The phonic insulation was inexistent. We were lucky that we didn't have very noisy neighbours but we did get woken up early one day by the speakers of the government...

Very charming property with very helpful and friendly owners. A bit out of the way but possibilities to rent scooters made things easy, especially as traffic is milder in cat ba than in other places in Vietnam. A great bar - binh's motorcycle club - with great staff very close.

Fabulous accommodation with all the basics that you need. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We hired scooters so we were able to get around the island. Breakfast was decent and set us up for the day. The lodge was big with 2 double beds - we had the family one. A bed upstairs and one downstairs. The bathroom had a shower with good water pressure. Eco friendly toiletries. There was also air conditioning.

Myself and my partner had a wonderful stay. The staff were kind and accommodating. The rooms were lovely and the bed really comfortable. The food was excellent and the moped hire was super cheap for the day, around $4. Enjoyed being out of town and in the countryside. Definitely recommend

Everything - we had an amazing stay, the hosts were so accommodating, organised trips which were excellent value for money, organised our transfers off of the island and were always so friendly and happy to help. The property is beautiful and hiring mopeds was super easy and made life much easier due to the location. The lodges were spotless and we were provided with free water daily in the rooms. Thank you so much for a brilliant stay!

I wish the rooms were more comfortable, unfurtunately the bathrooms is not very functional, water is splashing in all directions but not at you, leaking between wooden wall panels to the room. During the rain water also got inside through outside walls. In general it was clean, but I have dust allergy and the items in mini bar were covered in layer of dust.

The accommodation is as beautiful as in the pictures - the huts are truly picture-perfect. The hosts are very kind and helpful - they arranged trip for us, transport and gave tips on how to spend our day on exploring the island. There is a scoorter rental in very good price. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The location is a bit far from the town, but its nice and calm. In the room there are all necessary toiletries, daily bottle of water and some snacks available in minibar. There is also a super cute puppy at the location, who was definitely a great breakfast companion :)

Nothing, was more than we expected it to be.

It is really worth it to stay there for a couple of nights. Special little houses, cosy and with very comfortable beds. We slept very well. Of course it is not a five star luxury resort but in this little island we recommend a homestay anyway, because you need the good advises of the inhabitants. People are incredibly nice and helped us with everything. Motorbikes, haircuts, last minute drive to town, best food…wow! You should come here! By the way: no mosquitos in march, at least not for us! Wasn’t too warm but perfect for hiking!

I can't rave about this place enough, it was just what I needed after being in the cities on the mainland. I booked the night prior to my arrival. The owners were so delightful and welcoming once I arrived. I never expect English to be spoken, but it definitely helps when I don't speak the native language. I wish I remember the owner's name but he was very helpful with recommendations, setting up tours, getting a scooter and also organizing my ride off the island to catch my flight home. Because this homestay is not in the main town (~ 15mins away), you'll need a scooter to get around (you'll definitely want it to explore. So fun!) but there are a few restaurants and bars close by including a beach. My house/hut was great! I had a view of the farm land and in the distance, the water. The second night I did have neighbors which I could hear their conversation while in my place when we were both in the rooms, which wasn't ideal but it's much better then scooter/car horns, and it's probably only that way because the area is so quiet.

Great stay! The huts are really pretty and we liked the location. It is a bit further from the busy centre, so you do have to take a taxi or motorbike to get there. But it’s easy to rent a bike and also taxi was cheap. Felt like we were still in Vietnam compared to the more touristic Main Street downtown..

Unique accommodation in the bungalows that were very comfortable and well kept, would have been better if they were a little further apart, but overall was great. The food was delicious and as fresh as could be. We were able to hire motorbikes and ride into town and we could book our boat tour at JoyStay.

Minor inconvenience: similar to many bathrooms in Vietnam, the shower head was close to the toilet bowl and sink so everything stayed wet for a while.

Staff was always friendly, gave us tips for visiting, helped us rent a scooter and organize taxis. There is a little restaurant as well, we enjoyed our lunch when we got there. The bungalow and bed were comfortable. Location is out of town in a quieter area, which was what we wanted. Taking the motorbike to town was about 15 min. The island has such scenic roads! PS rooms have a heater and A/C depending on the weather which is nice!
