The heat/air conditioning was a bit hard to control but we just opened a window. It was a wee bit noisy one night.

The staff were excellent!!!! You'll never meet nicer people! The location was perfect- right in the old quarter, near the lake and close to train street, night market etc.

Great location in Hanoi’s bustling old quarter. The rooms were very comfortable and it was nice to have a balcony to look over the activity below. A good range of food offered for breakfast. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Newly refurbished hotel in a very central location in the Old town. Everything is in walking distance and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Stay in the executive suite for big window and view into the old town.

Staff are super friendly and just the most helpful I have ever encountered in all my travels! Location in the Old Quarter is superb. Lots of places to eat within working distance. Breakfast is delicious and simply superb! I would definitely stay here again! The front desk and breakfast staff and porters are simply amazing!!

Excellent location. The room was outstanding. The staff was the best of it, they helped us with everything that we needed. Tours, bus tickets, recommendations and always with a kind attitude willing us to have the best experience in Vietnam.

Aside from the small breakfast area and the entry foyer there are no other common areas in the hotel, but with coffee shops, restaurants and shops immediately available outside the hotel, this was not an issue for us.

Very convenient location, 100m from the lake. Our higher level room (suite with balcony) was bright and spacious with a good outlook. Very clean and well presented. Staff very attentive and responsive to any requests, we could not fault them. Welcome drink, wine, roses on the bed and daily piece of fruit nice touches. There was some background street noise (but that comes with the location and any accomodation in the area would be similar) but that did not bother us (certainly did not interrupt sleep) and it was quiet from late evening.

Excellent breakfast selection, outstanding, friendly Staff. Location was fantastic. You were right in the heart of the day quarter but the rooms.were perfectly quiet-you would never know. It would be our choice of Hotel again for sure.

Perfect position. We walked everywhere and didn’t need to catch one Grab. Great price for our family. Staff were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and spacious for our family of three with a teenager who likes her space. Breakfast had great options. Highly recommend. Thankyou for making our stay memorable.

Nothing really to state anything negative about it. The room we had could have been bigger and had the window fully close but for the price and location and star, it was good. Breakfast was quite small but again for price, it was good.

Location was the best you can get and most importantly the staff! The staff at reception were exceptional.

I like everything about La Selva. We arrived early and they let us check in soon after they finished cleaning the room and even help us with our luggages. We were given welcome drinks as soon as we arrived. They even gave us a comprehensive guide about the city. The staffs are nice and very helpful. They can communicate English well. I love the different variety of food they put on breakfast buffet. The location is also favorable as it is close to different attractions and restaurants. Wifi is good with no disconnection. They even gave us parting gift which is a very nice gesture of them. We will surely choose La Selva when we go back to Hanoi!

the beds are not as soft as we are used in Europe but I learned it is normal for Vietnam.
