La Belle Maison is a cozy, small boutique hotel well located in the center of the old town of Hanoi. It has great charm, cleanliness and very spacious rooms with an enormous bath. The service provided by Sebastian. Alex, Daniel, and the whole team is outstanding and goes far beyond the norm. Breakfast is exceptional and prepared to your specifications. This boutique hotel is a little gem in the heart of a buzzing city, and we recommend it to all travelers.

Super nice staffs, they are always ready to help you with everything with their best. With their recommendation we tried the best Egg coffee, Bun Cha, Bami.. everthing, you just ask them and will get the best deal! I really enjoyed the breakfast facing the beautiful lake in the old quartier with the delicious Pho ( of course you can get western breakfast if you prefer, but i just love Vietnamese food), fresh fruits, fresh juice, coffee, ect. The location is perfect, can reach every where by feet. I am missing our stay there...

Not suitable if u have old folks as u have to climb flights of stairs.

Hotel staff were all very friendly. Sebastian was very helpful and gave a lot of recommendations on food and shopping etc. Alex was also very helpful with our luggage up the stairs. Hotel is located from 2nd floor as first floor is a convenience store. Very convenient. Call the hotel when u arrive and the guys will come down to help u with the luggage.

Initial arrival is a little chaotic as you have to navigate a convenience store and up some flights of stairs, but texted the hotel and they sent someone down promptly to help with bags.

Came as a solo woman traveller and felt incredibly safe throughout. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Alex and Benjamin were both friendly and amazing staff. Loved that reception would help and advise on just about anything - money changing, laundry, suggestions on where to eat. Even the cleaners and breakfast servers always had smiles on their faces when they saw you. Breakfast on the rooftop was a treat with a view of Hoan Kiem Lake. Location was perfect. Wish I’d gotten a room with a lake view but that was (understandably) booked out.

Great unique hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Sebastian and his staff went out of there way to assist us. Fantastic breakfast on top floor with great view. Ideal location for exploring Hanoi.

This boutique hotel is located right in the center of Hanoi's old quarter, many attractions are at walking distance. The hotel staff is really supportive. My room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. As mentioned by others, to access the hotel, one needs to come through a convenience store and use stairs.

La Belle Maison is a wonderful option in Hanoi. I like doing research and this place didn’t disappoint at all. First off it’s right by the lake and walking distance to many spots around the old quarter. The facilities are impressive new and clean, there was no noise in the evenings that interrupted our sleep. And the staff is amazing : Sebastian (front desk) is always eager to help you out with tips and anything you need . Breakfast is incredible they prepare every morning for you a selected menu in their rooftop, so you can have a great start of your day, breakfast lady is super friendly. I cannot recommend enough this place, stop your research and stay here. By the way, the circle k downstairs is a positive since you don’t have to go far to buy water and snacks at anytime… it was not a problem at all.

The hotel was absolutely perfect, the room was huge and super clean. The á la carte breakfast was always prepared fresh and tasted great. Sebastian was super tentative and even helped us book different trips during our stay and gave us great recommendations of how to best spend our time in Hanoi. Overall a perfect stay.

Entering through a crowded Circle K might not be for everyone! We found it unique! (Belle Maison staff carry your bags upstairs for you so that isn’t a problem).

The room was lovely, stylish and comfortable with fantastic French colonial character which is exactly what I was looking for (gorgeous original shutters etc, very charming). It was a calm retreat from the bustling streets of Hanoi. Bed is enormous! We had a lovely balcony over the street up amongst the flowering treetops, perfect for a cup of tea. The breakfast room on the 6th floor has an incredible view over the lake, a serene start to the day. We enjoyed the a la carte menu for breakfast which is a nice change from buffet breakfasts. In typical Vietnamese hospitality the breakfast was generous- enormous in fact! The staff are what really made the stay special, Sebastian and his team are highly professional and kind, super helpful about anything we asked or needed. Sebastian is so knowledgeable and helpful- found haircuts, researched pottery purchases, booked airport taxis etc. Five stars for Sebastian and all the staff, (breakfast chef was delightful!)

The bedroom was incredibly clean and spacious. Beautiful bathroom. Provided a car service to the airport without any extra charge. This was extremely helpful because it made traveling to my next destination a lot less stressful.

There is no elevator. It was appreciated advance notice was given on the booking confirmation and the staff carried our luggage to and from the ground level to our rooms on higher floors.

Sebastian, Alex, and the wider team were excellent, informative and accommodated all our requests including a later check out with ease and efficiency. Somewhat quirky being situated above and entry via a convenience store, this newly opened boutique hotel is centrally located in the Hoàn Kiếm district with rooms that are comfy and clean. Breakfast was à la carte, and generous with their portions. Bonus points for the stunning views of the Hoàn Kiếm Lake from its restaurant on the top. This hotel is affected by road closures to cars on the weekend for the Weekend Walking Street, so if you check in on a Saturday night as we did, ensure you coordinate your arrival with staff, or take up their option of airport transport to avoid issues with access to the hotel.

Everything was fine, just two things to watch: if you can’t manage stairs this place is not for you. Also a blind across the window above the main door would keep light out of the room from the hall: help better sleep.

Location was excellent. Stayed on Friday night and could walk around market and lake so easily. Very picturesque. The old wood furniture and French Vietnamese feel was lovely. The balcony had amazing lake view, although the rooftop area is not officially open, we were able to take our own drinks up, the breeze was cool and view of lake at night unbeatable. The bed was comfortable, sheets soft and clean, bathroom lovely, bath huge: I could float in it. Breakfast good, lovely fruit.

Nothing, everything was PERFECT!

What an amazing stay! I took a risk on this place when I booked it, as it was newly opened and had no reviews. WOW, did I make the right choice! From the moment we met Sebastian and the team, they couldn’t have been more hospitable! The warmth and kindness from every staff member made this hotel an unforgettable experience. We stayed in a lake view room, which was spectacular. We were so impressed with all the modern amenities, including a hot light in the shower that you can turn on to stay warm while wrapping your towel around you! The room's decor was beautiful, it was cleaned extremely well, and the bed was so comfortable. The little things were thought about, such as toothbrushes, earplugs, and a steamer provided by the hotel. The views from the breakfast room were fantastic, and the coffee was perfect. The only thing I'm sad about is that next time I come to Hanoi, this hotel will be fully booked! Get in while you can!
