibly quiet.

The shower head was a little hard to manoeuvre, but it was nothing to be worried about considering how immaculate everything else was.

The location is perfect for any age, with Bui Vien (Walking Street) just at the end of the Alley Way. You would think it would be loud because of how close it is, but you can’t hear a thing!

During breakfast, there were flies in the dining area and there was no air-con inside. The wifi in the room had poor connection at times.

When I arrived, I met Moon. She was a helpful staff. If I can rate her service, it would be 11 out of 10. The breakfast were good. I strongly recommend the "famous noodle" and egg noodle. For drinks, I like the white coffee best. Black coffee was quite good too. Fruits were provided. I was staying at the ground level. The room was clean and tidy. The toilet was ok. Towels were provided. The location was good and easy to visit various popular places. I met Lee and Jan, the hosts of the hostel. And Lee introduced me a lot of food places to go. Do check out Quán Ngon. On my birthday, Jan, Moon and Lee's sister surprised me with a cake, flower and fruits. Appreciated that :) I have been several parts of Vietnam over the last 6 years. And I must say that this is my favourite accommodation in Vietnam. Highly recommended!

Having to leave at the end of my stay.

The place was very clean and in a great location for seeing the city and very close to the party street but just far away enough to not hear the noise from the hostel. The staff were amazing so nice and friendly and helpful they really took care of us, we had breakfast included and had a big plate of fruit and a drink as well as the breakfast we ordered it was lovely. We will definitely stay there again.
