Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

VietnamJamie and his staff has welcomed us in their little paradise. We loved the calm and quite beach to escape the noisy city. On the beach there is enough space with hammocks and a lot of shadow places. Also the rooms are clean and we liked that there is plenty of free water in the room.

United KingdomNothing to dislike everything was perfect.
We loved Kiki it's a little haven tucked away between the ocean and mountains. Our bungalow had everything we needed, a hot shower, comfy bed and it was immaculately clean. The onsite bar and restaurant was super chill and served great food, beer and wine. Jamie was an amazing host, gave us lots of information about the island, arranged a motorbike and booked us onto an awesome snorkelling trip with Tommie Tours – which I’d 100% recommend.

United StatesThe ocean in front of the resort wasn’t as clear as 25km south, but the small size of the Kiki made up for it.
We chose The Kiki Coconut based on booking.com reviews & it did not disappoint. It was perfect in every way. Our host, Jamie was a pleasure & so accommodating. We missed our flight connection & he stayed up late waiting for us & had a car to bring us from the airport to the Kiki Coconut at no charge!! It is located on the east side of the island, which is the quieter & cleaner side, which is why we chose it. There are only 4 bungalows on the property, which was perfect. Our bungalow was spacious, clean, & comfortable. You could watch the sunrise while still lying in bed! The menu was diverse & the food good. We met people from other nearby resorts who came for food & drink, as anyone can come for that! Jamie was always there to help, whether it was getting a scooter rental for us, a taxi, or giving us suggestions for things to do/see on the island. If you are looking for a quiet & beautiful spot on Phu Quoc, this is your place!!

PortugalOur flights were changed and we had to add another night on the island. Sadly Kiki was fully booked, so we couldn't stay one more night :(
We booked Kiki Coconut for the last two days of our Vietnam trip on the back of all the incredible reviews, and it certainly delivered. Spacious bungalows that open right onto the sand, just a few steps away from the water, a huge choice of sunbeds, hammocks, hanging chairs, sofas, and, of course, a bar... basically how you'd picture a corner of paradise. We didn't do much exploring after an unsuccessful attempt at riding a scooter (thanks for this Jamie!), but still managed to fit in some of the brilliant recommendations using local drivers. The staff is so sweet and Jamie is literally the most accommodating host I've ever met. The food is excellent and the bar is something of a local meeting point, with ice-cold beer and plenty of conversation.

United KingdomThis a small scale hotel (only 4 rooms) in the remote part of the island. The staff are very friendly and relaxed. Jamie, the English owner, is incredibly nice and helpful. He helped us with taxis, and motorbike rental for the day. The food was nice. Each bungalow look straight onto the sea and sunrise.

VietnamNothing much to complain about, I would lower the price just a teeny bit relative to the location, as I found similar quality and cost in the city center. But there's a certain charm that deserves the premium price and the fact that it was fully booked on my requested dates a month ahead must really speak for its value.
Amazing owner and host. Felt at home right away. Very patient, responsive, professional, accommodating, welcoming and friendly. My 2 nights felt like a week, comfort wise. Its beachfront aesthetic outdoes the pictures, it looks and feels surreal, the type of resort you see in the movies. The beach bar is a fantastic place to socialize. Very surprised by the quality of the Bungalow, it had everything. Toothpaste and brushes, hot water heater, good linens, kettle, tea, slippers, and a fridge! They really cater to you but still maintain that rustic old fashioned sensibility. It's like glamping. There are vegan options on the menu and off-menu. Very rare on an island that's usually all about seafood and grilling meat. Delicious food, by the way. Dog-friendly resort, allowed my dog off-leash without too much issue. Thank you for being patient with my dog and keeping an eye on her while I was on a tour.

Jamie is a top host and will help you to plan any jaunts you have in mind. Nothing was too much trouble. Real laid back off beat feel to the resort on the quieter side of the island. Would have styed longer, but the resort was fully booked.

We finished our trip in Vietnam with 2 days at Kiki. It was perfect after a few hectic weeks. Gorgeous beach bungalow overlooking the sea. At night you can hear the waves and local wildlife in bed. Get up early for sunrise! The menu is fantastic, spoilt for choice. Jamie really looks after all his guests to make them feel welcome and at home. We had no issues with getting taxis and whilst staying there visited the waterfalls and did a trek.

Austriait’s quite far from everything and if you don’t ride a scooter, grab won’t go all the way there to get you, so you depend on relatively pricey private drivers. you can’t just pop out to a shop/restaurant/for a stroll as there is nothing there. As I was looking for a quiet resort stay to rest, it was perfect for me. but it is definitely a point to consider if you like going out/ being independent
a beautiful, tranquil mini-resort with all the amenities you need, and super kind staff. a private beach, lovely cabins, fantastic food - perfect for a chilled vacation.

VietnamRoom: doesnt have so many things like TV, bath tub ..., in exchange you will fully concenstrate on the stay and the asmostphere. This kind of room helps you "feel" more enjoyment, like "thow redundant things, so you have more "room" for the needed things". I have practiced Minimalism for 4 years and this room matches it criterias. Service/food: good, cant complain. The food was really good actually. The resort will change the menu next 8-May, more good dishes to come. Staff: If you re lucky, there are coconuts on the tree and you can tell Jamie the owner that "coconuts are fresh, so good" (kind of hahaha). He will let you cut it down for free - if you can. =]]] the other people like Cherry and chef, cleaner are so friendly. Need anything? Just ask them. View: well, you have your own beach.

United StatesWhat to say about our stay at the Kiki Coconut Beach Resort? It was a fantastic stay, and all the positive reviews are accurate. It is a very simple place in the lovely part of the island. No drunk tourist and loud music... just sound of waves, birds, and geicos... The bungalow is on a beach, plenty of hammocks, sunbeds, chairs... The sea is warm and shallow. Sometimes it feels like you are in the bathtub which actually I like. The water is clear and a little private beach is clean. Before our arrival, Jamie (the owner) arranged the car to pickup us from the airport, helped to rent a motorbike, and even got two local SIM cards for us. And during our stay he helped a lot with other stuff we need for our comfortable stay. Since the breakfast was included in our stay, I was worried if the resort can provide a vegan food for us. Luckily, the vegan menu was developed and we can't be more happy with the fresh vegan food that was cooked specifically for us. If you value a quiet gateway and living in the family-like run place, then you will be happy at the Kiki Coconut Beach Resort. Highly recommend!
