Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe had to move on the second day due to a sewer smell coming from our bathroom. They were very accommodating to get us into a new room. And my husband and I both had trouble staying connected to the WiFi. Other than that it was a good stay.
The room was very clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. 500m from the bus station.

Super helpful staff. We needed to go from Soc Trang to Can Tho with a bus and they called for us to sort out the situation! They also offered us milk tea while waiting in the lobby!!

United KingdomOur original booked room was not properly made up from the previous guest, some things were overlooked like crumpled bedsheet (not changed) and half empty water bottle in the refrigerator
Upon checking into our room we discovered that it had not been cleaned properly from the previous guest and we complained to the reception. We were pleased that the receptionist was sufficiently empowered to change our room and an upgrade too without too much fuss.

There was a male receptionist who spoke English and guided us very enthusiastically to buy train tickets to Con Dao. Also booked a cheap taxi for us to go to Tran De pier, very helpful. The room is new and very clean, you should book a room with a balcony for more comfort though

AustraliaAs we stayed on two separate occasions I’ll provide comments about the different rooms we stayed in and hopefully that helps. The room layout are as follows: 101 and 102 - standard room with queen bed and no window/view (2 people) 103 and 304 - deluxe room with window/view and balcony, with queen bed and double bed (3 people) Room size. For the standard rooms whilst it did the job I did find it to be a tad small and somewhat claustrophobic without having any windows of sorts. No natural light into the room so you’re relying on the light switch. It’s “cozy” with two people but that’s borderline getting in each others faces. For the deluxe room I found that 103 was a much better room for a number of reasons: bed layout meant room being more spacious, bathroom layout was better (will touch on this further). Whilst 304 was on a higher level with better view I would trade this for the space of 103. Bathroom. I understand it’s quite common for Vietnamese households to have a small bathroom space that’s a toilet and shower space, but given how new the hotel is I would’ve thought the bathrooms would a bit more spacious. This is applicable to rooms 101 and 102, so could be for the standard rooms. These bathrooms were small and had the shower over the toilet, which I found got quite annoying as once after a shower the toilet seat/general area would be wet. As there’s not a lot of room in the bathroom it’s difficult to get changed in the bathroom. To add to this there are no hooks behind the bathroom door, and the only hook/shelf in the bathroom was right where the shower head is. A bit counter productive. For the deluxe rooms - room 304 had a pungent smell that was difficult to get rid off, which we concluded might’ve been from the drainage. The bathroom in 103 was exceptional, and actually had a glass that separates the shower/shower head from the toilet - so no problem with that being wet after a shower.
My family and I visited Soc Trang on two separate occasions, and stayed at Net Viet Hotel on both occasions. Firstly, the location is fantastic. Close to the city centre and an easy taxi ride away to the local markets and eateries. A small shopping centre next door with a supermarket, pharmacy, cinema and some restaurants (Korean and Vietnamese hotpot). Busy enough during the day, but quiet enough in the night if you like your peace and quiet. A Gongcha right downstairs and gelato place next door, with plenty of outdoor seating available. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. On some occasions they assisted us with ordering taxis or even food services for delivery. Always ready to greet with a friendly smile.

SwedenAbsolutely nothing!
The female reception staff was one of the nicest and most helpful people I have ever met in a hotel in Vietnam! Despite not having a common language we communicated excellent and patiently with the help of translation Apps. On arrival I was upgraded to a room with a balcony which was really nice. The room is not really big but very clean and comfortable. There's a big comfortable bed, good WiFi, clean bathroom with an extremely powerful shower with hot water. Despite facing the main road it was very quiet at night. The hotel is located in a perfect location, walking distance to the local busstation and the Superdong office for ferries to Con Dao. Excellent morning market nearby, many restaurants, cafes and food stands in the evening very near to the hotel. Supermarket nearby. On my departure did the receptionist organize a seat in shared taxi to Can Tho which was very comfortable with door to door transportation and not more expensive than the Futa bus. She made sure that my driver knew where to drop me off in Can Tho.

SwedenThe room had not been cleaned for a long time, it was very messy and dirty. The utensils and coffee cups were also not changed, even had stains still on them. Dead ants below the mattress. Quite noisy corridors. However, had it only been cleaned we would have been happy with our experience.
The receptionist was very nice and helpful even though she did not speak English! Even ordered a early morning taxi for us for the Phu Quoc express ferry leaving for Con Dao Island. Nice looking room, with fresh linen and towels.
