How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

None. Maybe the shower accessories are a bit hard to use. 1 day in our stay, the water was not so warm.
We really enjoyed the stay. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was decent and good enough. The view on the rooftop during breakfast was superb. The staff, especially the receptionist girl, was very hospitable, friendly and helpful and helped us arrange the cab with reasonable price to visit places around. We definitely will stay again at the hotel when coming back Cao Bằng.

Coffee shop or spa didn’t seem to be open - but plenty around
Clean, lovely room with a balcony - great place to base yourself to explore the area.

The tap in the shower is very confusing and not at all convenient to use
The deco is really nice. We have a nice view from breakfast restaurant. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly. The lights can be either white or yellow.

The staff is really nice, enthousiastic and helpful! I asked them to arrange a cake and champaign for my husband's birthday, and they did. And more. They have decorated the room and made it a real sweet surprise! Also the guy at the reception informed us about some cool things in Cao Bang. They really like to work with guests. We loved it.

This was in a very good location in the city. It was comfortable and clean, and staff were very helpful. Our laundry was done beautifully and we enjoyed the view of the city out of our room. In terms of price and quality, the stay was excellent.

The Personal organized everything for us, bus transport was comfortable. The recommended Tour Operator (ecotravel) was awesome in Organisation, price and Service. Funny roof top Cafe and Bar for the hours after the scooter Trips. Breakfast was manifold

The shower door didn't close properly, and the laundry service was over priced at 70k per kilo and didn't seem to actually be washed.
This hotel is fantastic! The staff are incredibly lovely and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The bed was divine! There is a great view from the rooftop bar, where breakfast is also served. The only thing that could have made this hotel better would be a pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Photos on the Booking look to be artist impression and not actual photos but given the value for money here, this is not a big issue.
Extremely value for money, staff were very helpful in giving recommendations for Cao Bang and helping us with arranging a motorbike rental. Breakfast was accompanied by an incredible view of the city.

My Partner and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a motorcycle trip. The young lady at check in was lovely and looked after our needs for the 2 days, from organising a late lunch to assistiing with local knowledge of the area. The room was very spacious, clean and quiet, we had corner room that had a very small balcony. The hotel has a rooftop bar which was great for a late afternoon drink and watch the sunset, and was also where breakfast was served. Overall would recommend and would also stay again.

The price of laundry was insane so had to do elsewhere. Bathroom had a weird smell from time to time, but I’ve had that everywhere I’ve stayed in Vietnam so likely unavoidable.

Beautiful new hotel. The rooms spacious, beds so comfortable and lovely hot shower. The standout are the staff who went out of their way to assist us with any requests. By far the best hotel in Cao Bang.
